About this property

Stylish villa apt, world famous Bottom Bay 5 min walk, swimming pool.A/C

Sea Breeze , accommodates one or two people there is a super king size bed or two singles. It is ideal for anyone who wants to holiday on their own or even work in solitude. World famous Bottom Bay is a stone throw away, pure white sand, aquamarine coloured ocean and swaying palms..paradise on earth.
Wi Fi is included.
Two beach towels are provided for the duration of the stay, changed weekly. Every week fresh bed linen and towels are provided. If required maid service is available for cleaning at an extra charge.
Absolutely ideal for getting away from the maddening crowd yet a 20 minute drive will bring you to the lively South Coast abundant with café's, bars and restaurants and not forgetting the tropical beaches and azure coloured ocean. The west coast with its luxurious hotels, great shopping and famous restaurants is a 35 minute drive away.
Breathe taking Bathsheba is a few miles away and ideal for surfers.
It is a 15 minute drive from Grantley Adams airport, 10 minutes to a large supermarket, banks and Chinese takeaway. There is upmarket dining at the Crane and Atlantis hotels and numerous rum shops.
Award winning Marco Polo bar and grill is opposite the Crane. It is well known for its fish dishes and is reasonably priced.

Guest Access

Guests have their own private tropical garden with private access the dog is not allowed in here. Unless invited of course. He usually spends more time with guests than me! There is also Chequers the tortoise who wonders freely so please keep the gates closed.
There is another gate which has access to the swimming pool and deck. This area is shared with myself and Duke....with the exception of the terrace which is private. The pool is available for guests up to sunset.
Guests may use my washing machine.

Interaction with Guests

I like to welcome my guests with a complimentary cold beer in the fridge and a small welcome food package.
Interaction with my guests is entirely up to them, I understand that some guests want to enjoy their own space whilst others like to engage in conversation.
I like to take the hassle out of organising trips, car rentals etc for my guests so I am happy to do that for you. I can provide island tours, catamaran, sailing, deep sea fishing, submarine, zipling, horse riding, horticultural, museum, trips to name a few. The National Trust operates in the high season and I highly recommend their weekly openings of historical buildings, for a small fee. Also a microlight trip along the beautiful East Coast.
If, you enjoy keeping fit try Flower the personal trainer for a reasonable fee.

The Neighbourhood

What can I say. I thank my lucky stars everyday that I walk along the scenic cliff tops with my Duke and look at the breathe taking views of the Ocean and sandy white tropical beaches.Heaven on earth.

Getting around

The bus service in Barbados is very good and regular. The nearest bus stop is about a ten minute walk and a small hill. It is probably advisable to hire a car. Sea Breeze is a 15 minute car/taxi ride from the airport.

A little piece of heaven.
The apartment is nothing but perfect. Clean and perfectly equipped. Di is a perfect host and checked in on us regularly to see if we needed to know anything and give great advice The pool area is safe and perfect if you like shade or sun, and if you're lucky you will get a visit from the tortoise 🐢 Would strongly advise hiring a car.. it's 1/2 mile to the main road although the bus service is good.

Amazing!!!
We can't thank Diana enough for her amazing hospitality! My son and husband were there for a surf competition. She graciously messaged me to let me know they arrived safe and sound. She checked in on them and made sure they had everything they needed. The house was beautiful. Her pictures on HomeAway are exactly true to form. No surprises except for how truly nice it is. I can't thank her enough for making sure my son made it to the airport. When we return, we will definitely book to stay at her lovely place.

Low Price = Low Standards
Located in a nice area, away from it all and a short distance to Bottom Bay, but be forewarned photos and descriptions by the owner do not always represent the current state of the property. The bedroom is air conditioned, but the bathroom and kitchen/living room area are not. It can become unbearably hot and if you open the windows there are no screens, so mosquitoes and other insects can enter. Good luck if you plan on cooking in the "kitchen". The 2 burner hot plate is so old that it couldn't boil water and the burners are so bent that the pot kept sliding off. The couch smelled bad and there was dirt everywhere due to poor housekeeping. Metal surfaces were rusted and dirty. Items listed as being provided, were not. There was no hand soap, dish soap, shampoo, paper towels and the so called television was so old, and the metal connections so rusted that it did not work. We had no access to the washing machine after day 2. Couldn't use the safe because there was no instructions. There was supposed to be a telephone but we never found it. After our second night we found alternate accommodations and moved out for the remaining 5 days. If you doubt any of our claims, ask yourself why we would go to such expense if the place was even close to habitable. We tried talking to the owner but she spent more time telling us how we were wrong, and has refused to refund us even a partial payment. Yes the place is cheap and yes it is in a nice area but expect to get what you pay for. There is a reason this is one of the cheapest places to stay on the island. I suggest you spend a few dollars extra and stay somewhere nice. You spend your hard earned money on the vacation so don't cut corners on something as important a accommodations. Diana, good customer service is taking care of problems your customers might have and not gloating about your good ratings.

