Beautiful character house, comfortable 180 m2, tastefully renovated, located 10 minutes walk from the castle of Azay-le-Rideau and its shops.

The house has an enclosed garden of 850 m2, several terraces, a 7x4m secure swimming pool (open from May to September and heated in season) as well as a pool house: independent studio next to the swimming pool.

Inside the house, 5 bedrooms, one with private bathroom, 1 shower room, 1 bathroom, 2 WCs, a fully equipped kitchen open to a spacious living room.

So in total 6 bedrooms.

Ideal cottage for 12 people.
Maximum number of people: 16 because possibility of adding 4 mattresses for children

Comfortable service: induction hob, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, freezer, iron and ironing board, toaster, coffee maker, raclette set, TV, stereo, Wifi.

On-site parking: up to 5 cars in the yard

Pets not allowed, non-smoking rental inside the house, no disabled access.

Weekly rental for July / August and Christmas: arrival on Saturday from 5 p.m. and departure on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Vacances au top ! La location est superbe, vaste et bien agencée. Tout le monde a son espace personnel, ce qui est très appréciable lorsque l'on est nombreux. Gros bonus : on a bien profité de la piscine !!! On s'y revoit déjà l'année prochaine :)

Quelques points à améliorer pour atteindre l'excellence !

Un gîte joli, agréable, bien situé et bien équipé mais non recommandé aux personnes ayant des pbs de locomotion (bcp d'escaliers, gîte "ombiliqué"🙃) et quelque peu bruyant (en bordure d'une route très passagère) Quelques soucis rapidement réglés avec l'aide de Natacha mais reste que les siphons des lavabos et des douches mériteraient un nettoyage approfondi, l'état de propreté des alèses et oreillers doit être vérifié, certaines ampoules doivent être changées (spot extérieur par exemple), le pool house sécurisé et entretenu (dominos et lambris extérieurs)...Cela dit, nous avons passé un excellent séjour ! 😊

bien mais des choses a revoir d'urgence

bonjour, c'est une très belle location dans l'ensemble, avec de très gros défaut a revoir rapidement. sur 3 wc, 1 ne ce verrouille pas +douche et l'autre ne s'ouvre pas de l'intérieur une fois verrouillé, idéale pour passer la journée enfermé dans les wc. sinon le premier étage mériterais une bonne rénovation, c'est un peut vieillot. denier point noir, il n'est pas possible de régler le chauffage ??. malgré tout la maison est trés belle et bien équipé

Poor accommodation with excessive extra costs

We are four retired men who rented this property as a base for a cycling holiday. Whilst the lounge and kitchen are fine the bedrooms, showers and bathrooms in particular are poor and cramped, one shower has glass shelf that has to be avoided, the bath is difficult to access even for fit people. The single bed mattresses offer little comfort and the overall layout is difficult with a mixture of upstairs, downstairs and external bedrooms. A small building next to the pool houses a sofa bed ( one of the listed doubles) and a shower/toilet. It is unlikely that the shower curtain has been cleaned or replaced for some time as the bottom 150 mm was black with mould. Hanging space in the bedrooms was limited and in some cases blocked by extra 'put you up' beds. The wooden terrace is also dangerous with lifted boards which are a trip hazard. Although the description listed both towels and bed linen provided, these are at additional cost, listed in the small print in French. The cleaning fee which is usual in France is also excessive and they obviously missed the shower curtain! Although the owners where advised that we were four men and requested 4 sets of bed linen, only two were initially provided and despite the charges one has to make ones own bed. The 'no refund' and deposit clauses also should be considered. It is unfortunate that this interesting and scenic area of France was spoilt by choice of accommodation.

Gîte tout confort fidèle à sa description.

Nous étions 4 adultes et 6 enfants et le gîte nous a apporté tout le confort nécessaire pour passer d'excellentes vacances. La route est assez fréquentée mais permet de rejoindre le centre de Azay-le-Rideau, ses commerces et son château.en 5 minutes à vélo (10 minutes à pied). Nous avons été comblé par la météo et avons pu bénéficier pleinement de la piscine.

Good experience

Myself and my 3 sons and their wives /partners stayed for a week at this house. The lady who did the key hand over was helpful and very welcoming. The bottle of sparkling wine was a lovely addition .. thank you. The house itself was clean and spacious though the lay out is a little rambling this added to the charm. I liked the fact that there were games and books available to borrow. Table tennis was a real hit with my Son's. Would be positive if there was some information in the pack in English for those who are not able to read French. (Not a problem for us as we have French friends in the area). Bedrooms were fine though the raised bed was incredibly hot. My son and his wife chose that but very quickly moved to the pool house !! The pool was extremely cold (visited 9 th June). The weather was warm but not sunny as a result we only used it twice. The other issue was that the cover for the pool was unusable as it was tied up in numerous places and everyday the pool was very dirty with leaves and debris. If you could have put the cover on it would have kept it cleaner. The locality of the property is brilliant. Within walking distance of Azay Le Rideau and many of the Loire Chateau. All together an excellent home. My only criticism is with the marketing of this property. On booking I was not made aware of additional costs for bedding, towels and cleaning. This amounted to an additional 322 euros which came as quite a shock a week before we arrived. I don't feel this is the fault of the owners but Home Away should be more honest about the total cost.

très bon week-end hivernal

La maison a beaucoup de charme. La rénovation de la pièce de vie est très belle. C’était assez grand pour nous (10 adultes+1bebe). Nickel ! Juste dommage pour le prix un peu prohibitif pour les draps/ serviettes et le ménage mais on a eu le choix de le faire nous même.

Très belle maison bien équipée

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. La maison était bien plus grande qu'elle n'y paraissait sur les photos. Rien à redire, tout était fonctionnel et très bien équipé. La literie était confortable. Natasha nous a très très bien accueilli se fut un reel plaisir d'échanger avec elle. Quand aux propriétaires, ils étaient très aimables et disponibles. Dans l'ensemble nous sommes très sa-t-il faits de notre séjour.

Très belle maison avec une très belle décoration, très bien équipée, bien située pour les excursions en famille - il y a tellement de choses dans le quartier. Belle piscine chauffée, assez grand pour une baignade rafraîchissante. De nombreux commerces et restaurants à proximité. Tout ce qu'il faut pour un séjour fantastique et belles soirées.

Très déçues

La maison est dans l'ensemble correctement équipée malgré une toute petite cuisine (pas plus de 3 personnes dedans pour une location de 10/14) La veille de notre arrivée, nous avons été prévenues de la panne du chauffe eau engendrant des douches à l'eau froide durant trois jours pour 9 personnes. Cette panne datait pourtant de la location précédente. Une piscine "chauffée" si on aime la fraîcheur des 18 degrés et l'eau mal nettoyée. Bref nous ne nous sommes pas baignées. Malgré nos demandes anticipées de chauffage de l'eau (condition sinequanone de la location). Et aucun geste commercial pour ces désagréments. Nous avons payé plein tarif sans eau chaude et sans utiliser la piscine. Pas très commercial, malgré une bouteille de pétillant offerte à l'arrivée pour 10 personnes. Déçues de la prestation, nous ne recommanderons pas ces propriétaires.
