About this property

This is a custom ( construction completed in September 2018), fully furnished 500 square foot cottage situated 2 miles north of downtown Gunnison, on 1.3 acres of private property on the Gunnison river, with private fishing and boating access during the summer season. A beautiful quite piece of paradise on a paved dead end county road. Property is a .5 mile walk to RTA bus stop ( free bus to Crested Butte and Gunnison) and bike path to town at the end of the road. we also have town bikes for you to use during your stay! There is also a park and ride stop 1 mile away, a great way to ski CB! Private driveway and parking, plenty of room for your trailers and toys! There is a shed for your bikes and skis. We live next door and are available if you need us. One month rentals are subject to a $175 cleaning fee.

Gunnison cottage

Beautifully constructed guest cottage, with great natural light, and views of gorgeous old cottonwoods out almost every window. The place was very clean and Karah is great to deal with if questions. So much incredible outdoor recreation in the area and the cottage is a wonderful place to return to. Looking forward to booking again.

beautiful getaway

Property is a beautiful quiet getaway just outside of town on the Gunnison River, in walking distance to Garlic Mikes. This was my second stay and it did not disappoint. Clean and modern appliances. A quiet retreat when I visit family.

Great home in a lovely setting

We were very impressed with this home, it's small and mighty! There was literally everything we needed in the home with kitchen items, furniture, bedding, bathroom items and more! Fall Magic

We were in town for an event and had a wonderful stay at this property. The check-in process was so easy and smooth (the door was left open upon on arrival and a key was easily accessible via an outside lock box). We were welcomed with a sweet personalized chalkboard message and treat tray, complete with jerky treats for our dog. The property is absolutely beautiful and nestled along the river at the end of a quite county road. Our dog enjoyed endless hours of frisbee and fetch in the spacious yard, and we enjoyed exploring the whimsical tepee/cabin and other fun items throughout the property. The rental cabin itself was spacious and well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Fall is a beautiful time to visit as the trees on the property were absolutely stunning. We can't wait to come back again!

Great for dogs & nature lovers!

Gus's cabin is a great property! Big yard with lots of room for dogs to run. Plus access to Gunnison River. Last but not least, the cabin is very nicely done. Everything that you would need with lots of extras which were greatly appreciated. 💐🍬 Thanks again Karah! P.S. The teepee in the backyard is adorable!

A Comfortable Stay for our Getaway

Great spot!

This is the second time I've had a parent stay here and it was equally as well received as the last time. The property is spacious, cozy, clean and secluded, and really made my family feel like they were truly on vacation while still having access to their grandkids. Karah is a wonderful host and does a great job all around. This spot is highly recommended!

Clean, well-equipped tiny cabin on the river

I loved this cabin. I never needed anything that wasn't already there. Karah and Bob were lovely hosts, and made sure I had a great stay. Location to town was great, and location to biking and walking trails was very convenient. I'll come back!

Outdoor paradise

Property was very peaceful and quiet. The cottage had amazing craftsmanship. Clean and convenient, with everything u need for a weeks stay. Karah was nice enough to round up some fishing gear for us to play around in the river. Beautiful setting.

Golden fall on the banks of the Gunnison river.

We had a wonderful relaxing time at the cabin. Our dog loved the open area and room to play.. Enjoyed sitting by the river and around the campfire. Great location for adventuring out into the mountains.

Love this place!

This was our second stay at this property, and I can't say enough good things about it. The cabin is so clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The outdoor space is great; they even had a disc golf basket and assorted discs which we got a lot of use out of. We definitely plan to book another stay!

Peaceful setting in newer cabin

Property owners very friendly. Pretty setting under cottonwood trees with access to Gunnison River. Cabin was tastefully decorated with perfect space for two people and their dog. Loved outdoors - occasionally chased inside by mosquitoes but that was expected at river property. Easy access to Gunnison and nearby attractions.

My husband and I have lived in the Gunnison valley since 1991. He is a master carpenter and I have a "tiny" hair salon on the property. I also teach yoga and DJ on our community radio station. We love the outdoors and just chilling out.
