Come discover old Florida at its finest! This newly renovated 2 bedroom 1 bath cottage is located on the St. John’s River near Osteen, Florida. You'll experience peaceful days on the water in this cottage located on a dead end one lane road. Large open floor plan for easy living - living room, dining room and kitchen with island. Fully equipped kitchen for those days you simply want to stay in. Public boat ramp is a short distance down the road, so bring your boat, kayak or canoe and moor it at the cottage's private dock. Perfect spot to enjoy coffee and sunrises or cocktails and sunsets from the screen porch, outside patio or dock. Central air conditioning and new full size washer/dryer to make your stay comfortable. 20 minutes from Historic Downtown Sanford and the Orlando/Sanford International Airport and 35 minutes from New Smyrna Beach

Great Getaway

Wayne’s place is the perfect retreat! It’s quiet and peaceful! We enjoyed the peaceful mornings and evenings just sitting on the dock watching the river. We would 100% stay again!

Perfect getaway

Loved this cottage on the river. Great fishing, very kind community. My husband and I just wanted a place away from it all! The beds were wonderful.

Great get away

Away from all the busy traffic in a quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed meals on the screened porch, after cooking in a fully equipped kitchen (thank you). Morning coffee on the dock at sunrise, enjoying the peaceful river, watching the wildlife, where we also spent most of our evenings. Host was quick to respond to a small issue. Looking forward to booking this little getaway again.

Great Little Getaway

What a place. The scenery was absolutely beautiful as the property is located on the St. Johns River. The house was tastefully decorated and provided all the necessities for an enjoyable stay. Very close to Historic Sandford which was a great for shops and restaurants. We look forward to a return visit!!!!!

Cottage on the water

My husband and I absolutely loved this cottage! Quiet location on the water to relax. It was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed, including fishing poles for my husband to fish off of the dock. The kitchen had everything needed to make our dinners...better than most places we have rented. When in the area again, we will most certainly rent this cottage. Lemon Bluff get-away

Met all our expectations. Secluded but not desolute. Lots of nice restautants in Sanford. Thanks for the coffee. Relaxing, welcoming ,cozy place to chill out along the river. We saw a manatee swim past our dock.

Quiet on the river

Third or fourth visit to the Cottage on the River. I think that says it all. Reasonable fishing this year, cracking sunrises with fresh coffee to hand, late evening flypasts of the egrets and their cousins heading to roost. Plenty of birdlife but very few gators although we may have seen some if we could have made it across to the far side of the river. The big gentle manatees pass by slowly just like life on the river. Time for reflection.

The cabin was exactly as shown online, well with the exception of having 2 stools that were perfect and the table outback on the porch was now located beside the door. I was also very comfortable and felt safe. Will be scheduling another stay soon!

Cute remodeled fishing cottage

Very relaxing stay. Sunrise views across the St John’s to the wildlife preserve were incredible. Very well equipped from the kitchen to outside seating. Plenty of parking for cars and boat trailer. We’d rent again.

Perfect Spot

Convenient to Boombah Complex

Thanksgiving get-away

The cabin was lovely, and we enjoyed having our coffee out on the boat deck. We used the firepit two nights, thank you for having a supply of firewood. The kitchen was well equipped for us to bake our deserts.

Loved the little house on Lemon Bluff Rd.

We loved this space! Having just seen Where the Crawdads Sing I felt like I had rented my very own marsh cabin. My mom, son and myself all enjoyed the tranquility of the riverhouse. The houses on Lemon Bluff are nestled closely together but you still feel like you're a world away. Wildlife was abundant including the manatees which were such a treat! The cabin was nicely appointed with all of the kitchen essentials needed to prepare meals and when we wanted a break Osteen diner was down home cooking at its best. We spent an afternoon at Gators riverside listening to live music which was a real treat. A day trip to Blue Springs state park is a must. Also do not miss out on the French fan pastries from Publix! Would 10/10 recommend the property and hope to return ourselves.

Best Stay Ever!!

I cannot say enough about this property. It was Beautiful. Comfortable. Perfect. Adorable and just right for our family of 3. We loved fishing off the dock. Watching the boats go by and enjoying the screened in porch. Kitchen is more than adequately equipped. Bedrooms are small but the beds are sooo comfortable. Bathroom is tiny, but does it’s job. Wayne is more than helpful with anything you need and neighbors were so nice. Close enough proximity to stores and restaurants and just a small drive to the beach. Perfect if in town for baseball at Boombah as we were. We will definitely be back.

Osteen FL cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was charming and comfortable. The host was very responsive whenever we needed to contact him. The only reason I gave the accuracy of the listing a good instead of excellent is because we brought our boat and was told we could dock it right at the owners dock. But the water is too shallow there. Also the picture of the bathroom does not show the shower and how small it is. But overall, we were really happy with it. We will be back.

Been there, done it.......again.

This is our third visit to this property on Lemon Bluff so it must be good. Inside everything you need is there from the well- equipped spacious kitchen, the huge dining table, comfortable seating and the rather large television with all the channels you can possibly need to the very comfortable beds, smallish but perfectly adequate bathroom, games and books on the local area, Outside the dock was our favourite area. Occupied all day and part of the night. Plenty to do and see there. Birds, boats, deer on the far side, gators on this side. Fishing is good from panfish to gar and catfish to about 10lbs (at night). Manatees pass by everyday so keep an eye open for them. An evening around the firepit with a beer and some nibbles (not smores ot marshmallows!!) is most relaxing. Paddling in the kayaks is fun but time passes by really quickly when on the river! So much to do and so little time - that's why we'll be back.

Perfect Staycation

We rented the river cottage for an extended weekend. It was easy to locate, we conveniently parked next to the cottage and we did not have any trouble accessing the home. The decorations are very cute and all of the little extras were greatly appreciated. We met the neighbors next door and they were very friendly. Sitting on the dock at the days end was our favorite. Wayne was an attentive host and we really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect change of scenery.

An ideal getaway for us. Just relaxing and reading for myself and my husband is perfectly content fishing the day away. This was our third visit to the cottage...it does not disappoint. We look forward to returning.
