DAYDREAM AND MORE
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mossy's cabin on the Kilcher Homestead site. We so welcomed the quiet hillside for our daytime retreat. The cabin was well appointed. The literature in the cabin shined a light on the history of the Homer and the Kenai peninsula. We come to the Homer area regularly, and hope to connect with Mossy in the near future.

Beautiful cabin off road experience, watched an owl for over an hour with morning coffee.
We would definitely rent again, enjoyed the history of the place, it has a Mother’s love for the outdoors. The owners were easy to work with.

Born in Alaska, I am the eldest of eight growing up in a one room log cabin in the remote wilderness. Since age 9 I have been an avid birder and photographer, have produced Alaska's first bird dvd and cds of their songs. In the 1980's I produced my own music record. SInce then I have been a member of the cattlemen's association, own and operate an organic farm with a big you pick raspberry patch and host guests from around the world.

Why they chose this property

What makes this property unique

Peace, privacy , wildlife viewing, birding, beach combing, meet various Kilchers, hike and take photos, tour the historic museum, experience a genuine , rustic lifestyle while living in comfort and within a few miles of fine restaurants and unique local activities. .
