The unit was clean and well cared for. The kitchen was small and not well suited for dining at home.There was no access to ice. Location was great. It served our purpose for a short stay.

Great Stay! Parked the car and never touched it until we left.
We had a nice stay in Carlsbad. You can walk to most everything you will need from the property. The only mishap was the electronic keypad to unlock the door decided to take a break at 10 pm on one of the evenings as we were returning from dinner. We were able to get it resolved. It was nice to have the beach chairs and a wagon to haul our items to the beach! Great Stay...

Great Spot!
This was the perfect stay for us. We were close to everything without being on the busy main drag. Jess did an amazing job with this apartment and the bed was SO comfortable. We will definitely be back.

Perfect for us
Super cute place to stay. Having beach toys, a wagon, outdoor shower and pack-n-play was wonderful! Also the room darkening shades made it so easy to put a little one down before sunset. Was super quiet, comfortable and so close to the beach. Beach area was so easy to get to and beautiful. Would definitely stay again!

Loved how accurately close this place was to the beach, very walkable. It was also very walkable to the several shops and eateries on Carlsbad Village Dr. The place was very clean and surprisingly more spacious than expected.

Great Little Place
We stayed for a week in June of 2024. The unit is an apartment on top of a garage that is a secondary building on the property. Although it was a little tight for the four of us, the patio and outdoor area provided plenty of space to eat meals and just hang out. Our host, Jess, was very accommodating. The washer and dryer in the garage came in very handy. Also, he allowed us access to beach chairs, coolers, games and a wagon to drag it all down to the beach, which was only a block away. Wonderful location with many amenities within walking distance. The one negative was there was a fair amount of construction. Fortunately, they shut down at night and on the weekends, allowing for some quiet time. Would book again in a heartbeat!

Very nice property and location. A couple of blocks to walk to beach. Short, easy walk to Carlsbad Village. Pay attention to description of property regarding only street parking and mini-fridge/wine cooler/no oven. One couch and no table/chairs for dining. Not an issue for us but might be for some. Easy to access hot tub and large outdoor table to use along with a grill. Could see a limited view of ocean from small deck area with a couple of chairs and a table accessed by metal spiral staircase. Was satisfied with unit.

Comfortable, clean, great location
We stayed here during March. The property is accurately represented in the listing. It contained everything we needed - note that the kitchenette is small with small fridge, full size coffee maker and toaster. No oven. Room darkening shades were awesome. Hot tub was awesome. Roku on the TVs for streaming. One block walk to the beach. 15 minute walk to all the restaurants and shops in Carlsbad. Much recommended!

Better attention to detail needed
The location was great. It’s quite small so it works for 1 or 2 people. Unfortunately a new condo was built behind the house so there was no ocean view…big bummer. TV in the guest room was wonky and wouldn’t totally shut off so light was on all night. Had to put a towel over it to sleep. No coffee or cream/sugar, another real bummer. They did bring us coffee but we had to steal sugars from every restaurant we went to. FYI -you can’t park in the driveway which is kind of a drag when arriving and departing.

Nice place a block away from the beach. The Studio was nice and layed out perfectly… the only complaint was the master bed was too soft for my Wife and myself so we switched ethe other room with twin beds…. Heather was great , replied quickly with my questions…

Carlsbad beach house
Clean and modern with nice decor. The kitchenette has no fridge (If that was mentioned in the website posting, I missed it. If not, it should be.) The outdoor space is nicely landscaped-nice hot tub and grill. Private and quiet (although a big construction project, either new house or apartments, is underway behind the house). Roof observation deck is a bonus. Nice stay, overall.

Clean and comfortable. Easy to get around, close to the beach and the village! Quiet at night for a good night sleep! Comfortable bed. Living space is tight but we knew this before arriving. Everything we needed was provided. Full size refrigerator in the garage for extra groceries. Would recommend to anyone looking for a laid back beach vacation!

Our weekend retreat
Almost perfect. Living area is tight for 4 adults. A couple folding chairs would be good for sitting inside. The many pillows on beds are pretty but not necessary and they sadly end up on the floor. The 2nd bedroom should have a mirror...perhaps on the back of the door. Rooftop patio has a view of the ocean. Loved it. We would definately come again.

Cozy Space 1 1/2 Blocks from Beach
Heather's place is very clean, well-appointed and most importantly a simple 1.5 blocks from the beach! The outdoor spaces, including an observation deck, are available to guests and definitely add to the overall enjoyment of the space. The beds are super comfortable and everything in the unit worked very well. Heather's communication was very warm, clear, and open. Thank you, Heather, for a wonderful stay in Carlsbad!

beautiful location near the beach and Carlsbad village
My wife, our two school age daughters, and I booked this location while in town for a girls lacrosse tournament. The property is very close to the beach and downtown Carlsbad village making it easy to grab meals and a little sunshine in between tournament games. We stayed in the guest house location, which was perfect for our short stay. Everything was as described, up to date, clean, and easy to get in and out of. Heather was very nice and accommodating. I would recommend the location and would also consider renting the main house for longer vacation stays. Thank you Heather for making our stay so enjoyable!

Great Place to Stay!
Myself, my husband and our two adult sons took a few days before our daughter's wedding to escape to the beach! This rental location is great. Just a couple of blocks from the beach where we enjoyed several morning walks. Just minutes from shops and restaurants by the beach. It was a cozy fit for 4 adults but we didn't spend much time in the apartment anyway. Everything was very clean and pretty much as described in the listing. My only notes are make sure you are aware there is no true eating area in the apartment. Maybe having some "tv trays" in the unit would be helpful?? We ate several meals at the outdoor table by the spa which worked out fine. Loved having access to the washer and dryer so we could leave with clean clothes! And loved the upstairs deck. Great spot to relax with an ocean view. Having the shared garage and driveway with the front rental was not an issue. We had great "neighbors"! Overall a great place to stay...The owner was great and offered clear instructions for check-in/check-out. We would stay here again!

I immediately fell in love with this home because it has the best of the original 1947 house along with thoughtful updates and immaculate care. We wanted a place that we could invite our out-of-town family and friends come and stay close to our home... and the beach!
