Cottage on the Greens is a charming 2 bedroom, 2 bath home located adjacent to the Waynesville Country Club Golf Course. Surrounded by the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, you can view the greens from the large picture window in the living room and from the front yard patio. This home offers a small, but complete, kitchen that is stocked with everything you will need to provide meals. Central A/C with fans in the bedrooms and living room provide plenty of air circulation, especially during cooler months. Hi speed internet and wifi, with smart TV with Roku. This home features easy to adjust, double hung windows, walk-in shower in the master bath, a large walk in closet and new mattresses. Master bedroom has a queen bed and the 2nd bedroom has 2 twin beds.
Please note this is a pet friendly property. One dog, 20 pounds or less will be accepted. Additional pet fee will be charged. Unauthorized pets on property will incur a $300 per pet penalty. This vacation home is located near the Waynesville Country Club and lends itself to easy access. We do, however, experience inclement weather in this region seasonally, that may limit accessibility; all-wheel drive and/or 4-wheel drive is recommended in late fall or winter to access certain areas in town.
Just a few minutes’ drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area (known for being one of the first ski resorts in the US to open each year), Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (a historic motorcycle museum featured on the History Channel's “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing. In about 25 minutes, you could be in downtown Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.
This home is a less than a 30-minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Harrah's Cherokee Casino (even if you do not gamble, Harrah's has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday).
A little more than 50 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estate & Winery (America's largest and most visited privately-owned home), many great restaurants and micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 30 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.
Approximately, 1 hour away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas. You are just under 1 hour 35 minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (home of Dollywood).
