This condo was in the perfect spot for us to get to the new indoor ice rink for my son’s hockey tournament. It was just what we needed for the weekend and just enough space for us to chill and hang out. It snowed our last night there and the kids loved the fact that they could walk outside and play in it.
We’ve stayed in different condos in this complex many times and the facilities are great. Nice jacuzzi and saunas, which is key after a long day on the mountain. The green line stops literally across the street and you’re at Eagle Lodge in 5 minutes. Can’t beat that.
Dirty, disorganized and dark. The watering time coincided with the 4:00 check in so it made for a wet entrance. Also, I had to clean up someone else’s pet dried urine.
Overall an acceptable condo. Interior is dated but functional. The shower had serious issues. Shower head much too short, shortage of hot water and the bathtub needs to be replaced. No towels were provided for the hot tub.
This property is in desperate need of some TLC. Just even a shower head allowing not just midgets to take a decent shower. The location is fabulous. Bus to eagle lodge is 2 minutes away. No need to drive.
Condo is floor plan is convenient as well as complex. Wide outdoor space, pool and tennis. Picnic table and BBQ right outside the door! Place could use some very basic inexpensive improvements. Bunk beds mattresses are very thin ( best for under 100lbs). Bring your own pots and pans if you like to cook.
Great location. Nice and quiet. Easy check-in. Overall, not bad.
My main gripe is identical to what other reviewers have stated: the curtains are pretty much useless. They don’t really offer privacy anywhere in the condo because they don’t overlap. This goes for the bedroom and living room.
The property was as advertised, with a couple of bonuses. The games room, hot tub and sauna was better than expected. The kids had fun there.
Pros: location, parking, comfortable space, TV and sound, fireplace, adequate kitchen stuff - was able to cook every night, game room, hot tub, sauna.
Cons: Floors (ground floor) are freezing - bring slippers! Some of the pots need to be replaced (peeling teflon is not the healthiest option). Not too well noise-insulated from neighbors. WiFi and Verizon service was dreadful.
We stayed at Sunshine Village 173 over spring break, and were very, very pleased with the condo. It is comfortable and well laid out with decent Internet and streaming television options.
What sets this condo apart from others are the location and kitchen amenities. This was a very well-equipped kitchen, just like home, with all the pots, pans, baking dishes and utensils needed to prepare any type of meal. The location is amazing, it’s a ground floor condo with parking directly in front - no hauling skis and bags halfway across the complex. The Trolley/bus stop is right out the driveway. It could not be more convenient, so you won’t have to worry about parking when you’re skiing or doing other activities around Mammoth. The pool and Jacuzzi were clean and accessible with pool tables and other fun stuff in the community room.
One of the reasons we chose this particular condo was that it is pet friendly. They have doggy waste bags in convenient locations.
Highly recommended for a couple or family with two kids.
The property is accurately described on the website and was clean overall considering pets are allowed, which I really appreciate. The location is also great.
However, there was dirt in the drawers in the bedroom and some other minor cleaning issues. I really wish there would have been a vacuum cleaner available in the unit. My main reservation though is that I was not told that the laundry room was going to be closed due to Covid. We would have brought more clothes. Instead we had to go to a public Laundromat which from a Covid point of view was even more unsafe and surprisingly expensive.
The property should have been much more candid of the condition. While we understand that Mammoth has had a massive amount of snow, we walked into a home that was dusty and damaged. The windows were boarded up letting no light or air in. The balcony door was also locked and jammed. The heating unit was letting off a strange smell. The shower/tub was leaking. The bathroom sink also leaked the entire time. Location was great but would not stay here again.
We had a nice stay. Check-in was super easy. Bed was comfortable and the bunks worked great for a 7 & 8 yr old. Game room was nice for the kids, only the pool table was out of order. Spa and pool are super close to the unit and a nice treat at the end of the day. Trolley stop is right out front. There are grassy areas out front for your leashed pets.
The reviews are spot on so if you’re looking for any bells and whistles, this is not your place. I would say my only worthwhile complaint was that the back slider is non-functioning. It creates a bit of a safety/security issue. And yes, I did bring it to the attention of the management company. Not really anything that could be done during our stay but hopefully it gets addressed for further occupants.
We stay in mammoth a lot and have booked in various locations but we love this place the best so far! You’re super close to old mammoth road where there’s a few of my favorite restaurants! You can walk there if the snow level isn’t too high otherwise sidewalks get buried! This condo was spacious and it had updated furniture and a comfy mattress! We didn’t have any neighbors so I couldn’t tell ya if the upstairs foot steps can be heard. We had quiet nights and restful sleep. The only down side which wasn’t really a big deal is the bathroom. It was small and had a short shower head. I fit perfectly underneath it though but I’m 5’3. It had a handheld shower head though so you can manage. Honestly not a deal breaker for us. Parking lot had plenty of spots to park and you’re allowed 2 cars for this unit I believe. Comfy couch and a burning fireplace… What more do you need?! We also had a balcony which we loved. Property was nice and clean and they have plenty of areas to take your dog out to potty. Poop bags were plentiful too! We will definitely be back in the future!
To whom this may cocern,
As mentioned above, A one. Especially the local guide. The pet friendly is also a big plus. Amenities such as kitchen and how it was equipped meant all my needs, thank you.
What i found troublesome was some things l feel could have been better.
Maintenance was substandard. Found the following, showerheard not adjustable for height, patio door totally inoperable, tub drain inoperable- leaked badly and l could not take a bath. Went to gameroom and after depositing coin, no balls in the table. You all got me for a buck by the way, lol. The spa ph was way off, chlorine odor was very strong. (Had my own pool/spa company, fyi). That said aside from the construction noise, our stay was decent. Would I recommend anyone, depends on how you respond to this.
FYI
I have been in the service/maintenance/and property management industry for all my life. I turned 63 on the 1st of this month and I believe i could truly be a benefit to your company.
That said, take care and i hope you all the best.
Sincerely Gene and Jessica.
The condo was in a corner unit, which is nice. Shower head is low but it worked.
Blinds in bedroom need to be replaced, had to use a beach towel so people could not see in. Very clean. Nice furniture.
Great place, tons of nostalgia in this classic Mammoth condo. Make sure to bring your own towels for spa.

You get what you pay for
We arrived early and saw the president of the hoa in the parking area. At least that is who he said he was and he told us we could get the keys with the code near the office for our space numberI did this and checked myself in or at least that was my thought at the moment. A couple guys stopped by that had checked out that day who had left two of their pillows. After they looked through the place they took two pillows which ended up being the ones we brought with us. No big deal it was a mistake. . Amenities good but crowded and hard to get a peaceful spa to ourselves. A lot of younger kids partying and being loud dominating the spa area . But that is a hit and miss scenario. All cookware we needed was supplied There was an oil issue. Snow melts and someone’s oil was iall over the front where then gravity runs it down the walkway to the unit. It had been clear this was a previous issue as The floor was swept but not mopped. I walked barefoot one time and one time only because my feet were black afterwards. One of the coffee makers does need to be thrown away as it don’t work but the secondary one we found worked good. The bed was ok comfort wise but moved easily when shifting around while in bed. The curtains on the back sliding door did not provide adequate privacy at night Again you get what you pay for. The place was overall decent from that standpoint. The blinds in the bedroom are also falling off We had a good time and would return for a future visit. But would definitely bring our own mop and sheets for covering the windows for privacy.

Great location for a ski holiday!
Overall this place was a really great place to sTay and had everything we needed. It was a short bus to get on the mountain at Eagle Lodge, was close to old mammoth road and the village, and had a really great hot tub that was such a treat after a day skiing! Would happily stay here again.
