FAMILY FRIENDLY, SHORT WALK TO THE BEACH, CAPE COD CANAL, RESTAURANTS, & MORE.

Come experience all that The Cape has to offer without dealing with the miles of traffic crossing the bridges! This beautiful 1901 Colonial is updated with all the amenities and freshly painted with tranquil seaside colors. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms (one on each floor) and bonus room with daybed/trundle (on the first floor). Sleeps up to 10. Home has central air conditioning, gas fireplace in the living room, a large kitchen with stainless steel appliances and all the conveniences of home. Sleeping accommodations include bed linens, bath towels, and pool/beach towels. living room with large flat screen TV with cable, DVD player, DVDs, Netflix, Prime Videos, Wi-fi, & games. Master bedroom has a flat screen TV with cable, Netflix, Prime Videos. Yard has beautiful gardens, hot tub, above ground pool (in season), and fire pit area. Deck has dining table and barbeque grill. Croquet, Ladder ball, Corn Hole, and Mega Chess are available to enjoy.
Just a short walk to Electric Beach, a handicapped accessible beach with public boat launch, swings, and jumping off dock for the kids. Enjoy beautiful sunsets and seasonal fireworks either from the beach or from the water, on kayaks or stand-up paddle board which are available for your use. Walk to the Buzzards Bay Park beside the Cape Cod Canal, complete with playground and splash pad, picnic area, and enjoy Concerts by the Canal on Thursday evenings. You can fish from the banks of the canal, walk, roller blade, or ride your bike on the 7-mile bike path and experience the Cape Cod Canal Railroad Bridge, with vertical lift. Also in close proximity are various bars, restaurants, and ice cream shops, bowling/arcade, antique shops, and the National Marine Life Center. Just 2 miles to the Bourne Bridge and 5 miles to the Sagamore Bridge, you can explore the Cape on your own time without dealing with the high traffic times on the weekends. 5 Minute drive to Onset Beach, 7-mile drive to Scusset Beach and approx. 2 miles to miniature golf, go carts, and Water Wizz water park. Also nearby, experience the Cape Cod Railroad tours and dinner train, whale watches, The Cape Cod Baseball League (free), golf courses, fishing charters, canal & sunset cruises... the possibilities are endless. MDW at Dragonfly Beach House

We had an amazing stay. Lots to do for all ages in Buzzards Bay and nearby towns. However, Denise’s Dragonfly is a resort in itself and the neighbors are the sweetest. Denise is delightful and attentive. You will not be disappointed staying at this hidden gem.

Great experience

Our stay at Denise's was very enjoyable. There were many amenities at the house, including convenient items like high chair for our little one. The beds were extremely comfortable. The house was clean and spacious and having two full bathrooms was key for our group. The pool was a huge plus. The area was nice for walking and we loved strolling to electric beach or driving the short distance to Onset beach, both of which are ideal for small kids and not overly crowded. Denise was responsive and helpful. Overall a good experience and would recommend it.

Perfect family vacation

We came down for a nice and relaxing vacation for a week and had the best time. The kid's ages 17, 15, 15, 11, 11 and 10 had a blast playing chess in the yard, swimming and the hot tub. The 3 younger kid's spent a lot of time on the swingset while the adults would enjoy the back patio relaxing and vooking on the grill. We also played a lot of cards and ate all our meals at the big dinning room table that fit all 10 of us. Everyday we would go for a ride to beaches and shopping, even did whale watching which was amazing. Denise the host was amazing and she checked in with us upon arrival and made sure everything was great during our stay also. She provided an ornament for our tree with a picture of the house on it and we are excited to hang it this year on our tree. We would definitely stay here again :) thank you Denise for letting us enjoy your amazing house.

Family Relaxation

Family Friendly Vacation Home

The Dragonfly House was a great option for our stay in the Cape Cod area. It was clean, spacious, and within a reasonable drive to many attractions, which was great since we experienced cooler temperatures and had to rearrange our plans a bit. Although we didn’t get to use the pool, we were able to use the hot tub, kayaks, and bikes which were all added bonuses for our stay there. Denise was great to work with through the entire process! We would definitely recommend this house for anyone looking to stay in the Cape Cod area.

Perfect family house!

This was our second stay at the Dragonfly House! Our family of 6 adults, 2 children, and 2 dogs stayed for the weekend and enjoyed the Polar Express, which was a 2 minute drive. The house is always so so clean and homey! The kitchen/dining area is great for a large family and living room has plenty of room for everyone to enjoy.

Thanksgiving retreat

Our family of 8 really enjoyed our stay at the Dragonfly beach house. The house was cozy for our large group and we enjoyed all the amenities of the outdoor games, hot tub, fire pit, short walks to town and to the water. It was well equipped for the large group, with plenty of dishware, flatware, towels, toilet paper, etc. Five of us worked remote and the WiFi handled it fine—which was particularly important. We loved playing cards and games at the oversized dining table. Thanks, Denise, for a great stay and for your special touches for us! We will be back!

