Excellent Stay

I cannot say enough good things about our stay. The house was huge, clean, had all the items we needed. The game room was great for the kids and adults. Close to the beach, golf cart was handy! Owners were very on top of things!

I did not realize this was a shared Beach duplex so i wasnt sure about spacing, parking & privacy but we ended up having the best time. So convenient on a Public Beach access! I would definitely book again but maybe rent both sides next time. ...

Great 90th Birthday Celebration Weekend

From the moment we contacted the owners till we left, nothing by positive vibes. We had 2 couples and one son with his 18 year old daughter and 2 nieces staying with us. A brother with his wife stayed at a local hotel and 3 nephews and a niece rented another house. Our house became the focal point with the beach a block away with the golf cart to tote all the beach stuff. The hockey and NBA playoffs were underway so the tv in the play room was used at night for the entire crew with pool games and foosball games going on as well. The heated pool was used every afternoon. All the rooms and en-suite bathrooms are good size. Kitchen is well equipped and the living room is quite comfortable. The balconies with views of the ocean got lots of use. The best breakfast place was Blueberries and the best dinner was Sea Captains. Everyone in our group loved the house and its proximity to the beach and good/great restaurants. I highly recommend Soggy Dollar 1.

Great Family Spot

This house was very clean and well suited our family needs perfectly. I loved the ample bedrooms and bathrooms and the spacious game room. The dining table accommodated our large group for meals and game time. We had the pool heated for 3 days during the Thanksgiving holiday and was able to enjoy it for 2 days. The kitchen was well stocked and organized and the supplies were readily available (the 2nd refrigerator was much appreciated during this visit!) I have 2 disabled family members that utilized the convenience of the elevator. We really enjoyed our time together. Bryan and Elayne are excellent property managers and responded to our communications quickly.

Family Reunion

This house was perfect for our family reunion. We had ages 4-68, we had plenty of room to gather together or have some private time. The owners were quick to answer questions before and during our visit. The golf cart that is offered with house was handy in transporting our beach gear to and from the beach. Would highly recommend this house.

Family vacation 2023

Property was exactly as described and worked great for our party of 12 adults and 6 active children. We had a wonderful family vacation. The huge dining table made for memorable meals together. The arcade game, pool table and pool kept the kids and the adults entertained alike. Use of the golf cart made trekking to the beach with all the gear required for children obsolete, we even used it to shuttle everyone.

Great Place to Stay

Soggy Dollar was a perfect house for our family of 18, ages ranging from 2-62. The huge kitchen was well stocked and perfect for making meals for a crowd. There were plenty of spacious bedrooms, most with attached bathrooms. The pool got a lot of use and the beach was a short walk away. Having a golf cart to get around was an added bonus. The porches were a favorite spot for reading, talking or just enjoying each other! I can’t say enough about how easy and nice communication was with the owners. Any message I sent was answered within an hour. And Brian even stopped by a few times to check if we needed anything. If ever we’re back in the Myrtle Beach area, we will definitely stay here!

Great Place to stay!!

This was our first trip traveling to Myrtle Beach with our second family whom we love so much. Hurricane Ian couldn't stop us from having a great time. Brian and Elayne are both great people, they kept in contact with us prior to the storm approaching to let us know what the weather was like before we traveled to South Carolina. This location is not in a flood zone even though it's so close to the beach. They ensured us that we could even change our reservation if needed however we were already on the road with expectation of having a great time. This property was everything that we expected and more. To see the look on one of my guys face when he seen the game room with a Pool table & Foosball table was priceless. Not to mention the elevator due to one of my little fellow who sits in a wheelchair. This home was perfect. Spacious with plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms. You can see the beach from the balcony from the bedrooms. The extra amenities like the pool, golf cart exceeded our expectations. When the storm passed we enjoyed the proximity of the beach and knowing that once we got to the beach we were able to park the golf carts. Any and everything that we needed was already in the home trash bags, toilet paper, dishwashing liquid as well as bed linens were all a plus! When calling the owners they responded quickly to answer any questions we had. I also would recommend that you try the Goodfellas Seafood Restaurant very sweet people at this establishment the food was also good! To Our Host Brain and Elayne (Soggy Dollar) I want to say THANK YOU for making our first vacation memorable. We will definitely be renting again as long as this property is available.

Great family vacation home!

