Looking For A Home Away From Home?

My Sister's Cabin is located on the little Missouri River with a 3 tier dock on the water, where you can sit and enjoy fishing and the sounds of nature while watching the kids swim.

The cabin is stocked with towels, wash clothes, dishes, cookware, eating/cooking utensils, grill, washer and dryer. Two bedrooms have a queen-size bed with bedding/pillows and Roku TV in every room. Third bedroom has two full size beds with same amenities as other rooms. There is also an air mattress and extra twin mattress for those extra guest.

We recently added fiber optic WiFi for our guest to enjoy with the fastest speeds available in the area.

The living room has couch, big chair, and 2 recliners. Living area also has a 55” TV with Roku attachment. Dining room table sits 6 with an island that has a place for 2 to sit at. Outdoor porch has 2 tables with 4 chairs each.

The cabin has a picnic table and fire pit outside by the water. We are about 10 min from the Crater of Diamonds State Park, 5 min from Narrows Dam and Lake Greeson and right in town is the Famous Archaeological Ka -Do-Ha Indian Mound Builders. Don’t forget to check out the Antique and Rock Shops in Town.

Nice getaway by the creek

It was a wonderful rustic area. Inside it had the room and comfort our family needed. It was great to be able to spread out the kids. We loved going and getting muddy diamond mining. It was nice and close.

Perfect Solitude!

Our family enjoyed this riverfront cabin so much! It was a perfect getaway for our little family to unwind and relax. The kids enjoyed the swimming and us adults enjoyed the quiet countryside.

Beautiful setting

It was so peaceful on the river and we loved the huge porch. The beds were very comfortable and we had plenty of room. Despite being warned about the WiFi, it worked perfectly for us! We truly enjoyed our stay. We were disappointed because we booked the house expecting to use the hot tub that was listed but we were never informed it wasn’t working. Also we had a lot of trouble with flies in the house. We spent our first morning killing dozens of flies throughout the house and continued the battle throughout the weekend. The house was equipped with several fly swatters so I’m guessing it’s been a problem in the past. But overall we loved being there in such a great location. It was very relaxing and serene!

Spring break getaway

We had a wonderful time here. The cabin was very clean and comfortable with plenty of seating for my family. The deck and porch over the river were great to sit on in the morning while sipping coffee and listening the the birds sing. It was very relaxing. I would definitely stay again!

Remote River Cabin

We had a great trip celebrating my husband’s 60th birthday. The cabin was great and the river was peaceful and so fun for the kids The cabin was well stocked with cookware and utensils. We didn’t have much luck with the fish, but it was a wonderful trip.

Quiet and Peaceful

We chose this property because of the number of availble rooms, and the location. It did not disappoint! We had plenty of room for family, and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. The cabin is maybe 15 minutes from Crater of Diamonds, which is one of my favorite places to visit. It's also about an hour away from Mt. Ida, so if you like to hunt for crystals, it's not far. We spent a lot of time just sitting on the deck, watching the river and listening to nature. Wifi in the cabin wasn't great, but you don't go to a cabin to surf the net! The only reason for the 4 stars on "Location and Neighborhood" is that I would really love to stay somewhere truly secluded with no neighbors. There is another cabin about 100 yards away that is mostly hidden by trees, but not completely. There is also another cabin across the river, but only the deck overlooking the river is visible from this cabin. Don't misunderstand me, we still had a great time, and had no problems with the neighbors. I just really like to be away from EVERYONE when I get away (it's just the way I'm wired). Property owners were quick to respond to questions. We had a great time, and will definitely come back!

Happy grandkids

I don't know where to start and there isn't enough space here to share it all!! It was me,my daughter and her 5 kids ages 14,11,8, and 6yr old twins and the minute we turned into the driveway we were looking at @ 8 deer standing in the yard looking at us and that was the moment we KNEW it was perfect and fell in love!! Then we walked onto the deck and the view of the property, the forest and the river took our breath away and the love deepened! But when we walked through the door into the cabin it was so much more than just "a cabin on the river",it was not only beautiful but we instantly felt completely at home there.. for the whole of our stay every minute was better than the last one and we really hope to go back to stay there again! Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us!

