Beautifully renovated, 5BR/3BA lakefront house on a peaceful piece of Lake Hartwell in Lavonia, GA. Our home is family friendly and perfect for family vacation or Clemson football weekends. Sleeps up to 15. Free Wi-fi. Recently painted and updated with new floors throughout main floor and master bedroom level. Uniquely decorated modern interior. 3 TV’s with cable. In the Master bedroom there is a King Bed. In the four secondary bedrooms there are 5 queen beds and one single bed. There is a pullout sofa in basement family room. Washer/Dryer. Great lake views. Large deck for entertaining. Indoor fireplace. Brand NEW private boat dock for boating/swimming. Outdoor fire pit. Located 1/2 mile from Franklin Co. boat ramp. You will not be disappointed.

Large multi-state small family reunion

The pre-stay communication was perfect, the property was large, clean, prepared, beautiful and exactly what was described - but better!! All of the group wants to return to the property again for another getaway.

Delightfully refreshing reunion

Our whole family enjoyed a peaceful and fun week together over Christmas. Each person found something personally fulfilling to their personality. Whether it was skipping rocks on the lake, playing games together, watching movies, taking a walk and meeting a neighbor, sitting quietly reading a book, inspired by Bible verses posted around the house, or even seeing something that could be fixed So we could say, “We left it better than we found it!”

Amazing time at the Lake

The property was perfect for our group. We had an extended family camping trip planned in FL which was cancelled by a hurricane. We booked this house as a backup plan and couldn't be more please with our stay!

Lakeside retreat

Great lake house- deep water cove

Great location on deep water cove, private dock, beautiful home not too far from I-85. Plenty of parking Was perfect for our crew of 8 adults and 2 children!! Would certainly recommend. The Franklin Co Boat Ramp is literally around the corner.

Family weekend

The home was beautiful. Rooms were great and plenty of space. The back deck was a great way to relax and see the water .. the dock was awesome .. and home owner was great to work with and quick to respond with any questions ! I highly recommend this property

Fantastic house on Lake Hartwell!

My wife and I take about 1 to 2 trips a year with our group of firends. We've never stayed at Lake Hartwell before, so we weren't sure how much we'd like. I'll that staying at this house made the weekend for us. We have never thought about booking the same place twice until now! This house was very spacious, clean, and located in a very quiet private area. We had plans on going to Clemson for lunch one day, but we just could pull ourselves away from the lake. For us the big seller was the dock. The dock is huge with cover that provides shade throughout the day, but is still big enough to have a large area of full sun for most of the day. Once we finished spending most of the day swimming, floating, and relaxing. We'd go back to the house which has multiple areas for entertaining and relaxing. As a group we agreed that this was probably the best vacation rental we have stayed in yet. Last but not least, the property owner "Lance" was fanatic. I had contacted him prior to our stay with some questions about the property and he was extremely responsive and accommodating.

Beautiful Lake House

Ended 2023 and started 2024 in this beautiful lake house. Plenty of room for the whole crew! Great outdoor space for hanging out. Everything was perfect for us!

Thanksgiving Gathering

Lovely home on Lake Hartwell that was perfectly suited for our biennial family Thanksgiving weekend gathering of 15 members. The house provided accommodations for sleeping, food preparation, and eating for our clan. Friday, our 5 families took day trips to Toccoa, Highlands, and Greenville. Saturday was spent watching football and playing games at the house. We were so pleased we are considering coming back in the summer to take advantage of the lake facilities.

Great, but a little overpriced

The location of this property is great if you're looking for a lake getaway. It's a beautiful spot and was perfect for our two families. We were able to rent a boat from the marina down the road (Harbor Light Marina) and it was a great way to spend a day. The home is good, big enough for our group and relatively comfortable with plenty of amenities (fire pit, grill, patio, dock, etc.). But between the nightly rental cost and all the fees and additional costs it ended up being almost $700/night. For that cost, I would expect it to be immaculate. It was a little worn and could have used a deep clean and maybe some updated mattresses. Not things I would normally be too critical about but for that price I expected a higher standard. I'm not sure how much control the owner has over the fees so it could be a VRBO thing. Overall, I would recommend this home but still think it's priced a little too high.

Toccoa Wedding

All of our 10 adult family members were very pleased with the Gumlog house. Room for everyone. The four kid members (under adult supervision) had a blast paddling the owner's Kayak. Our two night stay was too short as the main purpose of our trip was focused on a wedding. However, it would be great to come back for a lengthier stay and not be so consumed with a tight schedule.

Week stay for the HS National Bassmaster Tournament

Perfect location and just far enough away from the congestion. We had a total of 10 (5 adults and 5 teenagers) and the accommodations were perfect for this size group and bigger. House was clean and everything was accurate for the the listing. Lance was quick to respond to questions and the neighbors were very nice. Looking forward to coming back one day! Ronnie

Great weekend at the lake

Great few days at the lake. Location is excellent. We enjoyed the dock and making s’mores at night. The house was clean and the view from the family room is amazing.

Daughter’s college graduation from Clemson

As others have commented, the pictures don’t depict how beautiful this home is! Just a perfect Lake House nestled in a pristine location on beautiful Lake Hartwell. The view from that family living room with the expansive floor to ceiling windows—Wow!! My group consisted of 10 members of my family ranging from age 16 to 81. Everyone commented on how great the home was and were incredibly pleased with all the comfort it offered. Multiple bedrooms with larger beds (not bunk beds or twins) that suited us perfectly; also, the 3 full bathrooms were a lifesaver. The house had everything you need to cook a meal, grill out, or just kick back and relax. The younger crew included 5 “kids” ages 16-29…not a single complaint amongst them👍Of note: the fire pit and dock were a huge hit!! The owner, Lance, could not have been nicer and responded to every question I had regarding the property, surrounding area, stores, etc. If you are looking for a beautiful, comfortable lake house…look no further; you will not be disappointed. Great place!

House was beautiful, with plenty of room for the 11 people in our group. Lance was responsive and helpful. We really enjoyed use of the kayak, and there was room for the 3 boats we brought. My nephews loved fishing, and my parents were so thrilled, they want to make this an annual retreat spot! Thank you for a great weekend away!