Great place to stay!
Diana is a great host. You will truly enjoy staying at her home while in Barbados. This villa is connected to her home but has its own private garden area w grill, own entrance, and some chairs for outside sitting/eating. Through another gate you can enjoy a swim in the pool. The public beach is about 5min walk down road and to left then down set of concrete steps (~20 steps w rail). On this beach the water is rough but it is a beautiful beach, the beach chairs are $15 for all day, no umbrellas (but has palm trees). To note: If you enjoy saving money you can stay here and use the public transportation its free and you can ride the crowded bus w locals to your destination (the bus stop is ~10min walk up small hill on a concrete road). Or stay here but rent ("hire") a car to explore the island on your own in an air conditioned vehicle. We traveled all over the entire island during a weeks stay and only used half tank (I would recommend paying the $30 at rent-a-car place instead of filling up on your own before returning the car as it was $100 Bajan/$50 US money when we filled back up). Bottom Bay is a bit away from south (Miami Beach) and west coast (Browns Beach) where a lot of restaurants and where the calmer beaches are located. But honestly the whole island isn't very big so everything is 20-50min away. Also, download Google maps on your phone it works while you drive wo data which was a life saver for us. Back to the review, staying w Diana is like having your own personal guide/friend on the island. She has been there ~12yrs and will let u know where to eat (Marco Polo, The Crane hotel, and Champers, also Cuzzs snack shack, Bubbas sports grill, and Fishermans Pub), where to go on tours (St Nicholas Abbey, Mount Gay Rum tour, and Banks beer distillery tour), and I'm sure would help w getting you a hired car (but we had rented one at the airport ~$300 US for week). We used the air conditioner in our bedroom every evening and night but turned it off during day. Suggestions for food you can shop at Massy's store or Emerald center store for groceries (and we spent ~$150 US for snacks, lunch food, wine, beer). I wouldn't say we are animal people, but Duke is very sweet older dog that does not bother you but also, for those who love dogs I'm sure would love the attention. This is truly a great place to stay, very clean (provided is two beach towels and two bath/shower towels for your stay) and Diana is a wonderful host.

Home from Home
We stayed at this beautiful apartment for 10 days in March. It was lovely, Diana the owner had thought of everything. It was spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable and it had everything we needed. The apartment is part of a Villa which is completely self contained, it is on the ground floor with its own private entrance and garden which is very secluded. The pool is shared with the owner, but that is not a problem as we had it to our selves a lot of the time The apartment is only a few minutes walk to Bottom Bay which is beautiful. We hired a car for part of our stay, which we think is essential for shopping and seeing other parts of the Island, although the maps are useless and the road signs are non existent on the east coast,( much better on the west coast) throw the map away and buy a compass instead! The weather was glorious and we had the most amazing time, we spent a lot of time in the garden with Duke, Diana's adorable dog, he's a gentle giant and a real softie. We loved the apartment and would recomend it to anyone. Thank you Diana and Duke for sharing your lovely home with us Show less

Thorough recommended.
We enjoyed everything about our stay in Diana’s apartment. It was spotlessly clean and all the equipment worked well. We enjoyed having our own front door and private garden. Trees screened the garden from the outside while still allowing the refreshing breeze to flow through. The bedroom with its giant bed had windows on two side making the air on unnecessary. The shower is large with good quality towels provided. The sitting room is comfortable with a two seater sofa and an armchair. The kitchen has all you need to cook large or small meals. Diana is very welcoming treating her visitors as guests. She is not in your face at all but is around if people want to chat. We enjoyed her company very much as well as that of her dog Duke and tortoise chequers. In our opinion a car is essential for stays here. The nearest food shop is a good twenty to half an hours walk away especially in the heat. Diana arranged good quality car hire for us. We can thoroughly recommend this apartment.

