18 Haul Away ~ Beautiful Six Bedroom Near Ocean Palmetto Dunes Home with Pool

18 Haul Away is a gorgeous home in Palmetto Dunes that has views of the lagoon from the back of the home and the golf course from the front of the home. With six bedrooms, six and half bathrooms and 4,150 square feet - it can comfortably host your group of up to seventeen guests. This home is located one half of a mile away from the beach access.

The private pool can be heated seasonally for an additional fee - Labor Day through Memorial Day. The pool will not heat if the temperatures fall below 55 degrees, please call Coastal Home and Villa in advance of your stay if you are interested in pool heat.

1st Floor:

As you enter the home, you will really enjoy the open concept feel. There is a sitting room as you first enter the home. The second living room, off the kitchen, has a large flat screen TV. The kitchen has a large island, double oven & dishwasher, gas range, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Steps away is the screened in porch. It is stocked with plenty of seating, gas grill, mini fridge, sink and full sized bathroom.

The master bedroom has a king bed, flat screen TV, small sitting area and access to the pool deck. The large, private master bathroom offers a walk-in shower, soaking tub and double vanity. There is also a walk-in closet with a desk if you need to knock out some work while on vacation.

Bedroom two has two full beds and a flat screen TV. The private bath has a walk-in shower. Bedroom three has a king bed and a flat screen TV. The private bath has a shower/tub combo.

The powder room and laundry room with washer/dryer are located on the main level. The home is also outfitted with wireless internet.

2nd Floor (Right Side of Home):

The fourth bedroom with a king bed, flat screen TV and private terrace. The private bath has a walk-in shower and a double vanity.

2nd Floor (Left Side of Home):

The final two bedrooms are located upstairs above the garage. They both share a bathroom with a shower and each have a flat screen TV. One has a king bed and sleeper sofa. The final bedroom has a pyramid bunk bed (full on bottom/twin on top). The bunk bedroom is accessed by walking through the king bedroom.

• Distance to Beach: Just under 1/2 mile to the beach. The Dunes Buggy is a seasonal complimentary on call shuttle that typically runs mid/late March or April through Labor Day and will take you to the beach.

• Pool Info: Approximately 28 feet by 14 feet. The pool is able to be heated seasonally only for an additional fee. It will not heat if the temperatures drop below 55 degrees at any point during your stay. Must call Coastal Home and Villa at least two weeks prior to your arrival to confirm pool heat and pay heating fee.

• Fully Equipped Kitchen - Granite Countertops, Double Oven, Two Dishwashers, Gas Stovetop, Keurig & Regular Drip Coffee Maker

• Screened in Porch with a Full Bathroom, Seating + Grilling Station (Built-In Grill, Sink, Beverage Cooler)

• 8 Beach Towels

• Paying guest reservations staying between 4-27 nights will receive a $250 VayK Life beach/bike gear credit. This will be emailed to you after making a reservation and is valid for VayK Life rentals only.

• Parking: There is parking available for up to 6 cars max. Car passes are an additional fee. They start at $35/pass and increase depending on length of stay. You are billed based on the exact amount of car passes you request. One garage bay available for use.

