About this property

B&B in traditional Dutch farmhouse

In our beautifully situated farmhouse we have realized two guestrooms wíth own bathroom. Sleeping well is a must, so we did not save on the bed; a great mattress, comfortable duvet of our own alpacas and sufficient length for tall guests (220x240 cm).

If you want to stay with three persons in the room, we have an extra (folding) bed available.

There is a little beach, on the IJsselmeer, in about a 5 minute walk. The beach is not only popular by sunbathers, but because of the shallow water also very popular by (kite)surfers. If you want to see more of the surroundings, than the bicycle is the means of transport to take. Many beautiful villages and the city of Hoorn are only steps away from Schellinkhout. There is so much to do and to experience that even if the weather is not that beautiful for a day you do not have to be bored. In the vicinity of Hoorn, no lack of restaurants.

We had a great stay in Schellinkhout
Our 6 night stay was really good. Bianca, our host, spoke excellent English and was happy for us to enjoy interacting with the alpacas on the farm. Our room was large and comfortable. We thought the room would benefit from a wardrobe or free standing hanging space, especially for guests spendind a few nights there. I'm sure a TV would also be appreciated by most guests, once again, by those staying more than a night, and when the weather is poor. Perhaps it would be possible to incorporate the small refrigerator within the kitchen area in the room. Breakfast was good, with home made produce and duck eggs from the farm. We would have liked some cold meats to accompany the cheeses. We didnt have a car, so the regular bus service through the village was good. We enjoyed the snack bar at the village hall and watching the Euro 24 football games. Everyone we spoke to was so friendly. We love Holland, and the weather could not have been better. It would be great to return but we are both in our late 70's so it may not be possible...but never say never.

Prima B&B!
We zijn erg tevreden over deze B&B! Met de fietsen mee, hebben we enkele steden in de omgeving bezocht: Medemblik, Enkhuizen, Hoorn en Alkmaar. De kamer ziet er mooi uit en heeft een uitstekend bed met een dekbed van van een eigen alpaca. Het ontbijt is sober maar goed: heerlijke broodjes, eigengemaakte jam en yoghurt en als verrassing een eitje van de eigen loopeenden! Leuk ook om bij de alpaca's te kijken. En in het winkeltje zijn prachtige, deels eigengemaakt alpaca-producten te koop. En last-but-not-least: we zijn gastvrij ontvangen door de spontane en hardwerkende gastvrouw. .

A notre arrivée , BIANCA était très accueillante , chaleureuse et a été aux petits soins pendant tout notre séjour . Une Belle chambre spacieuse avec surtout une très bonne literie , une salle de bains bien équipée et un petit déjeuner copieux . Une place de parking dans la propriété a été bien appréciable aussi et une propriété bien au calme pour des nuits reposantes . Et surtout , nous avons eu le plaisir de voir ses Alpagas . Pour nous , tout était conforme à la description de l'annonce . Donc très bon séjour et un grand merci encore à BIANCA ...

Cozy apartment in a cute alpaca farm
Very nice, warm hostess with a magical breakfast including homemade jam and yoghurt. We slept like a dream in the in-house alpaca wool.

Lovely host on a true working alpaca farm!
There were so many wonderful things about our trip, starting with Bianca, our amazing host! We were greeted by two cute alpacas, then Bianca popped out to help us park and then toured the farm with us. Her English was phenomenal (I’m American, my partner is Dutch), and it seems she also speaks German. The space was lovely and quaint with everything you need for a quick stay. Even the signs for WiFi were in English and Dutch! And then Bianca brought us a farmhouse breakfast and it was insanely good!! We were so very happy we found this cute little space - just perfectly close but not too close to Amsterdam. Thank you so much, Bianca!! We will definitely be back and loved every minute of our time with you. ❤️

