I throughly enjoyed the cabin. It had all the modern amenities but truly had old western log cabin decor and flair. It was private and very quiet. Tricia the host was very personable and communicated well. I highly recommend nearby Salt Lick BBQ! The nearby town of Wimberly had fun shops and eats. Gruene was an hour away, but was my favorite with charming historic shops and restaurants and very walkable. Order the schnitzel at Gruene River Grill overlooking the river! Larger Fredricksburg is 45 minutes away and had an good old world German vibe and shops and food. When not exploring i enjoyed the rockers on the cabin covered porch!
We had the best time at this sweet cabin! We were in town for a wedding, and enjoyed everything from the pups, hot tub, fresh comfy robes and the fabulous bed! Can't wait to be back. Don't sleep in this one!
This is our absolute favorite cabin to stay at. We loved everything about it. Thank you for allowing us the serenity we experienced this weekend! We'll definitely stay again!
Everything it showed and the description it had about the place was spot on and an it was an amazing place. Awesome time, not too far from stores and trails. They had wood all types of kitchen and bath supply's. Very clean. I would stay there again and i would also highly recommend this place. Although there is one thing and it could be huge for some people. Their dogs followed us everytime we drove in and stayed on the porch for a good while. 4 dogs and 2 dogs are huge and to be honest not matter how friendly they were. Not everyone likes dogs and some adults can be extremely scared of they, especially kids. However, if you love pets this place will be a 100% a perfect place to enjoy nature, and relax, we did...
The cabin was even more beautiful than the pictures. My girlfriend loved the dogs visiting. Don't know of anything that could have been better. We love Dripping Springs and this will be the place we will always try to stay at when we visit from now on.
It was a nice house and felt really secluded. The hot tub was nice to soak in. FYI, the bathroom is downstairs, the bed is upstairs, making a late-night trip to the restroom a little difficult. It rained on us, so we couldn't use the fire pit, but it looked like it would have been nice. the dogs came by to say hi and were very sweet. Showers were nice and hot. the lights in the bathroom also turned on the fan, so it was quite loud. The kitchen was nice. working appliances, nice pans, mugs, cups, plates, etc. The location was only 10 min to dripping springs and very easy to get in and out of. I loved the seclution and peaceful area. I didn't like (my fault for not thinking about it) that the bed was on the loft and the restroom was downstairs....my wife twisted her ankle coming down the stairs in the dark. All in all, it is a really nice place. Thank you for letting us stay. Perhaps add some glow-in-the-dark tape to the steps to help in the dark. :)
We absolutely loved our stay at Hill Country Cabin!!! It’s a beautiful quiet place to sit back and enjoy the beautiful things in this world again, that we tend to forgot about in our everyday life. It was an amazing way to spend our anniversary! Oh and the owners doggies that come visit are the sweetest things and really love belly rubs!!! Will definitely stay again!!!
Wir waren Anfang selfie in dieser Hütte und es war einfach nir schön. Die Vermieterin durften wir leider nicht kennenlernen, schade, aber das zeigt auch wieviel Privatsphäre man hier hat. Wir kommen wieder!
Loved the cabin!!! When we arrived, we were greeted by the welcoming committee, the friendliest dogs. I believe this was my daughter’s favorite part. I enjoyed the front porch rocking chairs. I could sit out there for hours and do nothing. The cabin
Highly recommend this charming cabin for a secluded couples getaway. It’s 10 minutes from wineries/breweries and 20 min from Wimberley. The host lives a minute or two from the cabin but it is very private. There are yummy muffins, a Keurig coffee maker, and a well appointed kitchen. We used the stove and microwave. We couldn’t figure out how to drain the bathroom sink stopper (push down on the drain cover and it pops up) and Tricia brought her plumber in asap, but other than that, no issues. WiFi is excellent, we didn’t need to bring any cookware. There are basic shower toiletries, towels and robes (the shower is small but has nice pressure and gets hot immediately). The bed is upstairs in the loft and it was stuffy in the 90 F afternoon heat but there is a fan and it did cool down nicely overnight. There are no curtains on the windows so bring an eye mask if you are sensitive to light. The bed itself is super luxe. The rest of the cabin was kept very comfortably cool. Hot tub was great and there is a nice hammock but it was a little too sunny/hot to hang out in for too long at this time of year. Overall, this place was exactly what we were looking for and we would absolutely return.
Fabulous getaway spot! The place was very clean and private. The dogs were great to just have around, so friendly. Everything was very nice and pictures are spot on!
We loved everything about this cozy cabin! We hated to leave. The owner was very sweet and her animals were precious! Thanks for having us, we’ll be back soon!!
It was a wonderful stay. Complete privacy, no contact check-in or out. The owner’s dogs visited us every morning, whining at the front door to be let inside. Such playful and gentle companionship on our honeymoon staying there. The host provided us with robes, homemade muffins, and lots of firewood. We were both very impressed and our mouths were open when we stepped foot inside. It had such a peaceful atmosphere and a calming sensation with all of the places to relax: hot tub, large stone shower, four poster bed, a twin bed, and lots of chairs. We were sad to leave. But we will come back again soon. A beautiful place to stay. Well worth the money, to be led back into the past with history and antique decorations.
Lovely!
