About this property

We are no longer open for VRBO. Thanks,

Congratulations! We have made it through the Pandemic. I am limiting the number of bookings, so please message me and I will try to accommodate your desired dates.

Our 5 star four bedroom lodge sits in the White Mountains, close to major skiing and hiking attractions. The home features a pool table, exercise equipment, a 100" projector screen, board games, a wood burning stove, outdoor fire pit, and stunning views of the sunset. You will love our "peace" of the Mountain!

Our beautiful log cabin is truly a year around destination. For summer and fall visitors, we have access to beautiful hiking trails, an outdoor firepit, and a wrap around deck to sit and relax on. For winter and early spring visitors, we have easy access to skiing at the Waterville Valley resort (7 miles).

We have a Nexgrill 4-Burner Propane Gas Grill in Stainless Steel with Side Burner on the deck and LLBean Kayaks to use on the Pemi River.

In the basement, we have a large recreation room with a projector screen for movies, reversible air hockey/ pool table, board games, reclined bike, and a tread mill. The projector has a VGA cable to connect to lap tops for streaming movies and a protected WiFi network that supports hi def movies. The basement also has a full bathroom, private bedroom with a walk in closet, pellet stove, and a laundry room with a washer and dryer.

The main floor has a living room with a baby grand piano, wood stove, and comfortable seating. The open plan kitchen has all of your cooking needs including pots and pans, spices, coffees and teas. The main floor also has two bedrooms and a full bathroom.

The second story has an open office with views of the mountains and an extensive library of fun and academic books. The master suite features an ensuite bathroom, sitting area, private balcony, and walk in closet.

The house has four double to queen sized beds, a basement sectional/ or air mattresses that fits two for sleeping. We cap the number of guests to 10.

Gorgeous home with a beautiful view!

This property is gorgeous with stunning views! There was plenty of room and the open floor plan made it great for the families to hang out. Tons of stuff for the kids to do, it was nice to get them away from their video games for the weekend. The best part was the outdoor hot tub with an amazing view of the mountains. The owner was very easy to contact by email and responded promptly.

Another great stay!

This is the 3rd time we have rented this house for Girls Canoe weekend. Rita is amazing to deal with. She is very responsive when you have a question. The house and the yard is breathtaking. We will be back again next year. This house is worth every penny.

Amazing retreat

I cannot say enough about this gorgeous house and property. Rita the owner was a complete blessing to deal with. She kept me informed of local events and everything I needed to make our annual canoe trip fantastic. The house is so spacious, the landscaping is breathtaking. The jacuzzi was amazing as well. We will be back next year and all the years to follow. Thank you so much Rita!

I am a mother of two who relocated to the White Mountains in 2014 with my husband to be closer to nature. I have worked as a dual diagnosis mental health counselor and pro bono as a sustainable development consultant.

Why they chose this property

We have always loved hiking at Welch Dickey and found this home on a hiking trip. The beauty of the landscape and the view from the deck made this house a must buy for us.

What makes this property unique

The deck faces west. Every night we drink a glass of wine and watch as the sun sets behind the mountains.
