Oyr stay in Trastevere

Great location, very spacious apartment and a great host. Some issues with electricity supply and lounge room air-conditioning. Overall a good option.

Great historic apartment in Trastavere

Giulio was extremely welcoming and met us for check-in. All communication was prompt and helpful - we loved our stay. The apartment is older but has beautiful tall ceilings and provided plenty of space to spread out for our group. There is a kids playground across the road and a fruit market also all mornings but Sunday. It was in a great location and easy walk to all restaurants and two supermarkets downstairs. We will definitely stay again - thanks Giulio!

Close to everything

Apartment is conveniently located in the heart of Trastevere, but we had no problem with noise. Bedrooms are very spacious and there was everything we needed. The apartment is on the second floor and a lovely outlook. The building has a small lift, which is great with luggage. We would definitely stay here again.

Ciao Rome

Giulio's apartment was a perfect base to explore Rome from, with our family of 4. The apartment was very clean and spacious. 2 big bedrooms, lounge/dining, kitchen. The location couldn't get any better. 155 restaurants and bars, all within 5 minutes walk. Bustop down the road to train station. Within walking distance to all the main sites of Rome. Highly recommended Giulio's apartment.

Great accommodation

Great spot to experience Rome with a family of 4. Accommodation is in an area buzzing with activity of travelers and locals. As per other comments, that comes with some noise, but we reckoned that was part of the experience. There is a vast selection of food options near by including restaurants, bakeries, gelato joints and a grocery store for dyiers. The Deli 50m down the road was a favorite. Easy walk to other side of the river to see the sights. Lastly Giulio was a great host - accommodation had all the essentials - comfortable beds included. Recommend it highly.

Spacious en comfortable stay in heart of trastevere

Mooi, groot en heel compleet appartement in de mooie en gezellige wijk trastevere. Onze host gaf van tevoren duidelijke instructies over de check-in procedure en wachtte ons persoonlijk op bij het appartement. Comfortabele bedden, een zeer uitgebreide inventaris en ruime kamer.Badkamer en keuken waren.netjes en schoon.Op straat was het ‘s avonds levendig, zeker in het weekend was het uitgaanspubliek aanwezig, maar dat kan je verwachten in deze buurt.Restaurants, bars, gezellige pleinen en winkeltjes, alles is op loopafstand.Aanrader!

Feel like a local

Great location with attentive host. Walkable to all the sites. Great cafes, restaurants, grocery stores steps outside the door for everything you need from morning coffee to happy hour spritzes, from porchetta to suppli, pizza or pasta. Square is noisy, so if you need quiet to sleep, this is not the place for you.

Lovely apartment in central location

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. It is large and very comfortable, and organized in such a way that it really felt lived in. Giulio is a pleasure to meet and seems to have done this for a long time, he certainly has the process down. Communication and check in were very easy, he even met us just as we were getting out of a taxi right in front of the entrance.The apartment is centrally located, with dozens of restaurants in easy walking distance. The terrific market, which opens early, is right outside the windows. And less than a block away are two grocery stores, a wonderful pasticceria, a norceria - you will not go hungry in this area.The pictures and apartment description are accurate, very much how we had hoped. We expect to return on one of our next visits to Rome.

Great apartment, excellent location

The apartment was spacious and exactly as described. The kitchen was well equipped to make a few quick breakfasts and reheat our leftovers from one of the many local restaurants. Plenty of bedding and the beds were super comfortable. The apartment is located about a 5 minute walk from 2 of the different tram stops that take you right to the sites as well as many bus stops. FYI - you can easily pay for the buses and trams with Tap on your credit card or on you apple watch, iPhone.Only issue was that the plaza adjacent to the unit was a bit noisy at night, but from reading review of other places, this is a common problem everywhere. Italians like to be outside sometimes late into the evening. It was mildly annoying, but we were so tired from our exploring and our bellies so full of excellent food and wine, we were still able to fall asleep. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone else.

Nice stay in Trastevere

Convenient location in the heart of Trastevere above a large square with a daily food market. The house was spacious and very clean. Furniture a little dated but functional with comfortable beds. Check-in process was punctual and exhaustive (a little long maybe the overall conversation with the very friendly property manager after a long day of travel). On the negative side, the handle of the window in the main bedroom was broken/missing and we could not close it properly. This was a little inconvenient especially for the noise coming from the square below that as other reviews mentioned is not for the light sleepers as the market setup starts early am and nightlife is on till late. The location with the noise could be a factor to consider in warmer months with open windows and more late night action. This is why we gave it 4 stars. But otherwise a nice play to stay.

Perfect place!

We were very comfortable and felt at home in Dr. Lau’s home. Trastevere is a wonderful lively community and we wished we could stay longer. Everything was in order and Dr. Lau welcomed us personally.

When in Rome

Great arrival, Giulio meet us upon arrival and gave us great information. The location was excellent very close to all site and the area has great restaurants. A bit noisy at night but turning the fan on drowned out any sounds. Would definitely stay there again

Very nice apartment, very loud neighborhood

The apartment is wonderful but the activity on the streets below were very loud well past 1:00 am making sleeping somewhat challenging. Not surprising if you want to in an area with great nightlife.

Perfect for our needs

Great find in a terrific neighborhood. Husband and daughter visited to move her into student housing at beginning of fall term. Communication was easy, efficient, and helpful. Apartment met all of their needs for a brief stay. Just delightful - thank you!

The property and host were perfect. Nice family neighborhood. Many amazing restaurants and shops. Great nightlife for those interested. Open market right outside vendors very friendly. Early morning street cleanup may bother some late sleepers.

Beautiful apartment

We loved our stay in this beautiful apartment. There were beds for everyone, washer, drying rack and air conditioning which was greatly appreciated. The neighborhood is wonderful and we enjoyed walking around and visiting the local restaurants and market.

Great place to stay in Trastevere

The place is actually very large and comfortable for a family of 5. I’d also say it is nicer in person than the online photos with very high ceilings and you get to stay in a building that is over 400 years old. Gulio was very attentive and helpful during our stay and went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. He even made a trip back and waitee for us to return to show us how to unlock the door (user error on my part). Location is very strategic for walking to the Vatican/Coloseum or taking the bus with lots of great restaurants within 2-3 minutes.
