Elk Horn Ridge is in a quiet residential community with year round access on a paved road that leads you from downtown Maggie Valley with all its restaurants and shops, past Campbell Creek and the historic Fisher Farm of Maggie Valley, to this wonderfully cozy cabin getaway. Elk Horn Ridge boasts two master suites with adjoining luxury bathrooms; beautiful loft space and cathedral ceilings allow you to enjoy the full splendor of the surrounding mountains. The stone fireplace is warm & cozy for those chilly nights and the large wrap-around porch is perfect for gazing at the morning sun rise. Elk Horn Ridge is the cozy log cabin of your mountain dreams! Due to noise, no motorcycles please.
Just a 15 minute drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area, Tony’s Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (historic motorcycle, as featured on History Channels “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing. In less than 20 minutes, you could be in Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street in Waynesville and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.
This cabin is a 25 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, The Smoky Mountain National Park, and the Harrah's Casino in Cherokee (even if you do not gamble it has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday).
Not even 45 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estates & Winery, several micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 20 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.
Approximately, 50 minutes away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas. You are 1 hour 30 minutes to Gatlinburg, TN and Pigeon Forge (home of Dollywood).
Paved road accessibility, not far off main road in Maggie Valley. We do experience inclement weather in this region, seasonally, all-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive is recommended for access in late fall and winter.
