I will start with this:
Cons: furniture is bit uncomfortable. The high table has chairs that are a bit short so working here was awkward with the laptop higher than what is ergonomically appropriate. The lounger in the living area gets to be uncomfortable after about 40 minutes, so I had to constantly switch position while trying to enjoy a movie. The bed is ... very uncomfortable! I believe it is due to the mattress being old (or worn). I awakened with a sore and stiff back after fitful slumber each of the 6 nights I was there. Perhaps rotating the mattress would help, if not replacing it ...?? I actually slept on the side away from the night stand. It was bad as well, yet better than the other. Not having a stove or real cook top was a bit of a bummer since I thoroughly enjoy cooking. But I knew this going in and it is easy to make the most of the situation.
Pros: Julie was very friendly, accommodating, and generous enough to provide suggestions for eateries. Check-in and check-out are flexible which is a HUGE plus. The location is PERFECT surrounded by shops, cafes, within close proximity to the Plaza, Westport, Loose Park (where despite rainy weather the entire visit, I was able to get in a good run and park workout for two days), etc. Parking was very convenient right jn front of the apt. The shower was ... MUAH! ... with perfect water pressure!! This is such an underrated convenience and was one of my favorite things about my stay, as were the fluffy towels and washcloths. The complimentary lotion and bodywash were a great touch.
All in all, this is a place I will definitely use again. I was in no way disappointed with the apartment or unhappy with my experience. With better weather the next time, I hope to get out and explore the area more.
Thank you!!
