For us it was a jackpot - we love to fish , sitting by the fire pit, relax in jacuzzi, we are coming back 100% . Not much to do in the neighborhood it's a small town but if you like all above this place is for you.
Quaint little house on the lake. Dead end road meant no traffic. The house was very clean and comfortable. The host, Kristin, was a pleasure to work with throughout the whole process.
Beautiful and private lake home with amazing morning and sunset views on the calm water. Felt very private and secluded despite being just minutes from downtown Mauston. Really enjoyed the screened in porch (with lights and a fan) at sunset and there is enough space for yard games, laying out or a picnic. Host was very responsive!
The home was perfectly clean and had all the fixings for a comfortable, relaxing time. We LOVED looking at the lake all day. and it is conveniently located to nearby activities. Wonderful job, Kristin!
Great place for a “meet in the middle” weekend between Minneapolis and Chicago. Very clean with large common places to spend time in together. Whole place — particularly thee kitchen — had everything we needed and more. They’ve thought of everything.
A very clean and comfortable house for 2 adults and 2 kids. We especially enjoyed the screen porch and hot tub and fishing off the dock. It was extremely hot several of the days we were there so that limited some activities, but we went to the state park to swim and also drove into the Dells area a couple of times for adventures. Thanks for sharing your place with us Kristin!
We had a wonderful fall break at this home. The weather turned cold and cloudy, but we still had fun at the apple orchard, on two different horse trail rides, and at the Dells. The house was very clean and the kitchen was well appointed. It had everything we needed and I loved the wall of windows with lake views! The bedrooms were small, but worked well for us. We all enjoyed the hot tub in the cool weather! The neighborhood is so-so, but there were no issues and the house is hidden on a cul-de -sac with no one on either side. It is amazing to be secluded on a lake, while still in a town. You can hear the trains and the traffic from the interstate, but this was not a problem. Do watch the tiny step down into the kitchen, as it is easy to trip over. Oh, and there was a small farmer's market on Saturday. We got some produce, along with Amish bread and pie! We were very happy with our stay.
My best friend and I stayed at this house over Memorial Day weekend and we had an absolute blast and made some incredible memories. The house had everything we needed and then some. It is right on the lake and is really private as it is at the end of a dead-end street. You are just a few minutes from downtown Mauston. The views were breathtaking. Kristin was very helpful with our questions and quick to respond.
The only things I would suggest for future guests are to bring paper plates (they have dishes but they are heavy and we ate in the sunroom a couple of times so it's more for convenience), firewood (the listing states they do not provide this) and soap for your shower.
We definitely plan to stay here again.
Well maintained vacation home on a quiet street.
We stayed comfortably cool during the heat of summer by using the supplied fans to keep air moving. The single room air conditioner helped.
We kept our small boat tied up to the dock with no issues. The paddle boat was fun to use. Caught some fish, but lake level was down a few feet due to drought conditions (Mother Nature to blame)
Living area was comfy. Bathrooms were clean. Kitchen had everything we needed to make meals for the week.
Mauston is a small community and we enjoyed some local dining and ice cream. Hit up Walgreens, Festival Foods and the local bait shop for things we forgot to bring.
Overall we enjoyed our time and were able to relax!
We were visiting Mauston area for a family reunion and this was the perfect place fir us to stay! The cabin is exactly as shown in photos. The cabin is very well stocked - plenty of towels, etc and kitchen supplies. I was easily able to cook in the well stocked kitchen. The hot tub was clean and great to sit in to welcome the morning. We had family come by on Friday night and enjoyed sitting outside viewing the lake and building a fire for S’mores. Really appreciated the lighters and roasting sticks that were supplied. Beds were comfortable with nice linens and extra pillows and blankets. The AC & fans kept the cabin comfortable. We Really enjoyed our stay and owner was very responsive. We had no issues at all. Two things to simply be aware of: the lake has a lot of floating moss - I wouldn’t go in but had time allowed I would’ve gone out on canoe or paddle boat. The other is there are some ants in the cabin. It is a cabin on a lake so I wasn’t surprised & they were limited but I know some people have issues with bugs. We would absolutely stay again.
Well equipped lake home on the lake with beautiful sunsets and sunrises. 7 adult women enjoyed games in the screened porch, basking in tubes tied to the docks, and yard games in the ample side yard. Beds and pillows very comfortable and host very responsive. Quiet neighborhood on private dead end. There is just one wall AC in main room. It does a great and quick job of cooling the LR, DR and Kitchen but bedrooms do get pretty warm. 4 supplied fans helped, but it was 89 and sunny two days, so we definitely had some heat. Would love to stay again in the fall. Thanks for a welcoming and comfortable stay!
We enjoyed the lake view and boating in both the paddle boat and canoe. The pleasant fall weather allowed for nightly use of the fire pit right next to the water. All spaces indoors were very clean and as described by words and pictures. Host was prompt in answering all inquiries. Thank you.
The cabin is very nice. Well equipped and decor is charming. The kitchen has everything you could need to make most anything. I gave it a 4 only because we were disappointed with the lake. It was the end of August and weedier than we had hoped. We did use the paddle boat--which was fun. Also our stay was during the county fair and we went to that--which was very fun. Demolition derby was very entertaining!
We stayed at this lake house with my mom, brother and 4 kids. The house is cute and clean. Quiet neighborhood. The lake is a lake, if you are expecting crystal clear you will be disappointed. There was a lot of green things not really seaweed more like tree seeds. Just make sure your rinse off thoroughly. We floated on tubes and the kids swam. Overall very happy with this choice.
Very nice and clean. Kristin was a dream to deal with!
Sunsets, bonfire, close to everything, but tranquil.
And the fish were biting. What more can you ask for?
Oh, and the hot tub was perfect.
Very clean property. I am very picky and it lived up to my expectations. The lake was very pretty but we did not swim in it but did use the canoe and the paddle boat. The hot tub was a win. We used the other area lakes for swimming activities as the lake on the property is not ideal for swimming. Very quiet and private. I would highly recommend to anyone to stay if they want to take advantage of Wisconsin Dells area.
The property was as advertised and clean, the lake was right outside the back door. The screened in porch was a great place to enjoy the breeze in the afternoon and evening. The beautiful view was visible from most of the house, and having 2 piers was nice. There were plenty of towels for all 4 of us, and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. The necessities (gas, groceries, dining) are all within about a 5 minute ride. This is a great place to get away for a while.
Very relaxing stay. Cabin was clean and had everything you needed.

Why they chose this property
The neighborhood surrounding this home would not have been our first choice. We have never had any issues. It was the quietness and beautiful lake views from the property that drew us in. To sit and relax and enjoy the breathtaking views is serene!
