About this property
Beautiful Lake Home with camping amenities
This home is located on beautiful, spring-fed, 172 acre, Coal Lake. Four bedrooms and lots of extra space. Camping also available for easily four campers or tents. If you have more than 10 total guests, contact me for adjusted rates.
Great clean spring-fed clear lake. Good fishing lake! My son caught a 22 1/2 Largemouth! I've caught 11" Crappies ice fishing! Good hunting, public hunting land nearby, good lake for water skiing which was our family fun-time. It's also right next to MN State snowmobile trail for extra winter fun.
Peace and quiet abound in this up-north getaway. Pets are welcome. There is a dog kennel attached to the garage. Groomed trails throughout the woods. Two full bathrooms. Two kitchens; upstairs and down. Two decks. Ample parking.
There's an old 14 ft boat you can take out with an electric motor, or bring your own.
This is not a walkout to the lake as there are steps down. Good exercise and a beautiful view, but not good if you have bad knees. There's not much of a beach as it is pretty rock but usable. The water drops off quickly and is 5-6 ft deep at the end of the dock. There is a floating swim platform for your use. Bring mosquito repellent as some years they can be bad. In 2018 they were virtually non-existent but it depends on the spring weather.

About the host
Hosted by Andy Trelstad
We purchased this home from the original owner in 2004. I was working at Camp Ripley at the time and wanted a beautiful clear lake setting. It was built in 1979 by a large local family. Our kids grew up here, yet alas, they've move on. It's a shame to have this beautiful spot not being taken advantage of so I'm offering to share it with you and your family.
Why they chose this property
There are some cabins and a few year-long residents on the West side with us kind of smack dab in the middle. During the week, You'll likely be the only one on the lake. Weekends are still not that crowded. The East side of the lake is virtually uninhabited which gives you a feeling of isolation. There's one house across the lake but you can stand on the dock and feel like you're in the middle of nowhere.
What makes this property unique
Up-North feeling yet still a reasonable drive from the Twin Cities.
