Lordy Lordy...I could have stayed permanently at Carl and Sabine's heavenly property. The home oozes charm and comfort and is a visual stunner. Carl is a wonderful host and is more than happy to share his knowledge about the fascinating history surrounding the property. NEWTON is a lovely dog and very enthusiastic to accompany you on your strolls around the surrounding property. THE BEAKFAST!! OH MY GOD....croissants straight from the oven, divine apple and pear tarts, local cheeses and butter and milk straight from the source...words escape. It was a work of art. Carl also gave us useful information about local restaurants and tours to take. The room exceeded our expectations. BEST BED I slept in on my two week journey. I cannot recommend this property more highly. It is in the heart of where you need to be to visit Omaha Beach and the cemeteries but also perfect as a touring base. I am in love. Thank you so much Carl and Sabine.

Perfectly Charming
We had a perfect stay. Our host was there waiting for us to check in. Breakfast was amazing each day and our host was so helpful with recommendations for where to tour, what to skip, and especially where to eat!! It’s a great location for touring the d-day sites and museums!

Lovely chateau close to WWII sites
We had a wonderful stay at the chateau as part of our Normandy visit to Omaha beach and the American cemetery. Great breakfast and Carl and Sabine are great hosts. They helped us plan our visit and made reservations for us in a local restaurant in a nearby village. GPS worked well as the chateau is just outside a picturesque town. Located about 5km from Omaha beach.

Great experience
This property is exactly as described and shown in the listing. We were welcomed by the owners and helped to our room. They provided great recommendations for eating and sites in the area. The house and room was clean and comfortable. We were asked what we would like for breakfast and were provided more than requested in a beautiful dining room. The owners were present, spoke our language and conversed with us about the history of the house and the area. This is a perfect place to stay if you are seeking to explore the battles of Normandy. Driving in the area is picturesque but it is remote, so plan for distance to luxuries. I could see coming back with a group of friends to this house and this area. We loved it.
