Bungalow Five-17 is conveniently located on a quiet street just a walk away to Main Street. Renovated 1930's vintage bungalow is perfect for a girl’s weekend, romantic destination, or family get away.

An open floor plan provides 2 living areas, fully equipped kitchen that is complete with top of the line appliances, wine refrigerator, stainless steel countertops, coffee bar, and everything you need to cook and serve dinner on an extendable table that seats 6 maybe even 8 if you have friends stop by.

Essentials include Wi-Fi, flat screen TV, central heat/air, washer/dryer, gas fireplace, 2 bathrooms, a soaking tub, walk in showers, updated linens, updated family room furniture.

Awesome Cottage
This was a great little cottage and a perfect location! Newly renovated, and the pics of the cottage were certainly spot on. What you see if what you get, and you won't be disappointed in this home. We loved the decor, the very comfortable beds and the fire pit and sitting area in the backyard. There is a great table for gathering in the kitchen area for the morning coffee. It is very walkable, just a couple of blocks from Main St. We had a small internet issue during our stay, but Jeff (the owner) was very quick to respond, and we kept in touch regarding the issue. We have rented a lot of VRBO's for our travels, and I confidently say, Jeff is a very good host! If you're visiting Fredericksburg with a small family or couples, this unique, cool, cottage is definietly worth choosing for what will be a memorable stay.

Charming and super clean! Linens smelled wonderful! Master bath is adorable. Beds were comfortable. A/c worked great, Kitchen well-stocked with dishes and pans. Backyard was peaceful and relaxing. Corner lot allows for extra parking.

Great location and beautiful place
We were able to walk into the main part of town in about 10 minutes, the property is very nice and we had a great time! They have a lovely fire pit and I appreciated that the previous renters had left some snacks and s’mores behind so we could enjoy. The bathroom set up is a little weird, the two bathrooms are in 2 of the bedrooms so if you have people staying in the third bedroom they have to go through the bedrooms to get to the bathroom. Not a huge deal for our group, it’s a great place in a beautiful neighborhood.

We loved the updated homey space, we ate breakfast, played rummy cube while we enjoyed catching up with each other and our lives we ate, we shopped, and found time for some wine during our visit. I was able to walk ti church on Sunday before we left. Perfect.

I can't remark on process for renting cottage, as daughter set it up
Nice location. Quiet neighborhood, convenient to main street in town. Spacious for 2 grannies on a retreat/shopping trip. The only negative thing we would say is that we had a lot of trouble reaching the property manager. I believe that has been resolved. We had no other problems after that.

A great wine weekend!
What a great property! We stayed with our best couple friends and left the kiddos at home. The house has pretty much everything you would need and is so beautifully decorated! Location is great too - we'd definitely stay again!

Great house that is on a quiet little street and also within walking distance to Main. We loved hanging out at the home so much, we ended up staying there to cook a few nights (and had lunches out.) The home is super clean and has a great backyard with a grill and swing. Super private and very charming

Why they chose this property

We love spending time in Fredericksburg and felt it was time we found a house of our own after spending a year renting other homes when we visit. We chose this lovely, charming home the very day it came on the market after looking for months.

The previous owners rented the house on VRBO for almost 2 years, and it was a 5 star rated place to stay, listed as Wine Down at the Peach House. It is our goal to maintain such high reviews and know you will enjoy the home, the quiet neighborhood and wonderful Fredericksburg, Texas!
