Our family stayed here as a short getaway and we had a lovely time. Beds were comfortable and all amenities were exactly as described. The kitchen was fantastic and we loved having the dishwasher. Wi-Fi worked very well, too. We would have appreciated having coffee filters included, but it was a very small thing. Thanks for everything!
Lots of room to spread out. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. If you plan to grill check the propane before you pop a beverage that got us.
We stayed at the cabin to celebrate our family Christmas together. The Christmas tree in the living room by the stone fireplace was a nice added touch. There was plenty of space for everyone to mingle, and we appreciated this property being pet friendly. The space heaters in the basement level were appreciated during the colder season that we visited during. The game table, darts, ping pong table, and hot tub were fun to have, and we also enjoyed watching deer in the ravine in the back yard. The property disclosed the steep driveway in the description before booking, which could be challenging during snowfall, however we had mild weather without snow during our stay so not an issue. The cabin was clean upon our arrival. Short drive to many hiking areas part of Hocking Hills, and nearby stores and restaurants. We did not have problems with cell phone signal strength during our stay. Would stay again!
Our family needed to get away from the routine if Thanksgiving due to resent deaths in the family. So we choose Hocking hills to disconnect and relax, hike, & enjoy something different. All boxes were checked, we will return!
We had a great time. The property was as listed and the host was very responsive to any questions.

Pet Friendly Cabin
If you are looking for privacy and seclusion this is the rental for you. The property, however, has no green space for your pets. The cabin sets on a deep ravine with a steep gravel driveway. It comfortably housed the six of us with bed and lounging areas. Overall, the experience was real received.
Our family stayed in Cabin 4 (Chickadee) with our kids and two dogs, and had fun reconnecting and playing board games again like we did when the kids were small. We used the Waze app directions, which left us 1/4 mile short of the cabin, but we kept driving until we found it. It's an amazing site in a secluded area with a lot of space. The open loft has 2 queen beds (great for kids); the main floor has a private bedroom (bathroom in common area), and the finished basement has a private bedroom w/ bath, with another queen bed in the game room/laundry area (good for kids). We enjoyed family ping-pong and the Atari-style arcade table. We only used the hot tub once but it was a relaxing experience. The main floor TV room has a Blu-ray player and wifi; we watched Netflix mostly. Not too far away is a Kroger, Walmart & Antique mall for when you need to get away or restock. We did not use the gas grill but made good use of the charcoal grill, gas fireplace and the fire pit. The light switches were hard to find or figure out at first, but that's nitpicking. Kitchen was stocked with utensils, even a pizza cutter (we brought frozen pizzas in case it rained, and it did). Overall, we would highly recommend Cabin 4 for families or large groups. The owner was very helpful and responsive through the Vrbo app.
Nice clean cabin, took sometime to figure out lights. Nice game room and tv. Need written instructions on when to use the 3 remotes to tv.
Well stocked kitchen, with everything you need.
The Cabin was perfect for our annual Girls weekend. Beds are very comfortable.
The Bathrooms have lots of towels.
We spent a lot of time in the screened in porch & was great that it opened up into the living area. The hot tub is nice and big & worked great. We took several group walks on the sleepy country roads. We would definitely rent this cabin again, if we choose to stay in the area next year.
The cabin was perfect for us and our adult children. We each had our own space yet room enough to gather together when we wanted. Would highly recommend it!
Nice sized cabin in private setting. Kids loved the ping pong table and atari games. We appreciated that we were able to bring our dogs and that there were trails right behind the cabin, and an easy drive to Old Man’s Cave. Note no wifi but cell service at the cabin was fine.
This cabin is very spacious and clean. The hot tub is awesome. The location is very private and remote. The owner is great and promptly responded to all my questions. We loved it and would definitely stay there again.
This cabin was absolutely perfect for 7 of us. The listing pictures don’t do it justice. It’s spacious, in an awesome, scenic location, and super cozy.
Perfect cabin for our weekend getaway. Clean and plenty of space. Had everything needed for kitchen and hot tub was great. Communication was easy and owners were flexible. Will be coming back.
