We loved the ability to not only reconnect with nature but the interactions and visits we had from sheep to Hannah (the dog) and Honey the (cat). Sunsets and the moon rising from the platform in the upper field will be memories we will cherish. Interactions with the hosts and the breakfasts delivered every morning were excellent. The only negative comment we had was the cabin could use a good deep cleaning especially in the kitchen. We hope to return soon.
Thank-You,
The Koebel family.
The house and surroundings have everything you could want for a family trip to the countryside. Multiple areas indoors and out for hanging out and relaxing, full kitchen, woods, fields, ravines, friendly farm animals, and warm baked goods in the mornings.
This is the third stay we have enjoyed at this Vrbo cottage nestled in the farmlands of the Driftless region of southeast Wisconsin. This rental is quiet and cozy. No TV gave everyone a chance to talk, play games, enjoy a fires in the large stone fireplace and enjoy meals together at the large kitchen table. There are animals that make their home here on the fame so expect a visit from a friendly cat or dog on the front or back porch. Go and visit the goats, chickens and donkeys too. The breakfast alone is worth the stay. Just rent this one and be so happily surprised with everything.
We will be back as it’s now become tradition.
Trillium was the perfect spot for our group to stay and attend the snowflake ski umping festival in Westby. The home was very quaint and reminded us of an English cottage. All the animals were friendly and enjoyable to watch. The observation deck in the field was a hit with my son and his girlfriend. They even saw a shooting star! The morning baked goods and eggs were such a special touch. We hope to make this a yearly visit for the ski festival.
Staying at the Hill House was a wonderful experience. We were 3 couples attending a wedding in the area. We could have not asked for better accommodations. Trillium is located in a beautiful country setting. We enjoyed sunsets on the observation deck in the beautiful field where the Queen Anne's lace was swaying in the breeze. The breakfast served by your hosts is amazing!!! My favorite part was all the animals. The goats who greet you, the cats who love you, and Hannah, the dog who loves you and watches over the place. We will be back to this beautiful spot.
Great location. Wonderful hosts. The owners brought a nice little breakfast each morning which includes fresh baked bread and scones...
The highlight was eating dinner on the upper pasture while the sun set and then sticking around as the stars came out.
Just wonderful.
We highly recommend...
Our stay was wonderful. The cottage was perfect. I did not realize that the cottage did not have a television!! This made our stay even better!! We knocked out three jigsaw puzzles and have great family conversations
Linda and Frank are wonderful hosts !! My daughter loved the animals and exploring the farm.
Loved the farm animals - donkey, chickens/roosters, pig, sheep (but felt bad about the cat sitting outside the front and back door looking through the window wanting to get inside).
The breakfast items were delicious - bread, muffins, scones, eggs.
Not sure if the main bed was a queen or full - it was a bit firm for me.
We made a fire every night in the indoor fireplace and there was plenty of wood - and the ability to get more if needed (with no charge).
Frank was very helpful with information about the area.
This was a beautiful winter getaway! Linda and Frank were wonderful hosts. The animals around the property were friendly and sweet. The fireplace was amazing and created a warm and cozy space. Our boys loved sledding and skating on the small pond. Hannah, the dog, led us on a winter walk along a trail. The fresh eggs and baked goods each morning were wonderful. We are definitely going back.

It was a great stay overall had a couple things that could be improved
It’s only got one bathroom which is kinda tight for 6 people is the only thing I didn’t like
An amazing stay at a beautiful home in a gorgeous setting. Even rainy and cold weather couldn't keep us from having a good time. My kiddo loved feeding the goats and petting the farm cats. Delicious baked goods delivered to our door each morning fueled us up for walks around the beautiful property. Won't be our last visit!
The gorgeous deck was our go-to hang out spot, at least when we weren't walking the trails or watching the goats, ducks and pigs on the property. The hosts bring by fresh bread and eggs every morning and the setting is stunning.
Located in West LaFarge, Amish country, the cottage property is charming and well situated for fishing. The owners live on site (big house) but there is still peace and quiet. It’s a great value.
This was the second time my friend and I met here for a writing weekend and we were not disappointed. The cottage is beautiful and cozy, the animals are friendly, and the breakfast is delicious.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Hill House on Trillium Farm. We were greeted and escorted to our lodging by two beautiful ginger kitties. The beds were extremely comfortable and the atmosphere was super homey as well as quiet. Much charm! The breakfast that was delivered had wonderful baked goods. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would love to go back again soon!
Everything about our stay was enjoyable. The cottage was comfortable, warm and very clean. The owners were friendly and made sure that we had what we needed. Freshly baked bread, eggs, muffins and jam were perfect each morning for breakfast. Hannah the dog was very friendly and accompanied us on our hike around the property.
I highly recommend renting this property.
This place nestled in the farmlands of the Driftless Region on an 85 acre farm is the perfect escape. We were there for a Galantines weekend and it did not disappoint. The fireplace was warm and inviting, the animals that lived at Trillium were friendly and sweet. The hand delivered breakfast of homemade breads, muffins, jam and farm fresh eggs is the absolute best deal of all. Comfortable beds, coffee and tea by the fireplace in the morning made us all wish we could stay just a little while longer. Would love to come back for another season at this property. The view from every window is so beautiful, you feel as though you may be in a fairy tale. We had the best time and we plan to return❤️
We wanted to be near our son and his family who recently moved to this area and this house was perfect. The fireplace is beyond amazing and they kept us supplied with firewood and anything we needed! The fresh eggs and baked goods are famous by now at Trillium, but well worth mentioning again!
My family and I sincerely enjoyed this experience! The home was cozy and clean. The beds were comfortable. The wood burning fireplace was a wonderful touch and contributed to the warmth and ambience of the home.
The breakfast was simply amazing. Delicious homemade bread, warm blueberry muffins, and fresh laid eggs all delivered by Frank in the morning.
Before we checked out we spent time petting the goats and donkey. Hannah, the dog, led us on a short trail hike and the cats were as friendly as could be.
We were delighted and are looking forward to returning again next year!