Reviewer Comments: This gorgeous home ,located across the street from a golf course in a quiet neighbourhood, was spotless, beautifully appointed, very we equipped and a 10 minute walk max. to HH’s wonderful beach!There is good shade in the private backyard overlooking the pool and plenty of very comfortable lawn chairs , pool toys etc...We had daily visits in the morning and afternoon from a family of deer.A treat for all of us, especially the children !The very large screened in porch overlooking the pool has a dining and sitting area as well as a BBQ & overhead fans.Best of all it has a full washroom! The house plan provides for quiet spots and play areas for children.Unfortunately, we failed to leave comments in the guest book but had we done so, it would be “perfect” across the board.We highly recommend this beautiful property!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great stay at 18 Haul Away in Palmetto Dunes! PROS: We loved that the pool area only had a few steps down to it. We had 4 kids with us (two under 2) so stairs are normally a big safety hazard. The property was as-pictured online and was well-appointed with dishes, pots, pans, Tupperware, utensils, cooking items, etc. The layout was conducive to being together in the living areas but also having privacy for the bedrooms. Parking was easy for our 3 SUVs and having accessible garage space was nice for our bikes, beach gear, golf clubs, etc. The Sonos integrated speakers were key! We used them all day every day! CONS: We did have an issue with the grill the first day and called the rental company - they sent someone over within the hour. The maintenance guy was super nice but didn't have the part needed. So, in order to use the grill, we would have to light it manually with a lighter. We weren't necessarily comfortable with that so we didn't use it the whole week - which was unfortunate. The pool got unusually cloudy & gross by the 4th day. The pool guy happened to come by later that day and noticed the filter wasn't on the whole time! He turned it on and it cleared up by the next day. The outdoor stairs were also slimy & slippery in spots, especially on the sides near the railings.Overall, would love to stay here again - assuming the grill is fixed by then :)

The decor and spaciousness of home allowed for group to be together but have their own space when needed. We would definitely rent this home again. The only things that could make the rental better would be to add a second outside trashcan as it was completely full when we moved in and we had no where to put trash for 3 days. The driveway is also advertised to fit 6 cars but it was very tight for our group who only had 4.

Reviewer Comments: We've visited Palmetto Dunes 5x and stayed in 4 homes (2x in one home); 18 Haul Away was by far the best kept & the location, just minutes to the beach access and General Store, was so convenient. The home was a good size for our mix of families (adults/teens). We especially appreciated the 2 dishwashers! We also can't say enough great things about the responsiveness and helpfulness of Coastal Homes & Villas. The only real cons for us: 1 you have to walk *through* one of the 2 upstairs BRs to use their shared bath (not Jack/Jill style), and 2 you're on the lagoon but can only see a sliver of it bcs of the trees. Overall, an excellent property and experience!

Great family property

Property is as advertised. The separation of the rooms is great for kids. Having a pool and the vicinity to the beach gives great options along with Palmetto Dunes being centrally located. Also extra fridge and use of the garage is great for large parties.

Great house

The house was amazing. Perfect set up to have family dinners and hang out. House was very clean and well stocked in the kitchen. The only draw back was the bed in the master bedroom was way way too soft. And a big thing that needs to be stated up front is definition of gated community. We didn’t realize other family members or friends visiting could not enter without a pass. We thought the gate would have a guest access. Meeting guests at the gate was annoying and we ordered more passes. Ubers and Lyfts can get through but that’s it. The process for guests or other family members visiting should be more clear way upfront in house description. All was fine but took a day or two to get things situated as other family members were staying on the island in different communities. Also the listing as a 6 bedroom is somewhat misleading due to the 6 th is a walk through bedroom ( it’s more like a 5 bedroom house with the 5th being a suite ). Lastly the pool was able to be heated and I think important that renters know they need to give property manager two weeks notice. In the welcome letter or prior and email should be sent asking if we want that. It was too late by the time we got there because we didn’t know upfront. Instructions for Wi-Fi use and TV use were great and easy to follow. Would recommend there be coasters available in the house as well. My review is still star 5 star

The house had great spaces- excellent large communal spaces to gather with family AND private bedrooms with extremely comfortable beds for down time. The outdoor spaces- both the screened in porch and the pool area- were especially wonderful. The kitchen was excellent- the two dishwashers and two ovens were fantastic! There weren't many of staying during this particular visit, but the house is very well equipped for large groups. My husband was working remotely for most of our stay- so the reliable wifi and the "office space" in the bedroom above the garage was a definite bonus!We're frequent renters in Palmetto Dunes and can be rather critical about the comfort and amenities of rental houses, but this house definitely checked all of our boxes! From the comfortable beds, to the plethora of storage containers in the kitchen for leftovers- they thought of everything!

We were there in September on a girls trip and my family loved it so we came back in for Christmas it was fantastic clean and kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The only draw back we could not use the garage to store our small trailer but we did find a storage place for it.
