Come get away from it all at this modern, well-furnished new mountain cabin. Experience living high on a mountain overlooking Lake Coeur d’Alene, Mica Bay and the historic Cd’A Mountains of North Idaho. Driving the two miles of private road to this retreat, you will experience the peace and quiet of forest living while you fill your lungs with the fresh mountain air. The whisper you hear is the wind in the pine and fir trees that surround this comfortable hideaway. Although you are only eight short highway miles from all of the restaurants and amenities of charming downtown Cd’A, the simplicity and solitude of a mountain home will be yours.

Nearby you will find something for everyone. As well as the public golf courses available to you in Cd’A, within a 15 mile drive south you can golf at renowned Circling Raven Golf Course and Casino (owned and operated by the Coeur d’Alene Indian Tribe). Two private golf courses are also within 10 miles (Black Rock Golf Course and CDA National Reserve). The Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes paved bike path, just 20 minutes away, leads you to a ride across the paved trestle at Chatcolet, and the charms of the lakeside town of Harrison. Conveniently located for boaters and lake lovers, this cabin is four miles from a public boat launch and access to all of Lake Coeur d’Alene’s fishing and water sports. There is also private and secure parking for your boat near this cabin.

BEDROOMS AND BATHS: This home has two comfortable bedrooms with plenty of natural light and beautiful mountain views. The master suite upstairs has a comfortable queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with large walk-in shower. The second bedroom on the main level has a queen bed and two large windows that catch the cross breezes, and extra mountain views. Just around the corner from the second bedroom is a full bathroom with a second walk-in shower.

INDOOR LIVING: The modern kitchen has every amenity, from top of the line appliances and granite countertops to a large variety of cookware and dishes you’ll need to prepare those special meals. Included is a microwave, convection oven, large refrigerator, dishwasher, large deep sink, coffee maker, blender and toaster. A glass-topped dining table for four is perfect for sharing laughter and the stories of your day’s experiences. Comfortable seating, a gas fireplace and a large flat screen TV make the end of your day cozy and warm.

AMENITIES: This home has cable TV with full package options, WiFi, and good cell service. A gas barbecue is located on the expansive deck, along with outdoor seating and a dining table for four. A washer and dryer are located in the home for your convenience.

Enjoy this special hide-away for anniversary celebrations or honeymoons, or experience the quiet and peace you need to author your book or paint your masterpiece. Come put your feet up after a full day of activity on or around the lake. This cabin, just off the Iron Man and Cd’A Triathlon bicycle route, will allow you close access to all that Cd’A has to offer. You will enjoy sun rises and moon rises over the lake, stunning sunsets, and dark skies full of stars from the large decks surrounding the cabin. The setting is beautiful in every season! Come and experience convenient, close-to-everything mountain living.

Perfection!

Excellent location if you want to escape from town. Located at the top of a mountain, this is a beautiful and comfortable cabin. So relaxing to drink coffee on the deck looking out at the view. The sunrises were fabulous! We met the owner and he answered all of our questions about Coeur d'Alene. Hoping to return and enjoy another week.

High Quality and Relaxing!

This property was one of the best we've stayed at in our travels. Everything in the house was clean, high end, and good quality, making our stay enjoyable. We even ended up cooking many meals there instead of going out because it was so relaxing. This cabin was only 15 minutes away from the city and the lake, but felt far removed and quiet. We would like to come back someday.

Mountain cabin just south of Coeur d’ Alene

The property was set only two miles off of the highway but a thousand feet above lake Coeur d’ Alene. So, access to town was easy and it was quiet and serene. The wrap around deck provided both views of the lake and views of the wooded nature surrounding the cabin. The facility was clean, comfortable and decked out with luxurious amenities.

Great place

We had everything we needed and then some! It was so easy to just relax and take it in. Very clean and well appointed home! WiFi was a little slow but we managed. Cooked our own meals, watched a lot of TV and enjoyed the people we were with. Owner is very personable and attentive to any need you might have. No mistake in making this booking. We accidentally discovered that Buck knives are made here and that was a fun visit. Nice people there! Would love to stay here again!

A Little Piece of Heaven!

