Taylor Farm House + Guest House! - 6 bedroom / 5.5 bathroom

Our 6 bedroom / 5.5 bathroom home sits on over 6 acres! 4-10 minute drive to the base of Stratton and 2-3-minute drive to downtown Winhall. A short drive to multiple state parks! If you want to check out another mountain there are 4 other ski mountains driving distance from the house!

This listing includes the entire property which consists of a large Farm House as well as a two-story Guest House beautifully set on over 6 private acres! Across both spaces there are a total of 6 bedrooms, 12 beds (including 1 pull out couch), and 5.5 bathrooms! Some of the amenities include a sauna, covered patio, uncovered patio, two 55” TV’s with a large selection of channels, high speed internet, + more!

Farm House:
The first floor consists of a Kitchen / dining area, full bathroom, large living room with wood burning fireplace, foosball table, sauna, master bedroom suite with a queen size bed and an additional full bathroom.

The second floor consists of 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms:
Upstairs Bedroom 1: 1 king size bed
Upstairs Bedroom 2: 1 king size bed
Upstairs Bedroom 3: 2 full size beds
Upstairs Bedroom 4: 4 twin size beds

Guest house:
The lower level consists of a dining table, kitchen, half bathroom, Smart TV, attached garage game room, + more!

The upper level consists of one large bedroom with 2 queen beds, a pull out full size bed, TV, full bathroom, and a wet bar if you want to make yourself a night cap!

Garage: The garage has been converted into a game area that currently has a pool table and pop a shot. Game options might change over time so reach out if you want an up to date description of the game area.

There's an interior room that connects the Farm House to the Guest house and it contains a Foosball table!

-We recommend 4WD or AWD vehicles for driving in Vermont over the winter months.

-BBQ is stored during peak winter months so that it isn’t damaged.

-The house is located on Lower Taylor Hill Road next to the intersection of the Stratton mountain access road. Lower Taylor Hill Rd is one-way so it will take longer to get to the mountain vs coming back but on average will only take 4-5 minutes from mountain and 8-10 minutes to the mountain depending on traffic.

-You are more than welcome to bring your dog, we just ask that you keep him/her off furniture and beds as it’s difficult to get the hair off and please pick up outside if in trafficked areas. If you would like to bring more than one dog please just reach out for pre-approval.

-Dogs visit the home on occasion so if you are allergic please take this into consideration

-The house has 2 pack and plays that can be used.

-There’s a spiral staircase to access the top floor. There's a separate exterior staircase that goes to top floor to carry up larger suitcases, etc.

-The farm house and guest houses are family friendly but aren’t kid / baby proofed.

-The garage shown in picture is used as a game room so you can't park cars inside.

-Maximum capacity is 20 (8 in guest house and 12 in farm house).

-Surveillance or recording devices on property: Exterior motion sensing security camera facing entrance to driveway backed up into Nest cloud.

Taylor Farm House stay - President's weekend

This property - which is really two houses in one -was a great choice for our group of four parents and six college age kids. The property has a separate, newer addition with a kitchen/living room area and large bedroom, which was great for the kids to spend time together, play games and loud music. That space was located next to the garage which was converted into a game room. The main part of the home has a big stone fireplace which kept the space warm. The property was conveniently located minutes from the mountain, restaurants and bars which made it easy to shuttle our group back and forth to the resort especially when someone forgot their ski boots. We had ten people and plenty of room for more guests to sleep or hang out. The house was clean and beds were very comfortable. There was a ton of space for all the ski equipment and ski bags to stay warm and dry. Our hosts were extremely informative and responsive to every request or question. If we can find time to go back to Stratton, we would definitely return to this property. Thank you Alex, Rebecca and Eddie for your hospitality!

Fantastic long weekend!

Just returned yesterday from a long weekend with 8 friends and family at the Taylor Farm house. The house was so clean, comfortable, well appointed and spacious, we couldn't be happier. The hosts were very responsive and anticipated all of our questions and needs fantastically. The only "con" was that it is not on the Stratton Mt shuttle route and we had to drive about 12 mins to the base several times each day. Other than that, a 5-star stay! Thank you Alex and Rebecca!

This property is perfect for a large group, ample beds and bathrooms, 2 kitchen areas. we had a rainy weekend so spent a lot of time at the house and it was spacious enough that everyone was comfortable

Great for Large Groups!

During our recent stay there we’re 14 of us and our dog. The place was plenty big for every to spread out but also stay close together at the same time. The big table in the kitchen was nice for every one to sit and eat together. The guest house was a huge plus since we had our dog. We could keep her there to make sure she didn’t get too excited with the commotion of old friends. The game room in the garage and sauna were huge perks as well, both got plenty of use from our group. But the biggest plus for us was the number of bedrooms! Made it so every person got their own bed and every couple had their own room which was great when winding down at the end of the night! We will definitely be keeping this place in mind for future gatherings!

