Lovely stay and perfect location
The location was really wonderful, the house is designed so you can enjoy the view of Loch Mask from every room. Every detail is carefully considered and the kitchen is fully equipped and the sitting area and terrace are incredibly cosy. It's a perfect location for exploring Connemara, Mayo and Galway, half an hour from Westport and around 20m from Cong with lots of walking trails around, including Tourmakeady Waterfall that's very close by. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

This cabin is absolutely lovely. The view of the mountains and the lake from every room is stunning. If you are looking for a place to relax and be off the grid, this really is the place to be. We also enjoyed meeting the neighbors. 🙂

Perfekter Hideaway zum Lesen und Angeln
Das Haus ist wie beschrieben. Alles funktioniert und der vorhandene Bücher- und CD-Bestand ist umfangreich. Es liegt traumhaft oberhalb des Sees mit verschiedenen Sitzgelegenheiten drinnen/draussen/im Wintergarten, um bei jedem Wetter den Blick zu genießen. Angeln geht gut vom Boot aus, welches sich unkompliziert vor Ort mieten lässt. Eigener Uferzugang zum Anlegen vorhanden. Es sind allerdings aufgrund der Hanglage und der Bauweise des Hauses immer Treppenstufen zu steigen.

Maison magnifique et atypique avec énormément de charme 🤗 Maison très bien équipée avec tout l'électroménager nécessaire Une vue a couper le souffle et environnement paisible Attention il n'y a aucun réseau wifi ( compliqué avec des ados 😜) Pas d'accès directe avec la voiture à la maison le parking est au pied de la maison avec un escalier et la maison contient beaucoup de marches ( attention pour les personnes à mobilité réduite et les enfants) Pour nous tout était parfait on a bien profité de cette tranquillité avec la vue sur la montagne et le lac Merci à notre hôte 🙏

Superbe
Cottage magnifique et très bien équipé dans un environnement paradisiaque. Une vue exceptionnelle, environnement silencieux, on entend que les moutons. Au coeur du Connemara, respirez et profitez. A 40 mn de Wesport et 1 heure de Clifden et de la Sky Road en traversant le cœur du Connemara. En résumé, la maison et le site sont une vraie pépite.

Idyllic property in an idyllic location!
A beautifully furnished, well equipped holiday home in an outstanding location. Prepare to be off grid, forget your cares and just relax. The only slight issue was due to the previous occupants leaving the key in totally the wrong place (not the pick up/drop off point)! Luckily for us the owners friend was staying next door and had a key, otherwise not sure what we'd have done. Highly recommended!

What a stunning view!
My Wife, Son and I had an enjoyable 3nights in lodge K, and spent our time sightseeing in Westport and at Kylemore Abbey. It was a real home from home and the owner couldn’t have been more prompt with his responses. In the interest of clarity there are 2 lodges, but it didn’t bother us that we had neighbours and there was enough outside space for us all to enjoy ourselves. The house has everything. The split level layout is probably better suited to older children/adults (we had to keep a really close eye on our 1 year old) but the owner provided a travel cot so we were able to stick him in there For short periods, when we were busy doing things. I’m a photographer and I have no difficulty in admitting that no photograph could capture the beauty of the view from the property.

Beeindruckendes Haus mit toller Sicht auf Seearm und Berge
Wir haben die Zeit im Haus sehr genossen. Vom Wintergarten, Wohnzimmer, Essbereich, Schlafzimmer ... überall gibt es eine wunderbare Ausssicht. Unserer Kochlust konnten wir in der sehr gut ausgestatteten Küche nachgehen.

Schöne Doppelhaushälfte mit tillem Seeblick
Das Ferienhaus hat eine schöne und großzügige Aufteilung. Das Haus hat 2 Schlafzimmer, 2 Bäder einen Flur, einen Hauswirtschaftsraum, eine große Küche und einen Wohnbereich mit anliegendem großen Wintergarten mit Blick auf den großen Lough Mask. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt, obwohl das Ferienhaus ein paar Pflegeeinheiten gebrauchen könnte (unsere subjektive Meinung).

Es war toll, es hat wirklich an nichts gefehlt und das Häuschen ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und liegt zwar etwas ab vom Schuss, aber mit traumhaftem Bllick auf den See! Und die Ruhe.... wir als Städter fanden diese besonders beeindruckend!! Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und wundervolle Tage dort verlebt- vielen Dank!!!

Great place to experience rural Ireland
Overall the cottage was very nice. It was in a great location on a lake/lough, amongst fields of sheep, in a charming area. It was very romantic and idyllic in both sunny and stormy weather. A couple suggestions - - In the main bedroom at least should have more blankets to cover both double beds when pushed together for a couple. It was very cold when we were there - April - and it was difficult - should have an instruction book to explain how things - appliances, heating, etc - work or could be turned on in the cottage. We were able to figure things out through trail & error but it was somewhat tedious and aggravating - should have wood that fits in the fireplace or some means of cutting the the wood to fit. That would have made it warmer sooner as well as much more romantic - should have a sound system or stereo that works.....the only CD player that worked had a CD stuck in it and, while we love The Beatles, there's only so many times you can listen to the same CD. And since internet, phone, and other connectivity was nonexistent or sketchy at best, music would have been nice We would definitely stay here again despite some of the challenges we encountered

Quirky and quiet.
The style of the cottage along with the decor, mixed with the prominent German theme of art, books and German language guidebooks gave this place a quirky feel. However, we fell in love with it instantly. The greenhouse type porches on the front gave us 180 degrees views of the Lough in front of the house along with the hills that rose above it. We wish we had more time to explore the places around Tourmakeady and because it was Joyce Country made the stay all the more special. Thanks Wolf for the wonderful place you have and we hope to take the opportunity in the near future to come stay at your place again. One side note, might want to check periodically with the house keeper to make sure he has enough keys. I believe they obtained the keys that the cleaning lady use for us to access the house. No worries, we took the opportunity to grab a burger at the little roadside Chippy stand operated by a lady who lives behind it, stopped by the lough and ate while waiting for the keys. Besides that it was a wonderful visit. Thanks Joel, Cathy and Lizzie
