Great location, in need of repairs
We took a chance by staying in this property with no reviews. For the most part, it worked out great and we had a pleasant stay. The property was very clean upon our arrival and had lots of storage in the bedrooms and in the full bathroom. Beach decorations abounded, and a lot of care had clearly been taken to furnish a cozy home. The provided beach gear was wonderful for our family! Close proximity to the beach and local businesses was a huge plus. As the week progressed, we could tell the old home needed more TLC before it was really ready for renters, as some things malfunctioned once we tried to use them and others were unsafe. The owner was pleasant at first and came to fix the leaking spigot, for example, but it continued to leak thereafter and we just avoided using it. Once locked, the newly installed storm door seized shut and we were told to just leave through the side door, for which we were provided no key. For the remaining 4 1/2 days we had to leave with the house unlocked and were unable to secure our possessions. This should be considered unacceptable. The electricity had a short in one of the bedrooms; would recommend caution and not letting children plug anything in just in case. By the second day the kitchen became inhabited with ants; we cleaned after every use and sequestered our food to no avail.
