Was a good little cabin! Loved the location, only complaint i have is the water heater was so small you could only get maybe 15 minutes of warm water for showering and it took many hours for it to build up again for the next person to shower.
We wanted a quiet and off the grid week getaway. We stayed the 1st week in October. The trees had full beautiful autumn colors and there was a smell of fall in the air. We enjoyed several evening bonfires. Bonfire 🔥

Excellent stay and property - easy check in and out. Extremely private and quiet on a holiday weekend. Will definitely book this spot with this host again.
This is indeed a quiet cabin in the woods. The driveway isn't overly long but does have a few twists and turns that hides the cabin from the road. The driveway was well-plowed and there was plenty of room to park multiple vehicles and back up/turn around. You can see a neighboring place off to the right of the cabin, but it didn't affect the quiet, peaceful atmosphere. There was quite a bit of snow, so we didn't explore the 10 acres of the property at all. Plus, no guidelines on property lines were given by the owners and we didn't want to trespass accidently. We hiked at Banning State Park instead and the trails and view of Kettle River are beautiful in the winter. Back at the cabin, we saw quite a few deer passing very close by which was fun.
The cabin itself was clean and comfortable. The queen bed had a mattress topper (which was appreciated!) and the living room furniture was comfy. In addition to the electric fireplace, there was 2 portable heaters that kept the cabin plenty warm. Of note, however, there is a a significant gap around the door leading outside that lets plenty of cold air into the cabin and keeps the entryway pretty cool. In the warmer months, I think bugs could easily become a problem if not addressed. Also, there is no deadbolt on the door, and with the door not being tight to the frame it would be really easy to jimmy it open with a credit card. We didn't feel unsafe though. Another thing to note were the gaps between wooden slats on the inside walls because in some places you can see insulation or even right through the wall. It wouldn't have even been noteworthy except that there is a spot where you can see straight into the kitchen from the bathroom when you're sitting on the toilet. It's not in a super obvious spot or a very big gap, but it still affects the feeling of bathroom privacy. Lastly, something to be aware of is the limited hot water supply. There was about 2-3 minutes worth of hot water while showering before it started cooling off pretty quickly.
Check in and out was super easy and hassle free. The owner actually let us check-in anytime we wanted the day-of, which was super nice! I only had to message the owner once prior to arriving, and she responded quickly.