Lovely properety with a nice pool and private sitting area
Comfortable beds, plenty of storage and hangers. Decent bathroom with shower. Shared pool with owner but this was not a problem. Had good private outside area. Was quite distant from resorts so would probably recommend a car. Buses were frequent and cheap but so packed. Felt sorry for locals having to use them on a regular basis! The Boatyard in Bridgetown was lovely. Loved St Lawrence and Holetown. Food was great, flying fish a firm favourite as was the rice and peas. some really good local walks but take plenty of water with you. Overall a good holiday.

Had an amazing relaxing time!!
My daughter and I just enjoyed 6 days at Diana's lovely Barbados home!! We enjoyed our own private patio, had our own kitchen, bedroom with a king size bed, bathroom and living room. Beach and bath towels were included and the area was quiet and within walking distance to the beach. We had full access to Diana's pool and enjoyed it quite a bit!! And we can't forget to mention Duke...Diana's beautiful and super layed back dog who we felt very comfortable being and having around. Diana arranged to have a taxi meet us at the airport and their service was great..very professional and always showed up on time and even stopped at the grocery store on our way to the villa from the airport (saved us a trip out). Diana was an amazing host & welcomed us and we felt very comfortable & safe throughout our stay. Diana, thank you again for making us feel so welcomed, we had an amazing time!! Anna & Julia

Super Aufenthalt

This has been an amazing trip. Di's hospitality was above and beyond. Couldnt ask for a better host.
The hopsitality is beyond what anyone could expect. It is truly amazing to be welcomed as a friend rather than a customer. The Bottom Bay beach is a short walk away. The views have been breathtaking, the breeze...unbelieveable. I would definitley recommend Barabados to anyone, especially staying here. You are away from the hustle and bustle of the city. However it is just a short bus or taxi ride away. I was looking for a place to get away and relax, and this has surpassed all of my expectations.

A life long memory
We stayed at Sea Breeze for 1 month in January/February this year and had a superb stay. Diana is a fantastic host and was very helpful in all matters from the little details about the studio to all the places to visit on the island. We had a couple of nights out with her and met some very friendly people. Duke, her dog, is such a big softy and totally gorgeous. He looked after us! We miss him loads. The studio is well equipped and very comfortable. The bedroom is quite large with a big bed. There is aircon in the apartment but with a prevailing easterly wind we never used it as we had windows open that were covered with mosquito nets. The bathroom has a roomy shower and has everything you need. Towels and bedding were changed weekly and Diana provided beach towels too. The kitchen had more than enough utensils etc. There is a pleasant outside decking with chairs and an eating area. The pool is a good size and well serviced and it was very relaxing to be by it. Diana also provided a more than adequate welcome pack (bread butter milk and other essential nice to haves). The studio is very close to Bottom Bay which is only 3 minutes walk away. Sometimes we were the only people on the beach and it is a beautiful location. On Friday and Saturday nights there is a take away with scrumptious pork ribs. The nearest big supermarket is 9 minutes drive away at Six Roads. A car is essential. Bridgetown is about 30 minutes away, St Lawrence about 20 minutes and Carlisle Bay about 30 minutes also. We had a fabulous holiday in Barbados, made all the better with Diana’s hospitality and Dukes watchful eye. We strongly recommend Sea Breeze to everyone.

Diana's Villa is beautiful - lovely location right by Bottom Bay Beach - one of the best beaches.
I had an amazing time at Diana's Villa - the apartment is very clean and has all the amenities that is required to have a fantastic stay. The bedroom is lovely as windows on both sides so you get the wind blowing through, I didn't use the Air Conditioning for the whole time I was there. The kitchenette is well equipped and I cooked virtual every evening. The swimming pool was brilliant and where I spent most of my time as I went for a relaxing time. However if you wish to explore the Island there is a bus stop at the top of the road, which will get you to the main parts of the Island, they are regular and a great way to explore. Or you can hire a Car. I felt completely at home on my stay and an added bonus was Duke the dog, he was an amazing companion, looked after me and made sure I was safe. I went on walks with Diana and Duke everyday and evening and the area has stunning views. I booked the apartment for a chilled 19 days and I can't fault Diana on her hospitality. Everyone has a different type of holiday in mind so that others know Diana is well informed about the Island and is there for you if you require any information. I have been to the Island a few times so used the apartment as a base to visit other friends. I would not hesitate in recommending SEA BREEZE. So thank you Diana & Duke for the most relaxing time and I looked forward to visiting you again very soon.

