Amazing location, beautiful property, made us feel at home. The backyard is fenced and the hot tub is very private. Lot's of room, great appliances, very comfortable. Upstairs bed could use some TLC, but the owner was very responsive to the issue. Perfect stay!
We loved this place. Very clean, nice hot tub and deck area. Walking distance to downtown. Great place to stay for a ski weekend. Easy communication with the host as well. Would love to stay here again someday.
Comfortable beds, lots of bathrooms, easy walk to downtown!
We had a great stay over Christmas. The owner communicated all the details very well, how to get in, remotes for everything, etc. It was decorated cute and is a cozy house. The only small suggestion I have is for more comfortable seating in the living room since the house can sleep up to 8 people. Would definitely stay again!
My husband and I stayed here over a weekend. There was a slight issue with the VRBO reservation, but I was able to get everything resolved quickly with the property owner, who was very friendly and helpful. The house is beautiful, with lots of light and great details. Everything you need is provided, and the property was immaculately clean. Great location, feels very quiet and private, but you can walk to everything downtown. I would definitely reserve this spot again!
We LOVED staying at this home in Red Lodge. The house had everything we needed to be a home away from home. Lots of room, a hot tub in a private backyard, fully equipped kitchen, lots of bedrooms, LOTS of bathrooms (I think there was four!), within walking distance of downtown, comfortable living room to have down time, washer and dryer, fireplace to warm up after skiing, I could go on and on.
Some of the things we did while staying here: skiing at Red Lodge Mountain, the Yellowstone wildlife center, Red Lodge Pizza Co. (very kid friendly), bowling alley, Mexican restAraunt, Red Lodge cafe and downtown shopping. If you have kids, check out the old candy store downtown, my kids loved it! I cannot imagine staying at a hotel when you can rent a VRBO with space for the kids to run, some privacy away from group if you need a nap and more than one bathroom. Just great!
What a beautiful home that met all our expectations and more. With each bedroom having an ensuite we were able to have privacy when needed and the hot tub, patio area with barbecue provided great entertaining options for our family to enjoy each other's company.
This Red Lodge home was really nice and we would highly recommend it to others. It is spacious and cozy, and located within walking distance of downtown Red Lodge. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Perfect vacation home in the historic district ready for year round relaxation and enjoyment.
Ellen’s house is a peaceful oasis within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants or driving into the mountains. She was a superbly efficient host. The modern kitchen is well equipped. The number of en-suite bedrooms was especially desirable. The hot tub was well maintained and welcoming after a day of hiking. We stayed downstairs in the cooler bedroom during our August stay. The open doors and windows in her peaceful neighborhood allowed a refreshing cross breeze throughout the first floor. The sound of the creek out back enchanting with that first cup of coffee. This is a cozy four season home with enough storage space for summer sports. We could easily imagine spending a winter ski holiday here. Thank you, Ellen, for a wonderful stay!
This place was everything we expected. The kids each had their own bedrooms and bathrooms and the hot tub was enjoyed by all. Was only a couple minute walk from downtown, which we did every day. And only about a 20 minute drive from the slopes. Would definitely stay there again.
What a wonderful stay! Walked to town and had a doe and two fawns stop by the first night. Beds were very comfortable and having a bathroom for each bedroom was ideal when traveling with adult children.
This property was perfect for our needs. We loved the eclectic decor and layout of the house, plus the proximity to downtown Red Lodge is unbeatable. The property owner was accommodating and responsive. We recommended The Big Spruce House to our family and friends and would happily stay here again!
