This place is awesome. Its not dirty its preserved and perfect. Our kids loved it the fishing was great. Communication was good we had a issue with cleaners coming too soon. Hope to rent this place next year as it is amazing.thanks again for us beeing able to stay here
Perfect little cottage! Was great for the kids, nice sandy bottom and great swimming and the kids loved the kayaks and campfires. Thank you again for allowing us this opportunity! We hope to be back again!!
Good location -- we like to visit Traverse City and the towns like Frankfort on the Lake Michigan coast, which are not too far away. But at night we have the quiet lake and campfire, with good stargazing. Enjoyed paddleboarding, kayaking and fishing on the beautiful lake.
it was our dream trip back to a beloved childhood place
As kids, my brother and I had spent many many summers at our grandparents' house on that lake. It was and is SUCH a gem and we wanted to relive it since their house is very sadly no longer in the family, and we hadn't been there in many decades. It was a dream to rent a house on the same road, and to take our parents who also had a huge attachment to it as well. It was everything we imagined and hoped for. The owners were wonderful as well and we are so grateful for the opportunity to spend time on the same road and lake right down the road from a place that had felt like home to use our entire childhood.

Updates Needed
The location on the lake was beautiful and the neighbors were all very nice. The owner was also very responsive however, the cabin its self needed a lot of updates. The overall vibe in the cabin was dingy and overall feeling of being dirty.
We had a nice stay at this property. I thought the house was just as described in the listing. The owners were quick to respond to any questions I had. We washed clothes and dishes at night to avoid running out of hot water. The owners were generous with towels and supplies which was refreshing. There were a lot of bugs in the house, especially upstairs were my kids were sleeping so I had to spray them every night before they went to sleep. And this is no reflection of the owners but the lake had swimmers itch, and some of us got it. However, we still made the most of the water by using the kayaks and paddle board provided. And we tried to swim in the deeper water. Overall it was a nice trip.
We had a great stay at this cabin. The views are FANTASTIC. We would have loved to experience the kayaks, fire pit, and sitting on the deck, but weather prohibited it. The TV didn’t catch many channels and the dirt road needed maintenance, but those are the only small negatives. The owners were available by phone and very responsive. I would highly recommend this place.
The house was as described. Clean and comfortable. Enjoyed many hikes and biking in the area. Owners were responsive and great to work with. Definitely recommend.
Exactly what a lake vacation should be. Decent driving distance to all the attractions. Fun lake activities. We enjoyed quite a few of your DVDs and board games.
Some of the lake’s best fishing is located straight out from the dock, and we also really enjoyed kayaking and stargazing at night. The sunrises from the porch view, or sunsets from the dock view, were great. Close enough to Traverse and Lake Michigan to do fun day trips, too.
Was a good location. Beautiful lake with fantastic sunrises and sunsets. House was good; a comfy stay with plenty of room for our fam of 5. Host was great and very fast with communication. The only downfall was we all got swimmer’s itch. So did our neighbors. The water is shallow all around the dock and beyond, which is great for little ones swimming, yet not great for swimmer’s itch. We tried to prevent with topicals and still each ended up getting it to some degree. This is zero fault of the host of course, yet a bummer and important factor in our overall experience to share.
Property offers beautiful views of the lake. You can stay there and enjoy the lake or venture out to see the many attractions in the area. We visited Sleepin Bear, Traverse city, Leland, wineries, lighthouse and many other local attractions. This area of the country is beautiful and the upper great lakes are amazing.
We had a relaxing and fun vacation at this cottage. Everything was clean and convenient. Loved having laundry, AC, and a well-appointed kitchen. Green Lake is beautiful and pretty quiet. It was really nice to be close to fun spots like Traverse City, the Platte River, etc. Thanks Marissa!
Host was very responsive with any questions we had leading up to our trip and gave great recommendations. Quiet, beautiful lake. We enjoyed the kayaks and having fires at night. Property was very clean and had everything we needed there like a home away from home.
Great Cottage for families, the lake is very quiet, clean and shallow. The kids had a wonderful time fishing, catching crayfish and kayaking. The cottage is close to 3 restaurants and a grocery in town, also close to Traverse city and the Sleeping Bear Dunes for day trips or a meal
Well outfitted with everything you need to cook and eat there. Plenty of towels. The kayaks and SUP were good and there life jackets to go with. Even with the other reviews and photos, I was surprised by how shallow the water was. Family of 5, and we had plenty of room that we did not feel like we were on top of one another. One bathroom and one bathroom sink for 5 people was a challenge at times, because we were used to more space than that. I think a little sewer maintenance might be in the near future as well because sometimes I could get an unpleasant smell while running a sink.
We enjoyed our stay at the cottage and if we vacation in Michigan again we would stay again. Only thing negative and not the owner's responsibility is the road leading to the cottage. It's literally a dirt road and rather bumpy, maybe that's a common thing in that part of Michigan, but not what we are used to. The cottage is fully stocked with towels and all kitchen implements you need to prepare meals. The views of the lake are breathtaking. We rented a boat so the dock made it very convenient for us to take the boat out whenever we wanted. It took us 2.5 hours to drive to Mackinac island, well worth the drive. Highly recommend this cottage!
Beautiful property and a comfortable cottage equipped with everything you could ever need! We had an amazing time, kayaking, campfires, games, day trips, you name it we did it!! It was a perfect week away!!

Perfect getaway
Clean and well equipped. Always pleasantly suprised to find the small kitchen details and a good spice cabinet because who packs one?!? Good morning fishing and a nice boat anchorage. Lake bottom is 3 feet down until about 100 yards from shore FYI so shallow & silt/sand. Almost no lake traffic. Great neighbor as well.

A great family getaway!
We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The space was spotlessly clean, very well equipped, peaceful, beautiful and our group had a fabulous time.
The cottage is small but has everything you need. It worked fine for our party of 9. The sofa bed was very comfortable and there was more than enough bedding, towels, plates etc for our group. Plus, with Green Lake right on the doorstep, the children spent most of the time outside, kayaking and playing in the water.
Marissa was a very responsive host. We definitely plan to return in the future.

We live in East Grand Rapids, MI and spend as much time up north as possible!
Why they chose this property
We purchased our cottage because Northern Michigan is a magical place. We both have such great memories of going "up north" as kids and wanted to make sure our daughter experienced the same. Interlochen is a sleepy little town away from the hustle and bustle of Traverse City, but still close enough to enjoy the shopping and restaurants. It's also a great base for excursions like Sleeping Bear Dunes or a trip over to Fish Town in Leland. In the winter, we ski at Crystal Mountain which is only 12 miles away.