Our multigenerational family had a wonderful stay at Soggy Dollar I. There was ample room for all of us and the kitchen is well stocked. We all enjoyed the game room and loved the salt water pool. The walk to the beach was minimal and doable for all of us. The elevator and golf cart were added bonuses, especially for the older generation. Brian is a very responsive host and we would highly recommend this home for your next family vacation!

Soggy Dollar I Satisfaction

The house is located very conveniently to the beach -- a very short walk in a nice neighborhood -- and is an easy driving distance from restaurants, shopping, and other activities. It was the cleanest house we've ever stayed, and the spacious bedrooms with multiple kin beds were appreciated. The owners were very responsive to a minor need and were extremely pleasant to deal with.

Loved Every Minute

The house was perfect for our family reunion! Being that there were 5 families (12 people total), the main floor provided a perfect gathering spot for meals and hanging out. We loved that the kitchen table had seating for 12 people (with additional counter space). We ate several meals at the house so the fact that the kitchen had plenty of dishes, pots, utensils, etc. was very beneficial! We absolutely loved the pool for a late afternoon volleyball game since the beach was too windy for any ball sports. We were there for 1 week so the house was also spacious enough for each family to have their our own personal space when we needed it. The game room on the first floor was perfect for the teens to hang out late at night playing video games, pool and fuse ball. (The adults enjoyed it too.) We all enjoyed the decks where could see the ocean and enjoyed a cup of coffee as family slowly woke up. This house is unique that each room has a twin bed and a king or queen bed. Plus, there are 6 1/2 bathrooms where each family had their own space to make it their own. The golf cart was helpful to carry items to the beach and explore the area. Lastly, the house is managed by the owners so they responded quickly to any questions we had. We LOVED this house and would recommend it time after time!

Awesome Thanksgiving with family.

The property was great and my family enjoyed the game room tremendously. Everyone had their own bathroom and then some. Great water views from the balconies. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Family Stay

Owners were very responsive and courteous and made sure we had everything we needed. House was clean and in great condition. The only surprise is how close the house really is to the beach. It’s so close! The pictures and maps make it seem a bit further than it is when it’s so close you can see and hear the waves from the decks. The house was also very spacious. We had 13 people and never felt like we were on top of each other. So glad we booked this house for our stay!

Perfect Stay with Great Amenities!

Property is perfectly located short distance from the beach. Enjoyed having coffee on the shaded balcony in the mornings with great views. We were a family of 14 with mixed age groups and everyone had a fabulous time! We did not feel crowded at all as the place feels larger than what's represented in the pictures. The hosts Brian and Elayne were super nice and would recommend their services without a doubt!

Great Family Vaca

We enjoyed our vacation in NMB. The property was perfect for our large group (19). The proximity to the beach was so nice with kids. The rental was bigger than expected and the powder room on the main level and extra bathroom on the bottom level were nice to have. Communication with the owners was easy. The pool which was 3ft to 5ft was great for when the little ones got tired of the beach. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could ever need. This is the place to stay in NMB for large families or groups!

Best place ever for a big family!

This was the best place we’ve ever stayed at while in Myrtle Beach! There is so much room for everyone to have their own space yet also plenty of room to gather together. The pool, golf cart, game room and elevator was an extra bonus and Brian and Elayne were so nice to deal with! The property had absolutely everything you’d need while on vacation! I can’t wait to go back!!

Beautiful, well appointed , close to the beach

The 9 family members that stayed at this house LOVED IT. The house was clean and having. the bedding provided as well toilet paper and cleaning items was immensely helpful. The attention to detail down to the pictures on the walls were wonderful. The pool was great and we used it every day. The beach is 1 block away but you can see it from the balconies. The neighborhood is quiet and close to stores and restaurants. Enjoyed this house!!

A place to return again!

The place is everything a family is looking for. Great owner communication and service. House is spacious for large families with something to do for all ages. Close walk to beach in quiet North Myrtle Beach. Definitely a place for a return vacation. Thank You “Soggy Dollar”!!

Very roomy

Family Getaway

OMG!!! This property was spectacular. The description and pictures were spot on. The house was equipped with any and everything needed to enjoy a lovely family getaway. I must say the private pool, game room, golf cart, and elevator were an added bonus that made it much easier to enjoy ourselves. Family vacation

Our group of 11 enjoyed our vacation and the property. Everything was wonderful with enough room for all of us! We loved the game room area, and worked nice when the kids were asleep! Having the golf cart was a plus to haul everything to the beach and back. We want to come back again!! The owner and property manager were prompt and very kind.
