Short stay
Overall the stay went well. When the first person came to the house we were told it had not been reserved and would not let us in. Another person came and saw out reservation and let us in. There was a dead mouse in one bedroom that we had to put in the garbage. Other than these things the stay was nice.
Eleanor was so easy to work with and all her directions were clear. She was quick to answer all my questions and provided ideas of what to do while in Bennington. She also saw that we were bringing kids, and she was quick to offer a pack n play and high chair. She even stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed. The pack n play was a little wobbly, which Eleanor mentioned replacing soon!
Beds were comfortable and the bedrooms charming. It was perfect for 6 adults and 2 children. We could have easily fit 2 more adults. Thank you Eleanor!
Awesome old farm house with everything you need. The location was great. The house was perfect, just what you would imagine in Bennington, VT. When you walk in, it feels like home.
We were here for five days on business - the weather was perfect, the accommodations so much more comfortable for us as a group of business travelers than a hotel with room to lounge, eat, and meet. Excellent Mennonite bakery and a pretty good restaurant within two minutes of the house. Very nice.
Place was great and had a plenty of everything in the kitchen and everywhere else for that matter. Plenty of comfortable spacious rooms too. King mattress upstairs was really comfortable. I would book again.
It was nice that everything we needed was there. The beds were comfortable. The house sits on a busy road, which we were not aware of. However, you couldn’t hear the traffic at night. It’s a farm house and you can tell that as soon as you walk in based on the decor. The kitchen appliances were in excellent condition and the bathrooms were updated.
It was comfortable for a two night stay.
The Farmhouse has five comfortable bedrooms and two renovated bathrooms. The kitchen has been updated and is very well equipped. Although we didn't use the laundry room it was bright and spacious. The parlor was quite comfortable and the décor throughout was country. The house's location was near shopping, hiking trails and sightseeing places. Our host was very congenial and easy to get in touch with.
Our host was very nice and responded back quickly to questions during our stay. This house was spacious, comfortable and close to the downtown shops, restaurants and attractions. It had lots of homey touches and was perfect for our college friends reunion. It was pretty warm outside during our visit but the window air conditioning units kept the whole house cool and comfortable. That was wonderful. Would stay here again if given the opportunity.
upon arriving was a little hesitant, outside not very appealing but as we pulled around back found it to be charming. adequate rooms, comfortable, met our desires.
Thank you
We had a great time during our stay. We went skiing at Mt Snow, and ate dinner at the Publyk house down the road. We had the most amazing sleep because the beds were so comfortable.
The hosts were so easy to work with and the home was perfect. Well equipped and clean and very comfortable. Beautiful views from the living room. Great game room. Big property and very private.
We had a lovely family stay at Eleanor’s. Our family had a lovely time in the home and felt very comfortable. Having all the standard home staples was a major plus!! Having all the sheets , towels, bath products and kitchen items were the best benefit! The host was receptive with all communication. Thank you for the hospitality!
Our stay in Vermont was perfect. The location of the farmhouse was cute, comfortable and cozy and had everything we could possibly need. Super close to the Farmers Market that could provide anything one might want to stay and eat at the house. We chose to have our meals out and the farmhouse was convenient to restaurants in Bennington and the nearby town of Manchester. I’d highly recommend the house again.
We were a party of five who visited Pennington for a class reunion. The house was perfect. Each party had their own room so it was quite private and having a bathroom on each floor really helped. We also use the kitchen to cook dinner one night which worked out quite well. Plenty of plates, silverware and cooking utensils to prepare a very nice meal.
Spacious farmhouse located just five minutes from downtown Bennington. Comfy beds and a well stocked kitchen. Being minutes from town, it was on a somewhat busy road- but inside the house it felt like you were in a cozy, serene home.
Our group of 7 had a great time at Eleanor’s property. The house was clean and well-stocked. Eleanor was a very communicative host and let us know about the snow conditions before we got there. Our small car had no problem accessing the house, and the driveway was well plowed. We would definitely stay here again!
The house was lovely, comfortable and had all necessities available. It was close to shops and restaurants very accommodating. The communication with the owner was excellent and quick to respond making our rental and check in very pleasant, after a long drive from Miami Fl. I would truly recommend the farm house for your stay in Vermont.
We were 6 members of an extended family staying at the house with 2 family members who lived close that hung with us. It was perfect. Plenty of towels, an abundance of kitchen supplies, pots pans, dishes and silverware. It was a great location. We enjoyed sitting out on front and side porches. We would enjoy staying here again.
While visiting a friend in Bennington, several of us stayed at the house. It is very nice. The bedrooms are attractive and the beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with dishes, etc. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and little side patio. It was brutally hot that weekend and the house A/C units worked great. The Publyk House is right down the road and a nice market is equal distance in opposite direction. If you need a place to stay in Bennington this would be a good choice.