Sehr gemütliches und sauberes Zimmer. Wir haben uns für die 2 Tage sehr wohl gefühlt. Bianca ist eine sehr nette Gastgeberin die sich viel Zeit genommen hat um uns alles über Ihren Hof und die dort lebenden Alpakas zu erklären. Das Frühstück war aus Hofeigenen Erzeugnissen. Wir haben nix zu beanstanden und kommen gerne wieder. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit

Das Zimmer ist super schön, gemütlich, bietet zu zweit genug Platz und hat alles was man braucht. Es gibt sogar einen kleinen Kühlschrank außerhalb des Zimmers. Das Bett ist extrem gemütlich und hochwertig und garantiert einen erholsamen Schlaf. Auch das Bad ist sauber und komfortabel. Bianca war sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfreich, wenn wir einen Tip brauchten. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und wir konnten die Uhrzeit immer flexibel absprechen und bei schönem Wetter auch draußen essen. Wir konnten in der Umgebung viel mit dem Rad erkunden und besonders schön war der Strandabschnitt in direkter Nähe. Vielen Dank für einen perfekten und wunderschönen Aufenthalt auf eurem Hof!

Schöner Kurzurlaub
Wir waren für 5 Tage zu Gast und hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit. Die Zimmer sind schon eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Die Betten sind sehr bequem. Die Inhaber waren sehr nett und die Kommunikation einfach. Man kann von hier aus super Radtouren und andere Ausflüge unternehmen. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig aber dennoch nah genug an der nächsten Stadt. Wer eine einfache Unterkunft in der Natur sucht, der ist hier genau richtig.

Wir haben knapp eine Woche in der Unterkunft verbracht und es war einfach super schön.
Der Hof war sehr schön und Bianca wirklich sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Sie ging steht's auf unsere Wünsche ein. Wir haben die Zeit genossen und viel erlebt.

Super Urlaub mit B&B
Wir haben zu zweit einen sehr schönen Urlaub in Noord Holland verbracht. Die Unterkunft mit dem Frühstück war tip top. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig. Von Schellinkhout lassen sich u.a. sehr viele Radrouten unternehmen. Die Vermieterin mit ihren Alpakas ist sehr freundlich und sympathisch.

Wundervoller Kurzurlaub
Wir haben uns wie Zuhause gefühlt. Das Frühstück war super lecker und alle waren super freundlich (einschließlich der Tiere). Das Meer liegt direkt vor der Nase und in die nächste Stadt ist es mit dem Fahrrad auch nicht weit. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Rundherum schön !!
Wir waren für 4 Nächte dort und restlos begeistert. Bianca ist superfreundlich und offen, der Hof sowie die Umgebung sind wunderschön und die Alpakas einfach nur niedlich.. Haben das 1.Mal Enteneier zum täglich leckeren Frühstück gegessen und kommen sehr gerne wieder !!

Es war für meine Tochter, meinen Mann und mich ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Sehr nette Besitzer, sehr schönes Zimmer (mit Liebe zum Detail), schönes Badezimmer, liebevoll zubereitetes Frühstück. Wenige Gehminuten zur Küste.

Ende Juli 2020 waren wir 4 Tage auf der Alpaka Farm. Jeden Morgen gab es individuelles, selbst gemachtes Frühstück, welches sehr köstlich war. Die Zimmeraufteilung ist für 2 Personen völlig ausreichend (großer Raum inkl. Küche eindeutige Schlafzimmer und Badezimmer). Es ist auf jeden Fall sinnvoll, sich Fahrräder im Voraus zu mieten, da der Fahrradverleih 6km entfernt ist. Mit dem Fahrrad kann man gut den Strand und die nächste Stadt Hoorn unter 20 min erreichen. Leider gibt es keine Herdplatte in der Küche. Bianca ist sehr freundlich und liebenswert. Sie sorgt sich jeden Tag um die Tiere, die man jeden Tag beobachten/streicheln kann. PS:es führt eine steile Treppe zu den Zimmern, weshalb man nicht zu große und schwere Koffer mitnehmen sollte. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!!!
