Creekside Haven is conveniently located less than a mile from restaurants, shops, and the festival grounds yet sits quietly on the bank of the bold rushing creek. Easy paved access makes Creekside Haven the perfect place for skiers and motorcyclist alike!
Please note at this time wading, fishing and swimming are not allowed in the creek at this location. Fishing is allowed farther up the creek. This property is not pet friendly. Unauthorized pets on property will incur a $300 per pet penalty.
Just a few minutes’ drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area (known for being one of the first ski resorts in the US to open each year), Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (a historic motorcycle museum featured on the History Channel's “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing. In about 25 minutes, you could be in Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street in Waynesville and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.
This home is about a 35 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Harrah's Cherokee Casino (even if you do not gamble, Harrah's has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday).
A little more than 50 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estate & Winery (America's largest and most visited privately-owned home), many great restaurants and micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 30 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.
Approximately, 1 hour away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas. You are just under 1 hour 35 minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (home of Dollywood).
There is paved easy access, upon approach. The driveway is paved and not far from the main road through Maggie Valley. We do experience inclement weather in this region, seasonally, all-wheel drive and/or 4-wheel drive is recommended in winter.
