First time user

First of all this was our first time using Vrbo and I must say it didn’t disappoint! The house was spacious and clean. A huge bonus was a bathroom for each bedroom. The owners communicated promptly and we had zero difficulties. Fantastic!

Family Visit

We needed a jumping off point for a trip to visit colleges and Museums in Raleigh/Chapel Hill area. this property was incredibly convenient and had plenty of room for all. The rooms are large, each with its own very nice sized bathroom and walk-in closet. The neighborhood was quiet and safe and the backyard was pretty and peaceful.

Did not meet expectations

This is a nice home in a great neighborhood and convenient for stays near the city. However, the home simply was not clean, poorly stocked, the TVs did not work properly and the outdoor area was not in the condition shown on the site. We had to clean bathrooms kitchen and kitchen floor before unpacking.

Cute for entertaining, but not for cooking

I hosted Thanksgiving here for my family and they had a good time. Positives about this house are that it is roomy & there are quite a few different places to hang out. Communication with these guys was good beforehand & check in was easy. TV's in the living room & downstairs were nice, we brought an XBox for the kids. The living room is nicely decorated. Pets are allowed, but I didn't see where to add pets in the checkout, so I was billed for that afterwards. I now realize you have to add them when you are initially putting in the info, not afterwards. This was my first VRBO, so lesson learned. Also, one of my dogs broke out with some strange rash on her muzzle from the yard. There was straw covering the grass so I'm not sure if there was a chemical in the yard that caused it. Who knows, maybe she is allergic to hay/straw so beware of that if your dog has allergies/skin sensitivity. Pre-Thanksgiving issues: The home was clean on the surface, but the kitchen needs some work. I had to clean the floor because my socks were filthy from walking on it. Every single dish in the kitchen needed to be rewashed to be usable and the pots and pans were unusable since they were all nonstick with the nonstick scraped off. There was coffee grounds in the machine and toast crumbs under the toaster and the utensil drawers were a jumbled mess with food crumbs in there as well. The spring mattresses in the 2 bedrooms are cheapy and uncomfortable and they also need to clean out under the beds. Carpets looked nice, however. I was sent a bill for getting wine on a dish towel and accidentally breaking a cheap tchotchke in the kitchen. I can't say how much because I'm not allowed to in the review, but it was petty and I emailed him when I left the home to inform him of these things thinking that was the right thing to do. I should have just thrown those two items the trash and they would have been none the wiser, but I really did not think in a million years that be sent a bill for something so frivolous considering all the washcloths and dish towels already came with their own stains. I was also given a 3 stars for cleanliness when in all honesty, I left it cleaner than when I got there, but it is what it is, my word against theirs. My mom being a mom told me to take pictures of everything just in case, but I didn't. Another lesson learned. In summary, a nice place to hang out, but be extra careful about every single thing or a bill is in your future.

Perfect house for us

This was an amazing place for us to stay for the NCSU commencement. The house has everything you need and I actually think the inside looks better in person than in the pictures. The 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms allowed us to stay together, but have space and privacy. The decks are great, too. The only caution is, that you may need bug spray and parking may be tricky, but you can make it work. I highly recommend it.

Home was exactly what we expected from the pictures. We had a 2 years old. When she went to bed, the Jenga, corn hole, fire pit was perfect. The night continued to all hours. Had a couple of small issues in the beginning, owner was there within 1/2 hour of text message. Very cmfortable

Great layout for a family gathering!

We had a wonderful time enjoying our pre- Christmas gathering at this location. The floor plan yields two roomy living room areas- perfect for board games, tv watching, and computer gaming, and meals. Having a separate bathroom for each bedroom was great! We had brought along our golden doodle, Mayberry, and appreciated the fenced in backyard. If you plan to cook, please note that the kitchen is somewhat limited in basics- we managed a full "from scratch" meal but the absence of a measuring cup and spoons made it more challenging. Overall, a great location to rent!

VERY UNCOMFORTABLE BEDS!!! Property manager is horrible.

Upon entering the rental you're immediately overwhelmed with the scent of what smells like too many glade plugins. The queen bed on the bottom floor is so uncomfortable my friends chose to sleep on the floor instead of having the springs stab them in the back. The remote to the TV didn't work and a replacement was offered but it never arrived. We left something behind and the property manager said he grabbed it for me, asked for my Venmo, my address, and the type of shipping I wanted. He promised he'd ship it a couple times and then, crickets... No response of any kind for weeks. This is the same property manager who didn't bring a tv remote which was the first sign of the empty promises to come. The fenced yard is nice but definitely a huge mud pit if it's raining, neighborhood is ok but def not safe since it's right by the highway in a very low income area. All in all a decent place but the property manager is a liar and the interaction with him has unfortunately soured my experience with this rental.
