Welcome to Destin West Gulfside #411! My name is Frank and I am the owner of this great beach condo. I will be your host for this wonderful vacation property. This very nice beach condo is a 1 bedroom + 1 bunk room and 2 full bath. This beach condo is located in the Gulfside building at Destin West Beach and Bay Resort. The resort has direct beach access, many pools, hot tubs, and a lazy river. This condo provides a great view of the beach, pool, sunsets, and the city! This is a great vacation destination.

I am dedicated to providing my guests excellent service and a nice vacation rental. With this vacation rental you receive a very comfortable and nicely decorated unit. To help improve your stay we provide extra housekeeping amenities not typically found with other rentals such as beach towels, laundry detergent, bath soaps, keurig w/ starter pods, and more. I look forward to receiving your reservation and hosting your group for a beach trip!

Rentals of jet skis, kayaks, and boogie boards are available on the beach located in front of the resort during the day. Pontoon boat rentals available across the street. You are also within walking distance or short drive away from many restaurants, grocery store, and activities on Okaloosa Island and Destin.

The convenience of this condo right off the 4th floor elevator was very nice. Large couch, and beautiful decor. Much needed relaxation on the deck with amazing beach patio furniture, just right for morning coffee or evening tacos. We had a great time.

Terrific Location.
There were a few hiccups upon arrival however they were soon rectified very promptly. Nice condo and terrific location. We enjoyed use of all the facilities and appreciated the short distance to the beach and all its amenities. Pools were great and facilities well maintained. Would book again with owner/manager due to the promptness and excellent location.

Things I wish I’d known before booking this condo
This was our family’s first vacation to the Destin area. Property was in a great location in Ft Walton. All communications from the property manager were thorough to ensure that we knew how to access the condo, etc. We are a family of four including two kids (age 8 and 11). Here are some things we encountered that I wish we’d known before booking as we won’t be staying in this condo again…the condo is adjacent to the elevator. On our first night in the condo, there was a lot of noise from people getting on and off. Additionally there is no one to call and appeared to be no security on the gulf side of the property so we had to listen to this very late at night. The master bedroom is at the very front of the condo near the front door. So, all of the hallway noise - you hear it laying in bed at night. The bunk bedroom has no closet or storage. The bunk beds fit our children, but their suitcases and stuff ended up in the living room or other places around the condo. On our first morning in the condo, we encountered an issue with several gnats in the kitchen and a roach was in a cabinet. I reached out to the local contact provided. Kim came later in the afternoon and looked around the kitchen, poured a solution down the sink, and said she would call the exterminator. We didn’t hear anything else the rest of the week. The balcony has no wall to right so you’ll see your neighbors. If we stay at the property again we’ll stay bayside as it is much newer and the pools are much nicer.

We've been coming to Destin west for 8 years. The rooms never disappoint and the beach is beautiful and private! The staff is friendly and the location is perfect. We will be back next year for sure!

It’s a nice and convenient condo. Communication was great. The washer machine is crazy loud. Just need a good bleach cleaning in the grout in showers. Everything was very clean

Perfect location! Great view of the beach but just around the corner from the elevator and parking garage. The unit was spotless and very well furnished. We took advantage of the bunk room and the twin ottoman beds in the living room! All around a very enjoyable experience!

Wow, what a beautiful condo! We just stayed last week during some really windy, chilly days but we still enjoyed it. We will definitely be back again! It was just perfect except for a few minor things. Cons: The king bed is not so comfortable and both shower water drains slowly (understandable since it is on the 4th floor and many other condos using water) The elevator took FOREVER. Pros: We were so comfortable that it makes me want to buy one now. Lol Perfect view from the balcony. Coffee every morning on it. Very kid friendly. We had a 13 yr old, 7 yr old, and 1 year old and I felt like it was super safe for them. Clean and comfortable. Easy access to ALL the pools. Nice walk over crosswalk to bayside to enjoy other amenities. My baby boy loved the little kiddy area on the walk there. Easy walk to the Boardwalk which we love! Lots to do in just this area and you can walk. Gulfarium, Wild Willys Adventure, Grand Prix go-carts, The Boardwalk, beautiful beaches, lots of yummy restaurants! We will definitely be booking again!

Great Condo complex
This condo complex is great. Many different pools and hot tubs between the 2 main complexes (use over road walkway between the two). Direct access to the beach. Close to Destin without being in the congestion. The condo was nice and perfect for a family of 4. Easy check in, convenient parking. Patio on the condo is great for watching the ocean or pool. Only cons were the mattresses and creaky king bed and only having 1 hanger in the closet. We’d have no issue staying here again

The Bad: Both showers drain slowly. You stand in several inches of water. King bed not that comfortable. The Good: Ocean view, overlooks pool, plenty of seating, beach chairs and towels were included. Destin West property, not the unit itself: needs to be updated, looking old. Lazy river water was gross and everything around the lazy river just seemed old and dirty.

Great view!!! There are several choices for water activities to keep everyone busy. Very attentive staff while addressing a couple issues with a/c and washer. Only negative was using the included chair rental. You have to stand in line everyday to get your rental and if you want the front row to see the water be ready to get up at 7am and wait in line til 9 when they open. Chairs/ umbrella are crammed together and make it difficult to access the water. Rental agents are not accommodating to let you reserve rentals for the whole week. You must wait in line every day. Positive- There is a small area to set up your own beach equipment but this also fills up early and of course there is a battle for each square foot of sand. There is also a public beach a short walk to the east if you want to spread out more. The kitchen is nice with all supplies needed and we enjoyed the balcony views. Our family enjoyed the pools and there is a lot to do on the property and nearby (walking distance).

Lovely condo at Destin West
We had a lovely time staying at Destin West. This was our second time at the resort and will definitely return! This particular condo was great: clean, well decorated, fun bunk room for our kids, great view of the beach. The resort amenities are diverse and offer lots of options for entertainment, and the beach service was the best. Can’t wait to return!!

Loved our stay!
This place is spotless, has a gorgeous view of the beach and a good sized balcony. The pools are well maintained and the lazy river is very relaxing. A quick stroll to the beach and you are within 5 minutes of multiple restaurants and activities. We loved our stay and will return again!

I immediately started a complete renovation project after purchasing and turned this condo into a very nice beach vacation rental. I have continued to maintain and upgrade the property through the years. I want to offer you a nicely decorated unit and a comfortable stay during your visit to Destin West Resort. Why they chose this property

The Destin West Beach and Bay Resort is a premiere choice. Being on Okaloosa Island, it is a much better location than the nearby Destin area. You get access to the same beach and amenities of the surrounding area, but without the huge crowds on the streets and on the beach. This location puts you between the cities of Destin and Ft Walton Beach. You have access to all the same activities, restaurants, and beaches. I find the location to be superb and the view is spectacular from this condo.
