The property is absolutely beautiful! The owners have taken the time to decorate and ensure all the comforts are available. We were visiting the area for the Christian Motorcycle Association's Colors. The only drawback was that this location turned out to be a little far away from Iron Mountain for us to easily participate in all planned activities with the drive back and forth.
This cabin is perfectly placed near some great trails. We are excited to come back and bring friends as well to use the cabin next door on the property. Host was super responsive and very helpful.
This was a wonderful cabin in the magnificent Ouachita National Forest. Beautiful location. Very quiet. We enjoyed the fire pit. Accommodations were clean and comfortable. Plenty of kitchen gear.
Thibodeau’s Country Store nearby (2miles away, go east on 80, turn right on 375/64) is a market and restaurant. Open Thursday-Saturday.
We stayed two nights in this cozy cabin nestled in the trees. It had everything we needed for our stay including plenty of towels, cookware, and dishes. It was clean and beautiful inside and out. The outdoor areas have lighting to cook your dinner on the grill and chopped wood for the fire pit. The trails were very close by. We rode our side by side all day and took in some gorgeous scenery. There is a small service station very close that serves good food and carries supplies for atv riders. Be advised, this is a dry county so come prepared! We loved our stay and we will be back. Thank you to the owners for being so helpful and responsive!
Coffee in the morning? They have a Keurig. Cooking and or grilling in the evening? Gas and charcoal grill as well as oven. Sitting by the fire at night? Wood and fire pit available.
Awesome Cabins/Ample Amenities for Families/Groups
This was everything our family could ask for and more; From the fully furnished kitchen/bathroom/games indoors to the grills/firepit/outdoor gazebo and porches/outdoor games, we definitely took advantage of the cabin. We also loved the convenience to Wolf Pen Gap trails w/ Eagle Mountain trail right down the road. A new store just a couple miles from the cabins opened up the same weekend we stayed as well. Highly Impressed. Thanks, Lisa!
The cabin was exactly the remote getaway we were looking for. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for the weekend. The property was well-maintained — we enjoyed making s'mores around the fire pit and eating under the pavilion (and were so grateful for the fans and lights there too).
The one tiny thing I would ask for is curtains or shades over the bed, but we managed to darken the loft area with a bath towel and a little duct tape. :)
Lisa was absolutely lovely. She was friendly, responsive and had great info for us about hiking trails. Would definitely recommend this place and would definitely stay here again.
The owner (Lisa) was so amazing and attentive to all our inquiries. She recommended Oden kayaking which was a great time as well as Wolf Pen Gap. We enjoyed the gazebo. The cabins were very clean and close to the trails. We will be back!! Thanks Lisa for our stay.
We loved the property! My husband & I took our 15 year old for the weekend and had the best relaxing, family bonding time! We are already talking about planning our next trip! Lisa was wonderful throughout the booking and stay! We are thankful to have had the opportunity to stay at such a wonderful place! It was exactly what our family needed!
From the beginning to end of our trip it was just perfect. Lisa communicated with us and provided a perfect experience. The cabin was CLEAN and fully stocked with the basics. This place is surrounded by wildlife and is perfect for a quiet getaway. We plan on returning with our kids and grandkids so they can experience this property thats tucked out in the woods. Thanks lisa for a wonderful experience the Kennedy's will be back.
Lisa's cabin was wonderful - just the peace and quiet we wanted plus great amenities. Lisa is a super host - informative and helpful. We would love to take our children and grands back some time.
Awesome cabin with great amenities. Just 1 Mike from Wolfpen south trailhead and close to several other great sites. Would love to stay here again. Great set up!
This cabin has everything needed for a great stay. It is very clean and easy access to the trials. We enjoyed the firepit after a long days ride and sat around the covered area with friends. Our next time to Wolf Pen Gap this is the place we will be staying. The owner is nice and makes sure you have everything needed for a great stay.
What a great cabin and host. Cabin has everything you need and spotless. The outdoor fire pit, Barbecue grills (gas or charcoal) and the pavilion area with great rocking chairs were awesome. It can be a bit hot in the upstairs for sleeping, but there are multiple fans and we cracked the windows as it was around 60 at night. I’m not sure how that will work out during the heat of the summer. Great cabin otherwise.
This cabin was amazing to stay at! My husband and I booked it the week of the weekend we were planning on staying. We knew basically nothing about the area & Lisa was so kind to tell us about a few things that would be great to enjoy. We took our mountain bikes & found an amazing gravel climb with the most spectacular views right by the cabin! It was spacious & perfect for just the two of us. We would even love to bring some friends or family down & rent out both cabins next time! The perfect little retreat spot! There were other people at the other cabin while we were there but it was no big deal. We did our thing & they did theirs! The only thing I would say in staying here is to bring your own water or water filter pitcher. The water tasted pretty weird but it wasn’t a big deal at all & didn’t take anything out of the experience for us! 10/10 stay for sure!! You won’t regret booking this cabin!
Beautiful property that exceeded our expectations. Perfect location, quiet and lovingly cared for. This was my wife and I's 30th wedding anniversary and we could not have found a better place to celebrate it! Thanks so much!
