Keep looking! The reviews looked good, I discovered the few reviews and long time in between means problems unnoticed and lack of maintenance and servicing. I have pasted some of my communication with the prop manager to show issues. Check in Oct 19 for 9 days. Pool heat to be on prior to arrival.
-Me Oct 20; "Pool and hot tub are cold."
-Response; "I have just been to the villa to check on the pool ... The pool and spa heating are both working fine...
-Me Oct 20 later; "Are there separate thermostats for upstairs and downstairs? Kitchen area is warm and the thermostat on the wall in the kitchen area is just blank, like it’s off?"
(20 minutes to find issue)"batteries were dead. I took batteries from the upstairs and put them in the downstairs, has power."
-Me; "With cooling on temp went up from 77 now 79?"
-Response; Fail safe has probably kicked in, blocked condensate drains.
-Manager Oct 21-Pool heat; The pool tech came out to the villa today to inspect the heater, drip of water on the burners is extinguishing the flames. Safety is of paramount importance shut the heater down.
-Manager offered another property, then came by and recanted saying the unit had a water problem but we could use the pool since it was 3 houses away, he would turn on heat.
-Me Oct 23;"Checking about heat for *other address* pool and hot tub. How long does it take to heat? Just checked it tonight and it’s still cold."
-Response; The technicians were servicing the heater unit yesterday, and they haven't got back to me yet.
-Oct 24 me response;"I have tried to be understanding, but this is ridiculous. We chose this unit and paid more because of reviews and wanted a problem free vacation, been anything but problem free. First, the AC is dead and the AC is not working. The first day we are here the pool/hot tub heat is supposed to be on and it’s cold, you said it was working fine, then you update the heater is broken and can’t be fixed. Tuesday morning you tell me we can use the pool at ** but don’t want us to move because of a water problem, you are going there to turn on pool heat. Now 2 days later its being serviced? Why did you tell me you were going to turn heat on? 5 nights and have not spent 1 minute in a pool.
There is much more, but limited by VRBO in length. Never got to use a pool, additional upstairs AC died 1 night. Got constant run around. Kitchen needs update, especially appliances.