The place was perfect! If you want a quiet location with a lot of outdoors to BBQ, fish, float on the water…this is your place. We had such an amazing time! No diamonds, but lots of memories! Thank you for sharing your little getaway with us!

cute cabin with a great view

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We had the best view of the river. I loved starting my day with a cup of coffee and sitting outside enjoying the view of nature. We were not crazy about the town. There wasn't a lot to do. The cabin more than made up for it though. We were able to really spend family time together with out the distractions of staying busy.

Lovely and secluded

This is a lovely and secluded cabin, set in the woods, right on the Little Missouri River. From the deck in the morning, I watched deer, rabbits, and squirrels play. It was peaceful, roomy, clean, and welcoming.

Cousin trip

What a fun, clean, peaceful getaway. The cabin was great. A truly FULLY stocked kitchen was a huge plus. It was like home away from home. The river was fun to swim in and the boys enjoyed making a dam. Saw deer in the mornings. Went to the diamond digging one morning and stopped in downtown for some shopping. The drive to the dog was about 15 minutes. I highly recommend this cabin and will be back next summer.

Beautiful cabin!

We had a wonderful stay here. The cabin was absolutely perfect for our group of 7. We enjoyed the dock where I spent my mornings drinking coffee and fishing. The diamond digging was no luck for us. However we did enjoy the arcade. My 4 year old enjoyed the Dino dig. We swam in the river for a little bit. We loved how clear it was! The Oklahoma storms followed us to Arkansas and it rained most of our trip. We made the best of it by enjoying the rain on the deck and hammock. The cabin is spacious enough that we all were able to enjoy quiet time by ourselves without having to be around everyone all the time. We cooked many meals in the cabin!! Definitely load up on alcohol before you come because the nearest place to get alcohol is 30 minutes away. No complaints on our end. We really enjoyed our get away!! Thank you for sharing with us for the week!😁

Overall, a good clean location. But overdue for some repairs…

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the cabin on the river, but I was surprised and disappointed to see the poorly patched areas of the decking near the cabin and the OSB covered areas of deteriorated decking leading down to the river. Way Overdue for some deck repairs! And take my advice if the downstream neighbor shows up blasting his truck stereo…DO NOT attempt to restore the peace and quiet by politely asking them to turn it down. The response will be to blast it louder and to demonstrate how loud the the truck can be by revving the engine over and over and over well into the night. I realize that you can’t choose your neighbors at a vacation rental, but I believe the bad neighbors were the owners of the adjacent cabin and had no respect for the renters around them. Thankfully they only tainted our stay for 2 days! Otherwise, we had a nice stay visiting the Lake, fishing for trout, and digging quartz crystals.

Exactly what we needed!

After deciding to visit the Crater for my birthday, I booked My Sister’s Cabin for our stay, it did not disappoint! It’s roomy, beds were soft and comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. Great water pressure and hot water, too. The washer and dryer came in handy after spending a muddy day looking for diamonds. Catching a few bass and trout in the evenings was the icing on the cake. Myself, husband and folks, all agree we will be planning another visit! Thank you!

Spring Break

Perfect place for families to getaway and get back to nature. Beautiful outdoor spaces to fish, set by the campfire making s'mores, or to just hangout and enjoy the view from the back porch. On those days when it's a little too chilly to be outdoors you can still enjoy the beauty of nature while the fireplace keeps you cozy and warm. With room to spare, 2 families with a total of 8 can have room to spread out and enjoy the end of a long fun filled day. Weather it's the dad's joking and talking about what to cook up for tomorrow's dinner, the moms catching up on what's been going on with everyone, or the kids playing and settling down in their room for the night. This place couldn't be more of a nature lover's delight. We will definitely be back !
