This grand hundred-year-old Craftsmen home is located in the small quiet town of Kasson, Minnesota 15 minutes from Rochester and the Mayo Clinic system by a 4-lane highway. This is not an entire home but a fully furnished bedroom with a comfortable queen-sized bed, a shared full bathroom with a walk-in shower. We offer overnight stays, short-term stays or discounted extended stay lodging. The bedroom is located on the second level of the home. Amazing Stay!

Wonderful host! Tam made me feel very welcome. Beautiful home in a super location. Took a lovely walk and came back to a cozy home. Slept better than I have in months in a perfect room. The room was clean and quiet. It offered simple amenities but that was what I wanted. Any single or couple who wants to explore this part of southeast Minnesota or visit the hospital or clinics in Rochester will find this a comfortable, quiet, and inexpensive retreat at the end of the day.

Treated Like Family!

My experience staying with the Call family has been wonderful! From the first weeks, when I wasn't sure if my critically ill wife at Mayo was going to make it, to the current fairly good prognosis, they have always been supportive and concerned about her well-being and mine. The accommodations could not be better. Anything need or request I've had Tam has cheerfully addressed. And during a recent snow storm when my car slid into a snow drift off the highway, Daron went way above and beyond to take me to auto towing services to help get my car out of the snow and back on the road. I would highly recommend these accommodations to anyone. If you are looking for a great room with a comfortable bed and a friendly welcome at the end of your day, then this is the place for you. And to top it all off, it is an economical alternative to a hotel stay.

This place is about 20 minutes to Mayo Clinic. The bed is comfortable and the room is nice. You can lock your door while you’re gone. We loved sitting on the front porch to have our meal.

Cute... But...

Our room was inviting, the house its self was quaint but our window would make a lot if noise when the wind would blow. And it stormed that night. So sleeping was difficult. Also, the bed itself was a little too firm. And we couldn't turn the volume up on the TV. There are 4 bedrooms upstairs and all have to share the one full bathroom. There was another couple staying there with us and waiting for the bathroom was frustrating. There's another half bath on the first floor. But in the middle of the night I didn't want to have to go down stairs.

We love this home with its beautiful natural wood throughout the house. It is the type of home that welcomes and the neighborhood is so peaceful and quiet.

What makes this property unique

The best feature of our home is the front porch which gets the morning sun and the afternoon shade. The porch swing is cozy and the sitting area inviting. It is a nice way to enjoy the outdoors.