This was better than expected! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, very peaceful and relaxing! The house was clean, well-stocked, and well-maintained. Location was great, close to downtown CDA and all it offers. We would definitely stay here again and we would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area. T

Bucolic-yet-modern cabin

Our experience here was quite good--the cabin was in a peaceful wooded setting with beautiful views over the valley floor below. It was cozy w/o being cramped, well appointed, well maintained. Generally very comfortable; the beds did let us down just a bit, the mattresses were fine but we're spoiled by our king-size at home.

Beautiful view!

The cabin is amazing! We loved sitting out on Deck and watching the sunrise and sunset. Everything we needed was provided at the cabin. We loved being close enough to the lake and city and far enough away that we are up in the mountains. The views are gorgeous!

Beautiful cabin / view - crazy drive

This cabin is immaculate and beautiful. The view is majestic. If you are looking for a quiet getaway with mother nature, this is the place. The drive up to the cabin is on a single lane road with crazy switchbacks - you never know when you might come face to face with an elk.

Best Rental Yet

My husband and I rented this cabin and it was fantastic. It had all the kitchen items that we needed, washer/dryer, lots of towels, two lovely bedrooms and bathrooms and the million dollar view with a large and beautiful patio, where I spent hours!! The photos are exactly how the rental looks. We loved being away from a lot of people in our own slice of heaven, looking at the best view in the area! After watching for wildlife for several days, we finally were able to see a mama moose with her two babies as we left the property. So cool!

The Cabin

Loved the property. Can't beat the wrap-around deck and the views. The unit itself was great as well as far as quiet, comfort, finishes and decor. Needed to unwind and rest and this was the perfect place for that.

Slice of heaven on earth

This beautiful mountaintop home is even better than the pictures! The home was immaculately clean and had all the amenities to make it feel like our home away from home. We enjoyed the breathtaking views from the deck, especially the gorgeous sunrises. The location was secluded, restful and quiet but close enough to downtown Coeur d’Alene to make it extremely convenient. Wally and Dawn are gracious hosts and we hope to visit this fabulous home again.

Great views and wildlife

After the smoke from the fires cleared out the views of the lake, forest and sky were as advertised, even impressive at times. We have a great picture of a sunrise. We had moose pass the house on two mornings and were visited by a deer on another. A flock of wild turkey also inhabit the area. We enjoyed our stay with access to Couer d'Alene, Sandpoint, Wallace and Spokane.

Best Place in CdA!

I’ve stayed in numerous VRBO’s, AB&B’s, cabins, etc. and on many, many occasions, I’ve found serious discrepancies between online reviews and the actual property. I understand that we want to be nice, especially if we’ve met the property owners but this doesn’t help future guests choose the best property for their stay. It also doesn’t help the property owners improve their property which would result in repeat business and more profit. I’m as guilty of this as anyone and I say this because this property is truly worthy of glowing, 5-star reviews! It actually exceeded our family’s expectations, which isn’t easy to do. The owners are so kind and attentive and the home is immaculate, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable with high-end appliances, great water pressure and everything else anyone could want. I don’t want to say too much because I think it’s best that you discover this jewel and all it has to offer for yourself. I will say that the images online don’t do it justice. It’s much nicer and way more beautiful than pics can show. We can’t wait to come back each year and we’ll definitely be booking this again!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was the most perfect romantic getaway. We spent the days in Coeur d’Alene and were so excited to come back each afternoon to our little home away from home. We enjoyed making dinner each night and eating out on the deck with a glass of wine. It was definitely a relaxing setting!

Beautiful and Quiet Escape

We had a wonderful weekend at the cabin, despite the heavy smoke in the area due to so many fires in the pacific northwest. The first morning we saw a gorgeous sunrise from the expansive, wrap-around deck with a view of the lake as well. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing - just far enough away from town but a close drive in. The cabin is beautiful, with lovely decor and very comfortable as well. We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to return again in the near future! Thank you!

The perfect mountain perch!

We enjoyed every minute of our stay in this beautifully furnished and decorated home. It is perched on the side of a mountain with an amazing view and the location offers peace and tranquility. Every detail has been thought of. Wally and Dawn, the owners next door are very interested to ensure you are enjoying the area while offering complete privacy. We love observing nature and enjoyed bird watching off the deck where multiple options are available to comfortably enjoy it in sun or shade. Dinner on the deck at sunset was a real treat!