Family Reunion

This is a great property for a large group! We had 3 couples and two other adults. It was very clean, owners were easy to reach, guest house is adorable, and everyone had their own space. If traveling with a dog (two like we were) be mindful that the “fenced in yard” is not conducive to letting your dogs run free off leash, but other than that, it met our needs nicely!

Excellent stay!

I've had the pleasure of visiting Stratton with my ski shop every year for the past decade for demo days and have to say this is the best fit we've found for our group to date! Booking and checking in was seamless, parking was not a problem even with most people in our group driving separately and it was a great location to access everything around Stratton. We lucked out and got a couple inches of fresh snow our first night and were greeted with an amazing view of Bromley mountain the next morning! The two-houses-in-one setup worked perfectly for us. The younger group could stay up later and play music in the guest house without disturbing the older crowd in the main house. We made use of both kitchens (one was the breakfast bar and the other was for cooking dinner) and all the bathrooms made it easy for everyone to get out of the house and to the mountain before first chair! Our only regret was only being able to stay for three nights. We enjoyed this house so much and would love to stay again next year!

Great Ski Getaway close to Stratton

I stayed at Alex & Rebecca's with 16 friends for a ski weekend. The house was great and super close to Stratton. There was so much space for everyone to hang out and plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably. Alex & Rebecca were super responsive & helpful leading up to the trip & checked in to make sure everything was okay when we arrived. We had a great time and would definitely recommend for anyone looking with a big group!

Stratton Women's Nor-Am

This is the second time we have stayed here. We are a ski team who travels quite regularly and this is in the top 3 houses we have stayed in throughout New England. The Owners are always quick to respond to questions and help with anything when needed. Will definitely be staying here again the next time we have races in Stratton.

Dog friendly AND nig Enough for this crew!!

The place was great! The ability to have access to the main house and the guest house for all of us was key! As a person who spends a lot of time In the kitchen cooking for 10-14 people on a daily basis, I thought that the kitchen in the main house was goin to be an issue because it is kind of on the small size BUT having the guest house in addition to the main house allowed us to store it all and have multiple ovens going for the 4 days we were there. The fire place in the living room ended up being the gathering place every night to tell the stories of the day and kept us nice and toasty! The owners were very communicative and we felt that they were there for us if need be. Would totally visit again!

A great hiking weekend

This is a big, meandering house with a quirky layout. We were a co-ed group of friends, no couples, and there was plenty of privacy for all. The guest house is lovely. The main house isn’t as nice but completely utilitarian. Oven, dishwasher, washer and dryer are all great. Fitting 10 adults around the kitchen table for dinner is a tight squeeze, but we like each other :). It would be great if the owners ditched one of the couches and added a big farmhouse table. House was great! I would rent again! Owner is responsive.

Great for gatherings and nearby adventures

Our group has routinely done an annual trip to Vermont to spend quality time together, hike a bit, and explore. Alex's home was perfect for our trip and had plenty of bedrooms and hangout space for all. Being in Windhall also gave us easy access to hikes, waterfalls, swimming holes, and such. Alex is very communicative and made the whole process very easy. He even included several pages of recommendations in the area.

Great place for a big gathering

We stayed here for a weekend with 4 families. The host Alex and Rebecca are great and are available all the time for any questions. We rented the whole house (guest house and the farm house ) . Would love to go back sometime.

Great and relaxing stay

I stayed with friends and the house was amazing! There was a ton of space and plenty of bathrooms! Even during the off season we found plenty to do without driving too far. I would definitely recommend checking out Otter Creek fun center, even if you don’t have kids. They have mini golf, home made ice cream, and more! We did have a little rain during our trip but the screened in porch had a table and chairs so we could still enjoy the scenery.

Wonderful stay!

Alex and Rebecca’s farm house was perfect for a long weekend with family and friends. Very spacious and the living room and kitchen areas were big enough so everyone could spend time together. Would definitely stay here again / recommend!

Great property for a large group of friends

The house was as advertised and very spacious. The main floor of the guest house was the perfect spot when we all wanted to gather together. We enjoyed the fall foliage from the deck. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking large meals. And our hosts were super responsive to each message I sent them.

Exactly what we needed

We would stay here again. The listing was as described, communication was quick (we had a few questions during our stay), wifi was strong, check-in/out was easy and instructions were thorough, and we had a great time! We had a large group and rented both houses. Plenty of areas to hang out together or to lounge on our own / in smaller groups. A massive plus was the 5.5 bathrooms. While there was no AC, the bedrooms each have fans and it really only bothered us 1 night when it was really humid. Note that the bedroom in the guest house is on the second floor that connects to the living room through a spiral staircase and there's no door.
