Newly Renovated Historic Loft in the Heart of Downtown Ann Arbor
We have meticulously cared for this unit to ensure that whoever stays here will be absolutely stunned at how gorgeous the place is, while at the same time extremely comfortable & inviting.
This is an absolutely prime location 2 blocks east of Main Street and 2 blocks west of State Street. The condo is abover the Blue Nile restaurant (and overlooks Aventura) at the corner of Fifth Avenue & Washington Streets. And since many of you are football fans you will be pleased to know that The Big House is only 1.2 miles away.
This historic building was built by Michael Weinmann and John Gall in 1868 where it served as a meat market with the family residence being above it (where this condo is now). The entire building was remodeled in 2002 and this condo was remodeled again in 2018.
There is parking and elevator access available to guests behind the building. upon request. Please let us know if you will need access to a parking spot or the elevator during your stay.
Guests will have the ability to use a private entrance off of Washington Street (to the left of the entrance to the Blue Nile Restaurant) to enter the building. Both the exterior door and the door to the unit (Suite 202) will be programmed with the last 4 digits of your phone number for ease of use. Because of how central you will be to all the action a car rental is not really necessary.
We look forward to hosting you and please reach out with any questions for us!
*Please note that there are security cameras in the common areas of the building for the safety & security of our guests, tenants and for the other property owners.

The place was fantastic, just as advertised. The location was ideal for exploring downtown, and an easy walk to the stadium. The host were very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend.
This was our first time staying in a VRBO in Ann Arbor. The owner/manager is very responsive. The condo is very centrally located, clean, and well stocked. We thought it was much better value than staying in the Graduate hotel. The only thing I would flag is that the room with the bunk beds is really more appropriate for children and is connected to the master bedroom.
The condo was great for our group of 4 friends. We loved the location and being able to walk everywhere. Only 1 parking space is provided. Public parking is limited in available and strict hours which made it difficult and added to the cost.
We loved our stay in Ann Arbor. The location of this loft can’t be beat. We were so close to all the great restaurants on Main Street and also walked to the game. The owner was easy to communicate with and very responsive. The loft was clean and well maintained and a perfect size for the 7 of us back for a college reunion. I would definitely stay here again!
Great loft that is spacious, clean, well appointed and in a great location. Only shortcoming is that there was only one parking space and it was too small for my full size pickup.
We enjoyed our stay at this condo in downtown Ann Arbor. The property was very well stocked with necessary supplies and had a fully stocked kitchen ready for use which was appreciated. The decor was welcoming and comfortable for our short stay. We would consider this option again for another trip.
A couple items to note that should be better clarified in the listing:
- The parking is super tight for a large SUV to navigate and street parking is not ideal in Downtown Ann Arbor
- There is no access to the unit or the elevator from the alley/parking area, so all luggage and groceries have to be hauled down the alley and around to the front street access, which is less than convenient.
- The bunkroom is actually accessed from inside the master bedroom. We traveled with 16 & 18 year old teenagers, so privacy was a bit of an issue for our group since they had to walk through the master bedroom for entry/exit.
Overall, this was an enjoyable stay with good communication and directions from the property contact.
The property is stylish and new, and well appointed. Everything worked fine. Two large BRs with queen beds and a bunk bed room. Great location for access to downtown AA and campus, although note that there is some street noise as you would expect, although manageable. Overall a top quality apartment that my family enjoyed staying in. Thanks!
Another great stay. The unit is well appointed, clean, comfortable with good living space for our group of family and a friend. We’ve stayed here before and really enjoy the amenities as well as being walkable to many restaurants. The property manager is responsive, check in easy.
Highly recommend!
We planned a trip to Ann Arbor for our daughter's and son-in-law's graduation. We were looking for a central spot that was convenient to all areas. We booked here.
We were very happy with the location and the place. It was very clean and comfortable. The spot was well equipped with everything you would need for the kitchen, baths, washer/dryer, etc. It was exceptional and we would definitely return!
Location is perfect for anything you want to walk to in Ann Arbor. The large windows give so much light. Management was responsive to a clogged kitchen sink. We prepared Easter dinner with a limited kitchen inventory. Clearly most visitors order out. The room with the triple bunks has no windows and opens to the Master bedroom. Perfect for young children or my college children but not another couple. Would stay there again.
Attractive space. two flights of stairs a surprise. TV streaming a bit complicated. Ice machine clogged; could have used more than one blanket on the bed. Clean, well located; owner responsive.
Love the downtown location, but because of this the area is very active and lively. Great space and easy check in. Communication was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.
Very much enjoyed the location of this property. We were in town for a work conference being held at the University of Michigan. The location was in walking distance from our daily classes, which was very helpful. The location itself very clean and well-kept. Communication was excellent with the host they were able to answer questions when we had them. We will definitely be booking this location again next year.
Such a fun and comfortable home to share for our grad celebration. The space was excellent and location was tremendous. So glad we chose this spot.
My only complaint would be that it could use a little extra cleaning of the cabinets and floorboards.
I really appreciated the great communication from hosts David and Mike! Very helpful and accommodating.
The condo was set up nicely with everything we needed. The location was so convenient within walking distance of restaurants and shops. The owners were so easy to work with and so accommodating. The check in and out process was super easy.
We are a family of 5 that lives only 3.5 blocks from this condo and we also own all the commercial space within the same building. Owning real estate is somewhat of a hobby for us and we love short term rentals since we enjoy being a part of creating new experiences for our guests :-)
Why they chose this property
This condo is in a perfect location for those visiting Ann Arbor and being a fan of local history, this condo was ideal - since most condos in downtown are new builds and tend to lack character.
