Great place to stay!!

This cabin was amazing and very clean! Hot tub was great. Cabin is only about 15 minutes from town and there is a DG about 2 minutes away. We stayed 9 days and it was great! I will definitely be back when in this area. Thank you for sharing your cute cabin with us!!!

Nice quiet place!

We were quite pleased with the cabin. They accommodated our dogs who enjoyed the pond right out the back door. It was clean, quiet, close enough to the things we wanted to do, and isolated enough to get away from crowds and noise. My rating would be a 5-star but for the fan in the main room that needs to be rebalanced - it clanked constantly.

Beautiful and peaceful cabin

The cabin is very clean and comfortable. The property was very nice. We loved the little pond which had several turtles that basked on a log most of the day. It worked out great for the four of us (my husband and I, our adult daughter and my 86 year old father.) The stairs to the second floor were steep, so dad used one of the bedrooms on the first floor. The Wi-Fi worked great, the kitchen was well stocked, but could use a few more glasses. The hot tub was a little cool when we first arrived, but we were able to bump up the temp a few degrees and enjoyed it both nights. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. We really enjoyed our time here and would stay again if we are ever back in the area.

Ok cabin

Cabin was not far from most things we wanted to do in both pigeon forge and gatlinburg. For a bigger party of people the cabin seemed a little cramped. Cabin could use a little updating on the mattress.

Beautiful property but very dirty

Property was beautiful but it was extremely dirty. Spent the first afternoon cleaning the cabin, then on day 2 found out the hot tub had brown frothy water. Had to drain it, disinfect it and refill it. Was very displeased with the overall experience.

Nice dog friendly rental

The water was clay colored and had stuff floating in it By day 2 it was clear but no way i would drink it and i was a little worried giving it to my dog. The hot tub had dirty water and wasnt running when we arrived.. we were pretty disappointed in that. The back porch is lovely.. in the dead of summer that porch stayed so cool from all the tree covering the house and a covered porch. Price point was good ..the house was nice. Very private back porch.. Overall we enjoyed our stay

Nice house but a few issues.

On arrival there was an open bag of chips in one of the rooms and small black ants in the kitchen. other than that the house is great looking. The hot tub not working was definitely annoying for my family. We arrived on the 13th and it was running already and said 85 degrees, so we left it running. The temp never rose and I attempted to contact VRBO on the 14th and was told that since the owners did a different platform I was basically out of luck with VRBO. Later that day on the 14th it was at 91 degrees finally since running before our arrival. I contacted vacasa and was initially told by the representative that the hot tubs were set to 85 degrees automatically. The next day on the 15th later that afternoon a nice gentleman arrived and by then since it had continued to stay running it finally reached 104 degrees after "warming up" for days and he said it was because the setting was wrong and set it to filter every 4 hours, which I do not believe will fix the issue. My daughters only used it the final night and we left the morning of the 16th.

Friendly Bear Cabin

Hot Tub was brown and slimy, roaches in the kitchen and bathroom, shower curtain and tub was brown and nasty! (Had to take the shower curtain down and wash)... The entire house had not been cleaned in months. There was no creek or river beside the house. Was just a mosquito hole with water runoff! On the up side...it was a very private location. Would not recommend this cabin to anyone.

Unsatisfied

The main reason for staying at the cabin was for the hot tube and unfortunately we didn’t need to get to use it. It was dirty I reach out to someone about the problem, but never got it resolved.

This cabin was a disaster. There were 9 crushed up beer cans in the fire pit that we had to clean out to use. The hot tub water is filthy. I don't think it's been drained and cleaned in a long time. There is literally an oily film on the water. The dryer does not work and we found that out after we had washed a load of clothes. We ended up having to hang the clothes out to dry on the deck. There bathroom upstairs had hair in the tub. There was a long brown hair frozen into my ice cube that was in the freezer. Gross. There are dust bunnies in the corner of pretty much every room on the ceiling. There are four remotes for the TV but only one actually works for the channels but doesn't actually work for the tv. Most of the dishes are dirty in the cabinet. The coffee filter insert is missing and no coffee filters are provided so that was a fun morning. We had to clean a lot. We tried to get the dryer to work after we washed a load of clothes but gave up. This cabin was really disappointing. No one wants to spend vacation waiting on people to come out to fix issues that shouldn’t even be issues. This was a complete waste of a lot of money. There are so many better options available to stay at.

Disappointing!

This place needs a deep cleaning! There were bugs and deflated balloons in the kitchen and living room windows, the floors were nasty! We found a razor cap in the bathtub, dog or cat hair EVERYWHERE, the hot tub had a nasty film floating in it , the toilets were nasty and the water was yellow!!!!

Christmas at Friendly Bear Cabin

Wonderful Christmas week at this darling cabin. Grandkids loved the decorations and we were cozy around the gas fireplace during the big storm. Close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg but remote enough to feel very private! Nice big hot tub

Perfect cabin in the woods

Wonderful stay for multi-generational family! Something for everyone! My teens loved the outdoors and the hot tub. My husband and parents loved watching football and enjoying Thanksgiving dinner. The rooms were perfect for us. Only one shower. The upstairs bathroom has a large spa bathtub but no shower.

Could be great!

This cabin is in a great, quiet location to easily access Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The property is wooded with a tiny little pond that houses turtles and frogs. The back porch is a great place to hang out and spend time as a family, but if you are looking at renting this for the hot tub, don’t. I realize they drain them to clean them, but it took almost 48 hours for it to heat up The interior is cute and having 3 bedrooms was great! There are two “full” bathrooms, however it’s more like 1.5 since the one upstairs only has a jetted tub (and I would recommend bringing cleaning supplies before you use it.) The whole house could use a really good dusting, especially the downstairs bathroom walls. For the price I paid for 3 nights, I would probably look at renting somewhere else next time which I hate to say because the cabin has such great potential!