Holiday in paradise
Diana is such a nice host! Very friendly and obliging. She gave us holiday tips and helped us with the taxi. It was wonderful also that the fridge was already filled with a "welcome package" so that we had not to worry about the first breakfast. The contact was very nice from the first mail. Diana gave us an invitation for brunch. Very nice. :-) The holiday apartment is perfect for a vacation in paradise. The rooms were clean and big enough for a vacation for two. We use the own terrace with the personal barbecue-grill with pleasure. The situation of the house is great. Bottom Bay - Beach in walking (!) distance. Everything on foot accessible. The bus stop also is nearby. Many thanks for the wonderful time on Barbados. We will certainly come again!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best regards to Diana and Duke! Birgit and Heiko

Honeymoon celebration
Very comfortable. Gracious host, very helpful with info/details on places to visit. A very helpful welcome package, since we arrived in the PM. I might suggest putting a piece of gutter over the entrance into the rental area, getting a umbrella for outside eating and putting in stepping stones to get from the deck to the table. Some other more comfortable chairs would be a nice addition for sitting on the deck.

We loved our stay at Sea Breeze apartment!
We were staying here for 2 weeks and every day were just wonderful. Diane is really good and kind person who supplied us with basic foods on arrival so no mad rush to do shopping. She was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful before and during our stay . We felt completely at home. Duke - German Shepherd made an excellent companion for our stay, he look after us and made sure that we were safe - Diane let us walk him on a Bottom Bay beach what you can describe as a spectacular experience. This is a really lovely villa in a very secure, private and well looked part of Barbados. The location is great, Super King size bed was very comfortable- There is swimming pool , and you're next to the Bottom Bay beach - (as one list indicated it #9 on top 100 beaches in world) . The bus stop and local shops is a short walk away. The apartment itself has air con throughout, safe etc. very spacious and I'm sure when we go back to Barbados we'll use it again. Highly recommend!!

First Class A1+
This was my first holiday since becoming a widower, and I must say my choice was first class I could not have asked for a better place, it was exactly what I was looking for. The establishment was very clean and spotless and in good condition, the shower was a delight, very powerful. The facilities internally had ever thing that you required, I wanted for nothing. As for outside there is a very pleasant seating area, and a large pool: GREAT. Diana, the resident "landlady" owner, is a most helpful, pleasant, and always on hand,if required, should you need any local information or help. In addition to Diana there is Duke, a most friendly of dogs, he is a pleasure to be with, and was my consent companion, when I was at home, plus you are in for a treat with Horace, the Tortoise, he is the protector of the property. Overall it was a most enjoyable holiday, to the extent that before leaving I have booked a four week holiday next year. I would have no hesitation in recommending SEA BREEZE as the ideal holiday base in Barbados.

Fantastic Holiday!
My husband and I had the most incredible stay here. Not only was Di a fantastic and warm welcoming hostess but with her wealth of knowledge she was confident in recommending the best restaurants, bars, and activities. Before arriving in Barbados, Di asked if there was anything we needed such as bread, milk etc..we therefore didn't need to rush around the day we arrived after feeling jet lagged we had the main essentials ready for us. Sea Breeze is an absolutely stunning villa with a beautiful pool and all the needed facilities. We were very happy here and loved getting to know Horace the tortoise and Duke Di's gorgeous dog. We couldn't have enjoyed our holiday and the choice of location here more and we would no doubt recommend this beautiful villa to anyone wishing to visit the island! Thanks for an amazing stay Di! Kind regards Dave & Mandy

Peaceful comfort , minutes away from paradise !!
My wife and I , both retired and in our seventies, spent 3 weeks at this delightful villa/apartment , located in a relatively new development in Bottom Bay. We did not rent a car , not being comfortable with driving on the left , particularly on Barbados roads which can be quite narrow, twisty and bumpy with plenty of potholes ! The villa is within a short walk of Bottom Bay as well as two other equally beautiful , secluded bays . The local beaches, while a photographers delight, are way too dangerous for swimming , so we frequently took the 40 minute bus ride to beautiful Miami Beach at Oistins , which is quite safe for swimming and has plenty of shade. The bus drivers are helpful and courteous , but tend to drive quite fast, so you have to hang on tight ! All the Bajans we encountered on our bus rides were very courteous and friendly. The local bus stop is a 10/15 minute walk up a slight hill, so if this would be a problem a rental car would be advised. Our delightful host , Diana, met us in at the airport , and on the way to her villa kindly took us to the large and very well stocked supermarket at 'Six Roads" where we bought our groceries . Diana was very responsive to any requests we had during our stay , prepared a delicious meal for us , took us to see some spectacular local scenery, and drove us back to the airport for our return flight to Canada . 'Duke' , Diana's akita/shepherd canine companion and our wonderful guard dog during our stay, is very friendly, and spent a good deal of time in our area when Diana was out. The villa's swimming pool , while fairly small, was crystal clear, sparkling clean and ideal for a nice dip to cool off , or just to lounge around with a good book. The apartment comprises a bedroom , living room/kitchenette, and bathroom , adjoining the main area of the villa. The bedroom , with a very comfortable king size bed, always had a nice through breeze, and it was nice to be lulled off to sleep listening to the ocean waves rolling onto the shore or crashing into the rocks below the coral cliffs. The apartment has a nice large and airy shower in the bathroom , off the hallway between the bedroom and the sitting room/kitchenette , which opens onto a private deck and small garden area. In summary, this rental unit , located in a very spectacular setting, would be suitable for an individual or a couple who would prefer to be located away from the busy tourist areas, and in our opinion represented very good value.

