We loved this cabin! It was charming. Best feature for us was the outside with beach and large dock. Cabin is ideal for family 4-6 with space :)
Owners were very helpful and amazing! We would stay here again! They also have a few others cabins to rent and all looked very nice. Location is great.

Cozy little place full of character!
Nice views of Crosslake and close to lots of restaurants and shops. Sandy beach and dock were great to have. The cabin had everything we needed, and the owner was very easy to work with. If you are looking for cozy, charming, and homey - this cabin is perfect!
We had a great time staying here on Crosslake. The cabin is very well kept, clean and easy to get comfortable and cozy in for a week long stay. The boat dock was a real treat with a nice secure slip for our boat to spend a week in the water. Fishing from the dock yielded quite a few panfish and northerns.
Had a relaxing stay with family. Beach was great for the kids and cabin was cozy yet equipped with everything we needed. Two living rooms were ideal to allow kids and grown ups to hang out separately, but in close proximity.
We had a great time at this cute and cozy cabin. The host was extremely responsive. The family lives nearby. They were available, friendly and were able to fill us in on the fun history of the cabin.
The location is amazing, the dock was perfect for our boat and the space in the cabin was perfect for the 3 of us. If you are thinking of renting this cabin, do it!
What an amazing spot! This location was so cozy and quiet, the property was great and Marilyn had everything we needed! The view was so beautiful, we had morning coffee on the dock everyday! The cottage was perfect for just the two of us! Absolutely hope to visit again!
My friends and I had a wonderful time at the cabin. The location is perfect, easy access to the town of Crosslake and a wonderful walking trail across the road from the cabin. The cabin was great for 4 adults, very clean and comfortable. We found ourselves enjoying coffee on the dock in the mornings and ending our evenings around the firepit. The views are amazing both during the day and evening. If you have a boat, the boat slip made it very easy to come and go from the cabin. We are very grateful to the owner's hospitality and opening their home to us. Hope to see you again next year!
This is our second time booking this cabin- We came back because of the great location, gorgeous beach, and wonderful host!
There have been many updates made to the cabin, it is a cozy place to stay and has everything you need.
Thank you Marilyn for all of your little personal touches to make our stay so wonderful! We will be back again!
We had a fantastic stay! The cabin is cute and charming, just right for our family of five. The location is incredible, and the beach area is very nice.
There are window AC units in the bedrooms and TV room, although we did not need them during our visit. The kitchen is on the small side, but is very functional and has all the pots, pans, and utensils you might need. There is a very nice grill on the porch. The grounds are well maintained; we did not use the fire pit due to the recent drought (our choice), but it looked very nice. We found the cabin to be very clean and well cared for.
We brought our boat with us; there is a public launch about a mile down the road. Even with low water levels this year, we didn’t have any issue navigating the landing or tying up to the dock (we have an inboard motor).
All in all, a great trip!
We stayed a week at this quaint cabin. Perfect for small families or couples. The beach/lake area was very private. Hosts were pleasant and attentive.

Total disappointment
The cabin is extremely outdated and small. It is overcrowded with too much furniture and just lots of stuff. It is extremely musty smelling. We also felt as if we had no privacy. We were told that we would have access to two different outdoor fire pits. The nice one by the lake was right in front of the owners lake home and the other one was behind the cabin that we rented but we could not use it as it was piled high with brush. On Friday evening we were having a fire on the owners property. We were sitting there for about an hour when suddenly we were soaked because she turned on her sprinkler system. We could not reach her so we left a message and she finally called back about 30 minutes after the sprinklers went on. We had to stand by the lake as sprinklers were going off on the properties of her home and the cabin that we rented. There was also no access to use the oven as we would have had to move the refrigerator out of the way as the oven door would not open otherwise. We spent the first 3 hours of our vacation using Lysol wipes to clean everything. It had not been cleaned for a while as the counter tops in the kitchen turned the Lysol wipes black with dirt immediately. The lake view from the dock was pretty much the happy part of our vacation. Extremely disappointed to say the least. We also were told that we had to park our vehicle across the road from the cabin which was extremely inconvenient for us. There was also an outdoor table and chairs that was sitting underneath shrubs and there is no way we could have made use of those as it was filthy. There was also holes in the screens of the cabin which made it difficult to enjoy the fresh air as we did not want all the bugs in the cabin. This cabin definitely is way overpriced and needs a lot of TLC.
Marilyn was a fantastic host! The cabin was well appointed and cozy, with amenities available that you don't always see, such as aluminum foil, soap, fresh towels, etc. It's the little things that matter and Marilyn provided them! It's close to town yet quiet and there's a wilderness trail nearby that was enjoyable. All in all, this is a great place to stay in a very good location! Thank you, Marilyn, for everything!

Just returned from a wonderful week in Cross Lake. The lakeshore and fire pit area are excellent. Big dock to put our boat and a sandy beach that we were able to pull the jet skis up on. Plenty of chairs down at the beach.
The cabin was very clean and more spacious than it appears from the photos. We have two college age boys who would never share a bed, but the cabin has almost a second living room with a TV, air conditioner, and pullout couch that one of the kids was able to sleep on, we used that as a 3rd bedroom (just didn't have a door to shut ).
Marilyn was very easy to work with. Hope to make it back up to this cabin next summer.
This beautiful cabin & property was a Gem! Very clean and rustic feel. The firepit was amazing! We did not have to purchase local firewood as the owner kept on hand very nice and dry. The beach was sand, raked and would make a fun place for little children to play. The lake was clear & wonderful to swim, paddleboat and fish. It was minutes into the town square and local shops. We would highly recommend this property!!
We enjoyed our stay at Marilyns cabin with the highlight being the outdoor fire pit and beach area. The lake is beautiful and there is a very nice walking trail to use along the lake. The cabin is older and comes with an “older” smell especially in the bedrooms. Otherwise the cabin was clean. We did however see mouse poop on the counter on the last morning we were there.
