House beautiful terrace two more floors with own entrance and easy parking. The kitchen is equipped with appliances, dishes and other accessories to prepare and enjoy your meals. The room is airy and fresh, decorated with simplicity and good taste. The room is large and sunny, with two doors on the street, edged with beautiful bougainvillea. It features a double bed XL, a large wardrobe and mirror. The bathroom is naturally bright and has a bath. The toilet is separated, allowing an independent use of the toilet. The House Toad has a patio with a shower for after beach. The large terrace has tables and chairs, so you can enjoy it at any time of day. The decor is exquisite and comfortable. Tavira Getaway

Delightful terrace and perfect location!

Regina was very quick to respond to all our communications before and during our stay and was able to do so in French (which we appreciated). Her daughter Isa was present to welcome us (which seems to be an increasingly rare occurence for vacation rentals); she gave us many useful tips. Even though we were there in February, we enjoyed the terrace. The house is located near many great restaurants, a nice grocery store and the two pedestrian bridges at the centre of Tavira. We had rented a car and had no trouble parking in nearby streets. All the appliances worked well, with many options for heating during the cool evenings. Thank you Regina and Isa for a wonderful stay in charming Tavira!

Great host and location

We stayed in a unique very Portugal apartment which was just what we were looking for. The apartment was located in the center of town so we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. The host met us at the apartment and showed everything we needed to know and responded quickly when we needed help. Great stay!

Perfect Tavira syay

This funky apartment was perfect for our visit to Tavira. It’s located in a beautiful authentic neighbourhood within walking to all the best Tavira has to offer. We loved having a sunny rooftop level patio to chill out on - definitely a big bonus! Our hosts were also amazing. We highly recommend Regina’s place

A great week in Tavira

A lovely little house with all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay for 2 people. Regina owns the property - it used to be the family home and her love for the property shows. Not ideal for those who struggle with steps but we would be happy to return again.

Nice portuguese appartment in the center of Tavira

I enjoy my stay in that 3 stairs portuguese appartment in the center of Tavira! Regina and her daughter were really nice and respond to all my questions before and while I arrive there. I enjoy the balcony for the coffee in the morning, and the wine at night. Really good local restaurant in the same street, and a sport bar just down the appartment. I enjoy the ambiance of that bar, with the good music, but for some people it could be not as quiet. You have to joint those local people! Don’t worry, it’s stop at 22h.

The Frog House is very unique. A lovely setting of the house with a rooftop and the decorations has a very nice touch. Clean, well located, safe area and convenient to a lot of places. The only disadvantage are lot’s of stairs and not convenient if you have mobility problems, otherwise, you will fall in love with this place.

A cool, design apartment in Tavira

The house is very well furnished, with particular care for design decorations, all very inspired. Very beautiful the terrace with view over the quarter roofs. The house equipment is complete. The only shortcoming is the absence of air conditioning, which - in hot weather cases, like we experienced in July 2023 - may turn out to be unpleasant. Air fans (provided) partially make up for this...

Excellent séjour à Tavira

Nous avons passé un excellent moment dans la ville de Tavira. La maison était parfaite, conforme à l'annonce. Un gros plus pour la magnifique terrasse sur les toits et l'emplacement qui permet de tout faire à pieds: balades, courses, restaurants, ferry pour l'île de Tavira! Merci pour tout!