Great Stay!

Beautiful home and amazing experience! Denise made sure everything was in order for our stay. Great House for a Galcation!

We had a wonderful, relaxing time at this house. Denise is a welcoming and supportive hostess who goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable (the robes in each bedroom are great for a journey to the hottub on a cool Fall day!) It was so nice to relax with a fire in the firepit! The house is beautifully appointed, the beds comfortable, and the location perfect, with local restaurants as well as easy access to historic Plymouth, the Cape, and Boston.

Gorgeous home and wonderful location

Great location just at the start of the cape. Came here for a week at the dragonfly house with friends and small kids. The property was perfect for the group and kids. Location was nice to be able to hang by the bay or drive out to other areas of the cape. Easy walk to nearby town. We had minor issues with the fire alarm but Denise addressed it quickly and we didn’t worry about it for the rest of the week. House was stocked and all you need to bring is food (and containers if you plan to cook or have leftovers). Mattresses were all very comfortable. Plenty to do and see! Denise left a very handy welcome book at the house.

Our stay at Buzzards Bay

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Denise’s. The house had everything we needed on days we wanted to stay close to home. The pool and hot tub were very clean. The house was supplied with plenty of dishes, cups, etc. for 10 people to stay. We played cornhole everyday and the kids loved being able to go on the swings. We loved to take the five minute walk to Electric Beach to swing and watch the beautiful sunsets. Great location just a short drive to the places we love in the Cape. There were a few issues during our stay and Denise was quick to respond and take care of them. I would say this is the perfect house and neighborhood for a family trip!

Perfect for Families

One of the best rental properties I have stayed at. Denise was so helpful and thorough leading up to the trip and throughout the stay. Plenty of household items that made life easy and special touches like s’mores and sand toys for the kids. The pool, hot tub and playground were all a hot!

Family friendly location!

We had such a lovely vacation at the Dragonfly Beach house! A few little problems at the beginning of our stay, but Denise was very attentive and addressed them quickly which we appreciated. The pool was a hit while the kids were napping. Lots of plates and cups in the cabinets. The house had very nice appliances. The outside grill was great too. The swing-set at the house didn’t work out for us, but the nearby splash-pad was awesome for the kids and there were a lot of great playgrounds close driving distance to the house too. The corn-hole set was great and we enjoyed playing after the kids went to bed. Fire pit was fun at night. We really appreciated Denise’s sweet gesture of s’mores ingredients upon arrival at the house as well as champagne for those of us celebrating anniversaries on the trip. The beach near the house (Electric beach) was small and quiet. It made for a nice short walk and the kids loved swinging on the swings overlooking the water. Also near the house, was a great ice cream spot called Mic’s. We found ourselves walking there almost every day and strolling along the canal overlooking the train bridge (very cool!) eating our ice cream. We drove to a few other nearby beaches all of which we would recommend: Onset, Scusset, and Old Silver Beach. We also took a day trip to Falmouth to do a little souvenir shopping—very cute town. We also visited the Treehouse Brewery in Sandwich which was a cool spot (need to make reservations in advance). The location of the house was great —lots to do. It gave us the chance to venture around without having to drive more than 25 minutes. The neighborhood is very family friendly too. Overall, we had a wonderful time on our vacation! We look forward to coming back to Cape Cod! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Perfect rental

I decided to go to cape cod for something different. We usually go to rhode island/block island. I found this perfect house with everything you would need. Spacious, clean, hot tub, pool & dog friendly. We didn’t bring our dog because sometimes rentals say they’re dog friendly but they’re not…this definitely was…I highly recommend this rental:..owner was excellent about communicating as well.

I currently live in Buzzards Bay, just a 1/2 mile from this property and work in the area as a registered nurse. I am very excited to offer guests a beautiful home & property in which to enjoy their Cape Cod vacation, to visit family & friends, or whatever else brings you to this unique part of the country.

Why they chose this property

My husband and I came to Cape Cod for our honeymoon in 1985 and often visited a friend who lives on the water in Cotuit. I have such fond memories of those days! Swimming, sailing, laying out in the sun, searching for seashells, barbeques, fireworks and bon fires… I have always been drawn to the beach but growing up it was pretty far. In 1987 my husband took a job on the Cape and the rest was history. I fell in LOVE with this quaint area with its beautiful beaches, amazing sunsets, and casual feel. This has been a great place to raise a family, and also a fantastic spot to vacation. There is so much to do!

What makes this property unique

I love the charm of this 1901 colonial home. It was completely renovated in 2010 with all the modern amenities but still holds the old character that makes it unique. I enjoy the fact that you can see the Cape Cod Railroad Bridge from the back yard and hear the train as it pulls in and out of Buzzards Bay station. It’s tucked away in a quaint quiet neighborhood, yet so close to the beach, restaurants, shops, the canal, and many area attractions.
