We have stayed at many vacation rentals over the years. This was by far, the best experience we have had. The host (Ethan) when above and beyond in providing everything we could possibly need. In addition, the property was perfect for us. It was a wonderful place to get away and unwind.
Cottage is very cozy and welcoming. It has everything you might need for your stay. Grill outside works perfect too. Dock and fire pit were the plus. We spend all our nights at the fire watching the sunset. Lake is very clean and warm even in mid September. Unfortunately we weren’t able to use a kayaks or canoe due to weather but I am sure we will come back another time. Also First time we watch the loon so close. Thank you.
This is the cutest cabin we have ever rented, and we have stayed in quite a few!
Very clean, great location, lots for the kids to do.
Ethan, the owner, was super responsive and answered all of our questions right away.
Everything was perfect. The house was spacious, clean, and well appointed. The host was communicative and there was never a point where we thought, “oh I wish the house had this…” Nevermind the beautiful view, porch, dock, and lake. We enjoyed a few local attractions like the Orono bog walk and farmers market, and ventured into Bangor, but mostly we just cooked at the house while looking at the water. I highly recommend booking here and am grateful to the hosts for sharing their Alice of heaven.
We had a great week at this wonderful cottage on Pushaw Lake. The owners have thought of everything someone could need/want. We brought our boat and having a dock was very convenient. We fished every day and my husband caught many bass and also some pike. Two of the pike he caught were over 10lbs. There were lots of loons and eagles. The sunsets were spectacular. We hope to rent again in the future
We all enjoyed the beautiful spot right on the water. The camp was clean and had everything we needed or wanted plus thoughtful extras (bottled water and Netflix). The hammock was a favorite spot! We will definitely be back!
This adorable cabin had everything my husband and I needed. Beautiful lakeside view with kayaks to leisurely tour the shoreline of Lake Pushaw. We enjoyed the fire pit several nights. Ethan is a great host…. Very communicative and helpful. I had inquired before we got there about ice and he put two bags in the freezer before we got there. He also left the kitchen light on for us since we were coming in late at night. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return!
Ethan and Elizabeth didn’t miss a trick in making this cottage feel like our own. We drove up just as the sun set. Lake Pushaw is quiet, tranquil and everyone you meet waves hello as if they known you. The property is well-kept and everything is ready to use whether it was extra bedding or camping chairs, games or kayaks. They supplied everything - even steak seasoning for the grill. Having dinner that night facing the lake was perfect. Their info binder was clear and included ideas for trips or meals. Communication was great! Their cottage made our 35th anniversary even more special.

Despite the rain, we enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Very quiet and met some neighbors and their dog who were very nice. The cottage was nicely decorated and it seems Ethan thought of everything. The beds were comfortable and the weather was seasonable so we didn’t need any heat or a/c. The lake was very quiet post Labor Day. Will have to come back with better weather to enjoy the lake more. Highly recommend.
The cottage is a wonderful place to get away and relax. The property is in a beautiful spot on Pushaw lake. The cottage itself is charming. It is an authentic Maine cabin but with all of the modern conveniences that we are used to. The owners stocked it with everything that we needed for our stay. The owner was very responsive and helpful. We would love to visit again sometime soon.
My husband and I, 2 kids, and 2 dogs had a blast spending a week here on the lake. Thank you so much for the lovely experience! The kids and pups especially loved swimming and kayaking every day and the view was just amazing! The few minor questions I had were answered immediately. Would definitely recommend!
We stayed 4 nights and fully enjoyed all the cottage, lake and area had to offer. Easy check in to a super clean well decorated and appointed older cottage. Enjoyed the clean and quiet lake with canoes and kayaks provided. Good size fridge with porch bar fridge making it handy to all. Kitchen is for 1-2 cooks only with a BBQ nearby. Clean bathroom with shower and washer / dryer. Not sure if the tv's worked as weather was perfect to hang outside on chairs and hammock. Would highly recommend for all reasons above plus host responded right away on 2 occasions to our questions.
Enjoyed our stay on Pushaw Lake! Cozy and relaxing! Didn’t see as much sun as we’d hope but totally made the best of it by exploring the beautiful region and all of it’s glory! Nature and good food and drinks reign in the region! Our pup loved it too-very dog friendly area!
Owners thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and complete. The on the lake view is beautiful and relaxing. Biggest surprise was using the canoe to catch at least 15 small mouth bass. We're booking a full week next year!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the lake. The setting was beautiful and the cabin was cozy. I didn’t know there was anywhere in the civilized world that was this quiet.
Excellent wifi. The kayaks and canoe added a lot of fun, as did the gas grill for cookouts.
This place is great. Our third, but definitely not our last year here. Ethan is an incredible host. The cabin has the perfect mix of modern comfort and old school lake house. The fishing on Pushaw lake is great. There is always fun to be had in Old Town, Bangor, Orono and the surrounding towns. We love this place.
My family and I had a wonderful time staying on this cabin on Lake Pushaw! The cabin has everything you could need and more. We enjoyed fishing, boating and swimming in the beautiful lake. Sitting on the dock in the sun, napping in the hammock and eating s’mores around the fire at night was so relaxing!
