"Moose Hollow" is located next to the Red Lodge Mountain Golf Course and offers great views of the Beartooth Mountains from the living area in the WINTER. You can look up at Red Lodge Mountain and decide if you want to rush up and hit the slopes or have another cup of coffee. In the SUMMER you can enjoy the beautiful foliage and listen to the sound of the creek just a few steps from the patio. The paved city walking path is adjacent to the complex for your walking/running/riding pleasure.

This two-bedroom, two-and-one-half bath AIR-CONDITIONED townhome comes equipped with all the amenities including linens, towels, a full kitchen with all new stainless appliances including a gas stove/oven, washer/dryer, gas fireplace, and a private hot tub and gas BBQ grill on the patio. It's only a mile and a half from downtown Red Lodge and located just minutes away from skiing, golfing, hiking, biking, four-wheeling and fishing. Whitewater rafting/kayaking is just 35 miles away. Fantastic place a must stay in Red Lodge.

Thank you for such an amazing experience. Moose Hollow is the most wonderful place-the amount of care and detail went into decorating this place and making it truly the most thoughtful and heartfelt place we stayed in. Great location to biking, hiking trails and town as well. Small little creek just out of the back door and all amenities that travelers need. Great beds too. Thank you very much. 150 % recommended

Fantastic creekside escape just outside of town!

We throughly enjoyed our stay! The hot tub was a nice way to end and start the days when the temps were cooler. We even soaked our feet in the cool creek after a long day of hiking. We will definitely be back!

Very Comfortable

We absolutely LOVED our stay. The condo was so homey, and we loved all the moose themed decor. MJ was a fantastic host, quick to respond to our questions and very pleasant to talk to. It was close to town, but far enough away to provide peace and relaxation. The hot tub was clean and the jets felt great on tired travelers' backs! We would definitely stay there again the next time we are in town. Thanks so much MJ for the use of your beautiful condo!

Condo in Red Lodge

The owner from whom we rented the condo, was very helpful and friendly. The only negative remark about the stay was that there was so many notes on the owners belongings and so many belongings in the condo that we lacked space in closets, drawers, and cupboards. This is the first VRBO where we felt we were invading someone’s domain. The owner was so very accommodating in returning items left in the condo.

Family getaway

Grandparents (my husband and I) hosted our son and daughter-in-law and 3 little boys (ages 6, 4, and 18 months) for a getaway. The home was so great. Loft area with bedroom and bath was perfect for the family of 5 (youngest slept in a pac n play). We ate all of our meals in. We hiked, fished, played outdoor games and went to the Yellowstone Sanctuary and city park. Loved the town of Red Lodge. MJ was available though her directions made it possible that we didn’t need to contact her during our stay. Totally recommend this property!

Sibling trip

This is a perfect property to give privacy to two different families with sleeping/bathing space for one family on each floor. MJ is a wonderful host who allows your privacy during your stay. We will stay here again if/when we return to Red Lodge.

Large bedroom with en suite downstairs and large bedroom with full bathroom upstairs, plus another downstairs bathroom, washer/dryer, hot tub, (clean and ready to use), and a creek running through the small backyard just off the patio. DJ was quick to communicate and very accommodating, the perfect hostess. On the golf course and a short drive to downtown. I recommend without reservation.

Excellent accommodations!

We just spent a girl's weekend with my mom and sisters at Moose Hollow. We enjoyed staying here so much! The unit is very clean, comfortable, and has everything you need. We cooked most of our meals right there. The kitchen was extremely well-stocked. The beds were comfortable. The hot tub was clean and so enjoyable. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe. MJ was so easy to communicate with and so helpful and responsive. I often say I would stay in units again, but we will be staying here in the future. Red Lodge itself is a wonderful destination, but I would use Moose Hollow as a base camp for Yellowstone, Beartooth pass, Billings, skiing, and everything else this area has to offer! Thanks again MJ!

A "Moost" Stay!!

Our stay at Moose Hollow was great! MJ shines as a host. We had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with her when we showed up at exactly 3:30 and she was finishing up cleaning. The condo was exceptionally clean, well stocked with kitchen items and paper products, and decorated perfectly for this Moose lover! My husband and I and his 93 year old mother fared well while there. His Mom is mobile and in good health but hates stairs, so she stayed downstairs and my husband and I had the upstairs to ourselves. The condo is not air conditioned, so in the above-average temperatures of this summer the upstairs was warm until up in the morning, but even this heat-sensitive person (I have MS) managed. We highly recommend Moose Hollow for your stay. Thank you, MJ, for your exceptional hospitality!!

Great place to stay!

We had a great experience with our stay! Very comfortable with my grand children. No air conditioning but was still very comfortable! Wished we would have stayed longer! Very easy check in and check out! Great host!

About the host

Hosted by MJ Dimich

I am a third generation Montanan and love the Red Lodge area! My dad was born and raised there, and my mom just over the hill in Bearcreek. I was born in Billings and have lived there my entire life. Growing up, most of our weekends were spent at my grandparents' ranch in Clark WY. I spent many summers at the ranch, as well as a few weeks in Cody WY with an old family friend.

My husband was raised in Minnesota and moved here in 1976. We married in 1988 after many years of friendship. We are downhill and cross-country skiers, rafters & inflatable kayakers, fishermen, hikers, campers, hunters, and occasional golfers. We basically love the outdoors! Ask us anything about the area, and we'll probably have the answer.

We hope you love our home. We are now renting it throughout the year, except for when we stay during the ski season.

What makes this property unique

Ultra-convenient for golfers… the clubhouse is just a few yards from the property.
In the winter you can sit in the hot tub and watch the ski hill being groomed. And in the summer you will enjoy the sound of the creek that is only a few feet away.