Maritime feel, friendly host, good location.
My first trip to Barbados and the Caribbean. I stayed at Sea Breeze with Di, who has a mutual friend. The apartment is ideal for couples or singles, with a nice patio and access to a pool, with a friendly host with a gentle dog. The decor has a nice 'maritime' feel, one bedroom, a bathroom, lounge/diner and patio and garden. It is very peaceful. The location is on a modern development, I was surprised to find an ice cream van visited. It is a short drive to the Crane Bay resort and a great restaurant Marco Polo nearby. Nearby is Bottom Bay, a striking and quiet beach, a short walk away. You will need footwear to paddle as the coral is sharp. The parish of St Philip is a quiet corner of the island, and it is a short drive to Six Ways, where there are plenty of shops. It was a great base to explore the island, particularly the rugged Atlantic (West) coast, with Consett, a fishing village, Bathsheba and Little Scotland. You will need a hire car to get the most out of Barbados, and the local roads are mainly good, but sometimes change from tarmac to chalk and back at random, and watch for the odd sheep crossing the road. It was wonderful to drive out amongst sugar cane fields, past crops and tractors followed by egrets not seagulls, and into countless pretty little villages, even the odd Nodding Donkey oil wells help make Barbados a compact box of surprises. One odd thing, a lot of villages seem to skip name signs, so get a good map. I certainly am looking forward to returning to Barbados, and I shall be back. I would highly recommend Sea Breeze and Barbados.

What a great stay!
Diana was a great host, we even found a "starter package" in our fridge when we arrived in the evening. The apartment was very nice, big enough and very detached to the tourist areas. This except for the Bottom Bay which is an extremely wild and romantic beach in walking (!) distance. Please be aware however that swimming in that bay in not recommended EVERY day as sometimes the sea is rather rough. A few day without a rental car but using the local buses is very cheap and extremely entertaining (if you are brave enough). We even went to Bridgetown and Oistins with bus. Thanks a lot for everything Diana, and our best regards to Duke (the lovely dog)!

Having travelled extensively throughout the Caribbean, Barbados became a favourite destination hence the purchase of the Villa. Walking everyday on the cliffs with my wonderful companion Duke I thank my lucky stars for being so fortunate to live here. Duke is a 10 year old Akita / German Shepherd cross so anyone wishing to stay at Sea Breeze must like dogs. He adores the guests and their children and it is reciprocal. Although the apartment has a private deck and garden. I also have a tortoise Chequers .

Why they chose this property

Sea Breeze is one of the largest properties on the development as the original plans were extended, to include larger rooms and a bigger swimming pool.

Why pay double for a villa when you can get nearly two weeks for the price of one. Sea Breeze is the only one of its kind on the Atlantic Rising and perfect for a single or two persons.

What makes this property unique

Bottom Bay Beach - is a wide stretch of white sand that is lined with coconut palms and shallow reefs at the shoreline. What can I say. I thank my lucky stars everyday that I walk along the scenic cliff tops with my Duke and look at the breathe taking views of the Ocean and sandy white tropical beaches.Heaven on earth.
It is a picture perfect castaway beach, and is located about 150 meters away. Totally unspoilt and often you will have the beach to yourself, unless someone is getting married!!. Walk down steps to access the picturesque, azure ocean. There is usually a local guy who will rent you a sun bed.
As there are not too many facilities, this beach is perfect for setting up a picnic with the family under the 100 foot coconut trees.( mind your head!) A local guy will usually climb one of the smaller trees and pick and open a coconut for you. Drink the coconut water straight from the fruit and be sure to try the jelly inside.

There are other amazing beautiful beaches close by Harris Smiths, Long Bay and Palmetto.
