Evans and Wilderness Area. Fish for trout from the private bridge or on the banks with over 1,000' of creek frontage. Arapaho National Forest trails accessible from the back yard. Great Cozy Cabin
This is a nice little cabin along the river. The cabin had everything you could need (and more) in terms of the kitchen. The beds were very comfortable. We brought and played lots of games by the fireplace on the very cold weekend we were there. We skiied Loveland, which is about a half hour away. We did some snowshoeing and went up and "hiked" in our snow gear around Echo Lake.

Perfect Getaway
This is our second stay at the Arapaho Cliffs cabin. It's perfect for a getaway from the hustle-bustle of Denver's city life. We love the comfy, cozy and clean cabin, and the river flowing outside the door is extra nice. We enjoyed hanging out by the river and watching deer in the meadow. Our family enjoyed lots of activities around the area including exploring the shops and restaurants in Idaho Springs, the Georgetown Loop train ride and hiking near Echo Lake. We will, without a doubt, enjoy a stay at Arapaho Cliffs cabin again.

Beautiful Home
We were an extended family of six and stayed for three days. This is a beautifully decorated rustic home with all of the modern amenities. The beds were comfortable. There were two bedrooms on the first floor, so my mother never had to climb stairs other than the two or three to the deck. The sound of the stream out front was very nice, although some of the time it was hard to hear during peak traffic times or when the motorcycles were screaming down the canyon road out front. Too close to the road to feel out in the country but the fishing directly in front of the home was very nice. Just caught little ones, but my family and I enjoyed it nonetheless. The property backed up against trees and the mountain and across the river/stream was the road and then the canyon wall (very close). The view was not amazing, but it was not horrible either. We did not attempt the trail behind the cabin as my son said it was very overgrown (which the host told us in the extensive information in the home). But, all around the home are various edible and medicinal plants my mother truly enjoyed leisurely walking around the yard to examine. And we never saw another person. The canyon road this cabin is on is a bit junky with what appear to be defunct trucks/trailers dotted along it. Recommend Idaho Springs do something about that. But when you cross that little bridge to the cabin or when you explore Mount Blue Sky, you forget all about it. Stay here. We plan to go back and enjoy it again.

Glorious!!!
What a wonderful place!!! We spent so much time just hiking around the property and lounging by the creek. It was perfect and we did NOT want to leave. It was a quick 10 minute drive to Echo Lake for hiking and a picnic. We would LOVE to come back!!!!!!!!!!!!

This place is the perfect get away. This is our second stay. We come from a big city so we want to get away but also like the convenience of city life and the amenities. This place provides exactly that. And perfectly located between city and nature activities.

Great place that balances privacy and convenient access
It’s hard to believe this place is as close to Denver as it is. On a relatively quiet street, with lots of creek noise to cover any road sounds. Great setup inside, plenty of space, and lots to do nearby. We are longtime Colorado residents and really enjoyed our stay here!

Summer 2024
We loved our stay here and would rent it again if we were in the area. It does sit right on a highway so there is traffic noise we were not expecting, but it wasn't too bad. It was very well stocked with all cooking and bath needs. Better than any other VRBO we have stayed at. There is a short walking path behind the house, but it ends with a private property notice at the property line. We loved hanging out by the creek and enjoyed having a fire. There are lots of outdoor sitting options so you can enjoy being in the sun or the shade. The pricing listed is for 2 people. There is an upcharge for each additional person above 2.

We lived in Colorado for more than 20 years and after a careful search, purchased this cabin for our family’s use during frequent trips to Colorado and enjoy sharing it with our guests. Why they chose this property

We love the setting of our cabin, nestled in a canyon, with a roaring creek, surrounded by National Forest, and without another home in sight. We also like the convenient location near the lively and vibrant City of Denver, with every available cultural activity and amenity; the quaint and historic town of Idaho Springs; and all the splendid sights and activities in the Rocky Mountains.

What makes this property unique

The sights and sounds of the creek are truly magical. On a more practical note, the cabin is extremely easy to find and easy to get to anytime of year on paved roads that are snow-plowed regularly. Winter access is about as good as it gets for the mountains in Colorado.
