Our family stayed here to enjoy some peace and quiet after the holidays. The house was so clean and had all of the amenities we needed. Definitely recommend if you want mountains, but still close enough to the city.
The pictures do not give this place justice. We had a relaxing time on the patio and around the fire pit. The scavenger hunt was a big hit with my family.
Nice clean out of the way space, plenty of room for a family get together and dinner. Property is beautiful with hiking trails nearby which we took advantage of. Loved our stay.
We stayed for our family vacation in the Alb area. We enjoyed the house tremendously. Was able to communicate quickly with the owner when I had questions about our stay. Would recommend to anyone who is looking.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The home was larger than expected and was in a very nice area. Both the home and the surrounding scenery were very beautiful. I would definitely stay here again.
The property and amenities are amazing! Mountain living at its best with easy access to hiking, trails, and nature. I am already planning a return trip.
We enjoyed our stay at this house. Calm and private property where you can hear birds sounds throughout day. The books and brochures were really helpful to know and plan for local attractions.
This is a lovely home in a rural setting. Very quiet and private. It was very clean and the kitchen had everything I needed and more including coffee, cooking oil, and spices. We enjoyed watching the birds while eating breakfast on the patio. The a/c and the wi-fi worked great. Roads leading to the house are paved. The driveway is gravel and a little steep at the end. A 4-wheel drive vehicle might be needed in snow. Very nice property, highly recommend!
We stayed for 2 nights in this lovely home. It was spotless and so comfortable. Everything we needed was there and more! Beautiful home, tons of space inside and outside and tastefully decorated. You can tell this home is loved ! Will definitely stay there again when in town.
We enjoyed the mountains all around us, the birds at the feeder, the book collection and coffee around the fire ring one morning. We even saw a few shooting stars as well!
It's a short, scenic drive to hiking /climbing trails, to Albuquerque and Santa Fe for shopping or to experience the Sandia Peak Tramway.
Such a relaxing home. Thank you!
Loved cooking in the kitchen. Even cooked up some steaks on the grill. The laundry room with the clothes line was an excellent touch. Wind rushing through the trees, the privacy and those fabulous showers. All good things to restore my soul, thank you!
Nice property, clean, stocked with many basics. Linda is a great host and made the experience better. Biggest issue was we couldn’t enjoy the outdoors as much as we wanted to due to the dogs in two neighboring properties.
My mom & I had a very pleasant stay at this property. It had everything we could have possibly needed and we felt immediately at home here. The views were amazing, there was an abundance of space and really loved the cabinet full of games. Surrounding neighbor’s dogs and roosters might be an issue for light sleepers but we didn’t mind them. Important to know that property shares a driveway with another home and they have several protective dogs but their property is fenced. We only had one issue during our stay but the owner was easy to reach and very prompt in helping to resolve the concern. Highly recommend and would love to stay here again next time we’re in ABQ.
we stayed in this lovely home when we came to attend the balloon fiesta . I had a lot of questions for the property owner and she was always very quick and informative with her responses . once we arrived, we couldn't locate a hair dryer and she quickly provided 2 hair dryers for us to use during our stay. each room in the home was so nicely decorated and there was even a flashlight in each room just in case one was needed. There was also a nice bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived . the outdoor space is so beautiful and we loved the bird viewing area . we even saw a bunny there one afternoon . we would absolutely stay there again if we ever travel to the area again !
Such a fun stay! Great communication with host. Very comfortable home - had everything we needed. Pretty views - slept with the windows open to get a cool, fresh breeze. Would suggest you arrive before dark as turnoff is easy to miss. Plan to bring groceries as no real grocery store nearby. We cooked one might and grilled another- found everything we needed. We had no issues with neighbors or dogs. Sounded like a rooster crowing competition in the mornings and at dusk, but it suited our surroundings perfectly and added to the experience. Lots of great family time. Would visit again.
This is our 2nd time staying at Linda's home for a weekend trip. It was clean, well stocked and very comfortable. We brought groceries to cook and grill. Kitchen had everything we needed. Wifi works great. Beds and linens are comfy. Plenty of hot water. Appreciated the simple and limited check out instructions. The addition of a gas grill and covered firepit were much appreciated and enjoyed. The location allows spectacular views of the sky at night. Enjoyed the firepit both nights - plenty of wood provided. Private lot with plenty of space for a kid to explore and play. Very close to trails and campgrounds for mountain biking, hiking. dirt biking and more. We hope to return again next year.
I stayed at the Mountain Escape with my husband, my son and his wife and two children (ages 7 and 9) and my daughter and her husband. We were in Tijeras for my youngest daughter’s wedding in July 2023. I chose the house only because it was just five minutes from my daughter’s home, where the wedding was held. We couldn’t have been more pleased! The house was beautiful, with two and a half bathrooms, a well stocked kitchen, a large dining room, a game room with lots of great games, and a very comfortable living room. Additionally there were three very nice bedrooms upstairs. The beds and linens were very comfortable. The house was much larger and more beautiful than the pictures revealed. Our favorite thing about this house was the amazing bird watching area, the breezy porch, and the fun scavenger hunt. A lovely roomy home for a family reunion! We hope to be back again soon. (Also, we were in town during a significant heat wave, and the AC worked great!)

Beautiful view
Home was nice but master suite had no closet or dresser. Also no hallway or coat closet. No storage for clothes was not convenient. Master shower had a clump of hair covering the drain and there were no kitchen trash bags available. Master suite windows had no screens so that room stayed a bit warm without the ability to let the cool breeze in. Rental ad said the garage was available for use but it was locked. That was not a big deal for me. Keys provided only unlocked the front door. Back door was much more convenient for carrying items to/from the house because there were no stairs but there was no key for that door. Loose dogs at the house below that shared the same driveway. I was skeptical about walking towards the street. Overall the house was nice and the mountain view was beautiful.
We had a wonderful stay here during our vacation to the 50th Balloon Fiesta. Even though the weather was rainy and cold most of our stay, the atmosphere at the house was very enjoyable and relaxing. We really enjoyed the lighted back porch next to the bird viewing area. The drive to the house was beautiful and loved that we could get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Thank you for sharing your amazing home with us!
We enjoyed our stay at Mountain Escape. The space nicely accommodated 5 adults and 1 kindergartner (family reunion for a nearby wedding). Kitchen is very well equipped and there are enough streaming options to provide some entertainment for the little one. The scavenger hunt was also well received, except don't waste time looking for Barbie as she's no where to be found. Communication with the owner through VRBO was efficient with very rapid turn around. Much appreciated!
