About this property

Nubbintown Lodge Great for Large Family or Retreat

Nubbintown Lodge is the perfect destination for anyone seeking a quiet farm stay away from city life and lights to stargaze. The lodge is located on a working farm and upon request guests can be taken on a tour of the farm and feed the horses. The lodge is completely private and can accommodate short or long stays. There is a convenient small town grocery store 2 miles down the road. The town of Edison is a very small and friendly community that will transport visitors into simpler times.

The home is a large open concept A frame house. The bedrooms are separated into two wings. Bedrooms 1 and 2 are on the west wing and bedrooms 3 and 4 are on the east wing. All of the bedroom can be locked for privacy. Every room has its own closet and sitting area. The large front and back porches offer different views of the sceneries around the home. The back porch overlooks the tranquil pond while the front porch over looks the horse pastures. Guests are welcome to bring their fishing gear to fish in our catch and release pond. Guests can enjoy a fire at night in our fire pit.

Hunting lodge

My family and I stayed here for my daughter birthday and we absolutely loved it. The kids loved the fact that the horses are next to the house. Very clean and maintenance responded quickly for my concerns.

Summertime Soiree

Our group of 4 couples have been hiking together for 24 years and we wanted a serene place to get together and relax as we retreated from this COVID-19 craziness. We laughed, ate, and enjoyed our time together immensely. Perfect place for us!!!

Traditional Southern Hospitality

Anna and her family are warm and refreshing! Their hospitality is second to none and true definition of southern. Their “middle of nowhere” property was perfect for our group of 20. With 8 adults and 12 children there was no shortage of space or relaxation. The kids were able to run, play and just be kids! From the horses to the dogs, all the animals were lovely. Granddaddy and Anna took us on a beautiful tour of their property and gave us a lot of history and details about their crops and family. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again!

Great experience for our youth group!!

The house was great- clean, kitchen stocked well with necessities for cooking, the property is gorgeous and the family who rents the house are very welcoming. There are horses on the property our youth really enjoyed feeding and petting them. Beautiful deck to sit on and enjoy the view. Great place to stay for a quiet getaway.

You need to stay here!!

Beautiful place with so much room!! They even made us homemade cinnamon rolls that were so good we devoured them the first night. It’s was so nice to have everyone in their own room with their own bathroom! We were able to fish, relax on the front or back porch or just sit on the great big living room and visit with each other. It felt like home. Thank you for sharing it with us!!
