About this property

Three bedroom Florida ranch house set on end of canal with a very nice view of the Caloosahatchee River. House is approximately 1060 sq. ft. with two full bathrooms. Two bedrooms have queen beds and one bedroom has two twin beds. Kitchen has all updated appliances with new refrigerator, stove and dishwasher. Drip , french press and pour over coffee makers with a high end bean grinder. (I like my coffee) Nutri Bullet blender, toaster, microwave and all flatware, plates and glasses. Three flat screen TV's 55", 42" and 36" .Over the air antennae. NO CABLE OR SATELLITE SERVICE PROVIDED. Xfinity Internet is provided. Most people use their streaming services. TV's in living room and sunroom have Roku players. Small garage with washer and dryer, workbench and tools. Outdoor propane grill. Three coolers, three fishing rods, bait buckets, beach chair, four bikes and a compressor. Large dock and fishing at times can be quite productive. Mangrove snapper, catfish, snook, redfish, ladyfish and trout can be caught depending on the time of year. Occasionally you will see manatee and dolphin right off the dock. Lanai has many chairs with a table and umbrella. PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO HURRICANE IAN THE HOT TUB AND KAYAKS ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE. . THE HOUSE HAD MINOR FLOODING, SOME DRYWALL AND FURNITURE WAS REPLACED. EXTERIOR OF HOUSE WILL BE PAINTED IN THE NEXT TWO MONTHS. THE HOUSE IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR RENTAL ON A MONTHLY BASIS UNTIL APRIL

Wonderful stay!

We loved the house, the neighborhood and the location. The place was clean and perfectly suited for us. Also, the kitchen is much better stocked than most places we have stayed. The owner was very easy to get a hold of and very pleasant to work with. We will definitely by back!

What a view!

We loved this house. Perfect fit for my husband and I as well as a few visitors. Great view down the canal and nice dock for watching dolphin, manatees and enjoying the evening. Jim, the owner, was very nice and easy to communicate with. The neighbors were friendly as well as helpful with any questions. We hope to be back again.

Outstanding All Around

Property is beautiful and exceptionally located. Host is meticulously organized and happy to share knowledge and advice about the area, including restaurants, fishing tips, and fishing guide and bait shop suggestions. It is entirely feasible to catch fish every day in the back yard.

We had a great time at Jim’s place.

Simply perfect!

This property was perfect in every way! The location couldn't have been better for us and the home was just as described, and included ALL of the "things" that made it a true home away from home for our 4-week stay. There was no shortage of towels, linens, dishes, etc. that we've sometimes experienced with other rentals. Jim, the owner was a delight to work with - very responsive, and Anna, the next-door neighbor who helps care for the property could not have been nicer. We will be back!!!

Relaxing peaceful place.

Quiet relaxing place to stay with plenty of delicious places to go eat, fully equipped kitchen to cook in if that’s your thing. Not too far from the beach.The hot tub and kayaking were my favorite things. The house was clean and well maintained. Would definitely go back. Jim is really a great guy who answered all our questions and made sure we were happy with everything! Thanks, we enjoyed.

I have been married for 35 years with two daughters. We have a small farm in Elverson Pa with several dogs, cats, horses, fish and birds. I enjoy many different types of fishing but am most passionate about Florida fishing.

Why they chose this property

We traveled to the Fort Myers area for a vacation and through a friend discovered this property for sale. I had fished several areas in Florida over the years and the Pine Island, Sanibel Captiva area offer so many different types of fishing that we couldn't resist buying the house in 2006.This was a "Fixer Upper" and over the next few years we spent a lot of time and money renovating and updating the property and house. I've gotten to know the area fairly well and can try to help you with anything you are interested in.

What makes this property unique

Sitting on the dock looking out to the river is very relaxing. On occasion you will see dolphin, manatee and otters in the canal.
