About this property

The barn & watering can - four seasons in the heart of the Chartreuse

The cottage is situated in an old barn of 1830, hence the name "La Grange". It is located in Claret, a typical mountain hamlet in the heart of the regional park of Chartreuse. The hamlet is located at 1000 m. above sea level with stunning views of mountains, forests and meadows of Chartreuse. You can go by foot, bike or snowshoe from the house or join various beautiful places to ski, climb, swim, explore the culture and the products and local gastronomy. The Chartreuse Mountains was appointed as Regional Park a few years ago, in recognition of its outstanding natural beauty; it houses some of the rarest species of plants in the Alps and a wide range of wildlife. The area also has a rich history, particularly marked by the presence of the Carthusian monks in the monastery of the Grande Chartreuse. The massif is located near Grenoble, Annecy and Chambery.

Road trip stop off
We arrived cold and wet after a day on the bikes in the rain. The Gîte was cosy and comfortable with plenty of heating to dry out. We would be happy to return with the hope of drier weather. We could easily spend a few days exploring the region.

Sommerurlaub Chartreuse
Wir hatten eine tolle Woche in der Chartreuse und haben uns im Haus in Les Clarets sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist vollständig und gemütlich eingerichtet. Im Garten und auf der Terrasse konnte man in der herrlichen Umgebung gemeinsam frühstücken und zu Abend essen. Die Gastgeber sind äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir würden jederzeit wieder unseren Urlaub dort verbringen.

Nos sommes ravis d'avoir séjourné dans cette maison typique au cœur des montagnes de chartreuse, la maison est confortable et bien équipé, le cadre est vert et reposant, proche de toutes les zones d'activités (randonnées, canyoning, spéléologie...) . Et un point formidable: la présence d'un poêle à cheminée très apprécié même au printemps ! Deux précisions qui n'était pas très claires: - le gîte est accolé à la maison des propriétaires et le jardin est en commun (chacun a fait preuve de discrétion, pour nous ce n'était pas un problème) - la connexion wifi n'est pas extraordinaire si on veut travailler à plus de 4 personnes en même temps. Merci pour cette pause hors du temps :)

😊Très beau chalet, bien placé et tout équipé. Les hôtes sont disponibles et de bons conseils. La literie est excellente, toutes les pièces sont spacieuses et chaleureuses. 😕 Le seul petit bémol personnel : ne pas pouvoir faire le noir total dans les chambres pour dormir. Merci à Claire pour sa réactivité face à nos questions.

Gîte dans les hauteurs de Saint Pierre d'Entremont avec un environnement montagne/campagne qui assure une bonne coupure tout en ayant les commerces à proximité en voiture. Régal pour les yeux et balades assurées avec cet environnement. Propriétaires très agréables. Literie au top ! (détail mais ... à force de faire des gîtes je réalise que le duo matelas/oreillers au top ne sont pas toujours au rdv et là : nickel !).

Un moment de retrouvailles
Nous avons passé unnsuper moment dans ce lieu enchanteur. Un weekend de retrouvailles entre amis venu de Lyon, Villeurbanne, Vienne et Grenoble. Ce weekend qu'on nous annonçait pluvieux s'est avéré en fait agréable puisque la pluie nous a épargné. Nous recommandons chaleureusement cet endroit idéal avec ses 3 salles de bains attenantes a chaque chambre. Merci a ce couple sympathique.