I've already booked my next stay here

Regina's place was perfect for my 2-month stay. I have already booked again for next October. Regina is a wonderful host -- I really felt so well taken care of & communication with her and her daughter was excellent. I love to stay in places that fit the culture, so the unique characteristics of this home appealed to me. I didn't want to stay in a cookie cutter place -- I wanted a traditional Portuguese home where I could absorb the culture and community. Regina's place has so much going for it if you feel the same way. Yes, there are steep stairs, as others have mentioned. You won't want to be running up and down without paying attention. Maybe you'll want to avoid a place like this if you have trouble with stairs, but for me, the different levels just added to the charm. Check the photos, they are very accurate about the levels & details of this place. The home is very clean & comfortable & well appointed. A new sofa in the living room converts to a bed so I was able to have an overnight guest. The bedroom is large & the bed is firm. Plenty of closet space. The kitchen has several different coffee makers, a hand blender, & the usual stuff you need to feel at home. I especially loved the funky bathroom & private rooftop terrace. The location is perfect. You are in a traditional neighborhood with a grocery store very near, and just 2 minutes to the Roman bridge & great restaurants. The street noise didn't happen often or very late and wasn't a bother to me.

A quirky house in the heart of Tavira

If you like quirky, this is the place for you. Not obvious from the photos, are the multi levels. There are two flights of difficult stairs from the kitchen to the roof top patio, which is delightful, and where you will prefer to dine. The logistics are a challenge, but we managed, using a large container with a lid to carry the food up. Another anomaly, again not obvious from the photos, the entrance is not at the front, but at the rear, which means you have to pull your suitcases along a cobble stone lane at the side, and rear, of the unit. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, after we had adapted, but would have preferred to have known in advance.

Uitstekende locatie

Ideale locatie voor het ontdekken van Tavira en omstreken. Gratis parkeren, op 4min wandelafstand naar centrum, tal van restaurantjes in de buurt. Perfect onthaal, net huisje met een schitterende dakterras. Alles is er aanwezig uitgezonderd bbq. (Zou +++ zijn mocht die er zijn). S´nachts soms wel beetje geluidsoverlast van de 2 pubs in de buurt maar dat is eerder te wijten aan de eigenaars van de pub (uk) en het publiek.

Déçus

Si les photos correspondent à la réalités, la mobilité dans l'espace n'est pas aisé voir dangereux. L'accés doit se faire par l'arriére avec une cour pavée, inconfortable. Oubliez donc l'accés facade. Literie de mauvaise qualité. La ville nous a laissé un agréable souvenir avec de bons établissements et l'accueil des commercants toujours à l'écoute et souvent disponibles notamment en français. Désolés pour cet appréciation peu flateuse. Ce n'est que notre avis à relativiser peut peut être au vu du ressenti des avis sur lesquels nous avions forgé notre choix . Bonne continuation.

Lovely house, a few electrical problems

Property is an old and quirky town house, decorated in a beautiful and original style. I would not recommend for young children as there are lots of steep steps. It also has a delightful roof garden. Regina is a very helpful and gracious hostess. We did have some problems with electrical faults which were inconvenient, but Regina did resolve these as quickly as she could.

Lovely space, great location

Regina's place is a gem. The pictures are very accurate - although we felt that the apartment is even more spacious than it appears in the photos. Regina is a wonderful host - giving a warm welcome and lots of useful information about the area. As many reviews mention, the rooftop terrace is a delightful bonus. We stayed in November and it was warm enough to sit out at night and to enjoy coffee up there in the morning. The apartment is well appointed. The bed is best suited to those who like a firm mattress. Nice hot water and good pressure in the shower. Very quiet space, except as noted in other reviews, the bedroom is right above a restaurant bar - this didn't bother us at all but if you need complete quiet to sleep, it is best to know that. We would happily stay again and highly recommend! Thank you, Regina, for your beautiful space and wonderful hospitality.

Hidden Gem

Many visits to Tavira, first time to this wonderful house. Fantastic position for the town and the beach.Previous reviews mentioned it to be a bit noisy by the road and nearby bar but we had absolutely no issues with any noise. Regina is a wonderful host. Will definitely be staying there again.

Perfect Tavira apartment!

We LOVED our stay here and only wish we could have stayed longer! The host was wonderful and met us when we checked-in to give us a tour and a run down. The apartment itself is lovely - the highlight is the incredible rooftop! Such a perfect location to explore Tavira. We fell in love with this place and hope to visit again in the future!
